WOW! I didn’t realize how much I missed the “Crew-books” till I read this one
OMG! this book was so unbelievable ridiculous good and extremely exciting .
The rough emotions that are playing in this book let you hold your breath for the most part of this story. It’s amazing to see Brens transformation from a teen to a woman. I love her thoughts and feelings. She is as stubborn as usual and of course fights against the world and her feelings most of the time, but she is also growing up into a really amazing and beautiful woman.
Her relationship with Cross is so beautiful and peaceful, you have to love them both
They are really the soul mates, who don’t can be separated.
This whole book is a constant rollercoaster of emotions, feelings and unexpected actions.
So many lies and secrets that were following the Crew, were discovered and solved, but the concern for the future remains.
But that will be disclosed in the next part. I hope it will, because this book ends with a very disturbing scene
I just loved this book so much and am looking forward to the 3rd book in the series.
I would really love a story about the other Crew members and other characters from this book too. There are so many people who are very interesting in this book.
This is the second book in this series and i would highly recommend reading the first book Crew
So the excitment starts right from the beginning and picks up where Crew ended!!
Bren, Cross, Jordon and Zellman are still a tight crew and oh how i love them !!!!
They are loyal, gutsy, determined and will protect each other with their lives!
Rousso has had to take in some pupils from other schools, and tension is high. The Crew is on high alert and ready to defend their territory.
Right from the start this author always makes me feel so attached to the characters that i get so invested that I easily feel that I’m right there taking this journey with them. They are my Crew. This book is packed with excitement but it also gives us so much more, we see family relationships breaking, we see family ties being strengthened. Tijan yet again exceeds all my expectations and this book just blew me away. The plot thickens and you just never know where its going to go, but you know it your heart that this group is going to have to fight for their place. This is definitely a Crew War they cannot lose!! Twists and turns had me devouring the pages, one min laughing, the next swooning because well CROSS !! I love Bren & Cross together and their relationship is unshaken with all they have to deal with. Buckle up and get ready for a roller coaster you won’t want to get off !!!
Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh!!!!!!
I just can’t get a handle on my thoughts, feelings, and fangirling. I have to apologize to all the Crew newbies I’m going to sound like a raving lunatic but all the Fallen Crest fans will know exactly what I’m going through. So #sorrynotsorry
OMG!!!!!! I am trying to tone down my squealing because its 2:14 AM and my husband is asleep but OMG!!!!!
Crew Princess is definitely legendary. Some may say royalty but I think legendary is better More meaningful. Let’s be real…how many royals from around the entire world can you name? Exactly, unless you’re the one history buff smirking at me, it’s a limited amount. But everyone knows the legends…whether good or bad…Henry the 8th, Victoria, King Arthur. You get my point. Legends in their own ways with unforgettable tales.
Bren is on a journey that will either lead to peace or ultimate destruction. As the Crew Princess and the glue that holds her fragile world together, she only sees her pain, loss, and loneliness. Forever trying to fit in in a world where she feels forgotten, Bren has choices to make. She will have everything she knows and believes in put in jeopardy. It’s up to her and her Crew to respond accordingly. Which means.. shits about to go down!
For those that are Fallen Addicts, Crew Princess is like old home week or even Homecoming. It seems like all your favorites and friends come back for a visit!!! I actually fangirled hardcore when certain Fallen friends were mentioned forget when they actually appeared. (Swoons into a fainting chair and sighs in rapturous delight).
I fully expect eye rolls from the “no idea who Kade is” crew but the rest of you… OMG!
I had the best time reading Crew Princess! Not for the visits, though those certainly captured my attention. I enjoyed it because Bren makes a choice. She comes into her own and out of the shadows. She is a fierce female lead who owns her flaws, her mistakes, and needs to get her shit together but she’s real. She gives the reader a flawed heroine that is likeable in her imperfect and completely unraveled chaotic life. She’s tough, loyal, and troubled. She isn’t a rule keeper. She has her own agenda.. Don’t mess with her. She’s the badass we all want the courage to be if we can’t be Heather…or Sam.
Those that have been patiently waiting like well behaved individuals for Crew Princess go forth and enjoy. Those that are bouncy on the balls of their feet waiting, counting, and calculating when they will be able to read Crew Princess while picking which shirt to wear…Mrs.Mason Kade or Mrs. Logan “Motherf@cking” Kade. I salute you and say its every bit worth the wait. It’s all about the connections. All about the interpersonal connections. And let’s not forget the car bombs! Tijan let one off right at the end there! Just blew shit up right in our faces and I smile and say “Bring it on!”
Reviewed for Sweet Spot Sisterhood
I don’t know why I love this series so much! It’s YA! I’m not usually reading a lot of YA. But I really like Bren and Cross. Just wow!
Crew under fire!
The following ratings are out of 5:
Narration:
Romance:
Heat/Steam:
Story/Plot:
World building:
Character development:
The heroine: Bren Monroe – one of the only women in a Crew system. She loves loves her crew and is all in the crew system. She lost her mother at a young age and sometimes really needs her. She hides her feelings deep inside herself and rarely lets them out.
The Hero(es): Cross Shaw – Bren’s boyfriend and in Wolf Crew with her. This is their senior year in high school and it seems everyone in town is determined to bring the crew system down. But it is their life and they aren’t giving it up.
Supporting Characters:
Wolf Crew – Cross Shaw, Bren Monroe, Jordan Pitts, Zellman Greenly;
Cross’s sister & Bren’s Friend – Tasmin (Taz) Shaw
Taz’s boyfriend & friend to Wolf Crew – Race Ryerson
Bren’s Brother & Crew royalty – Channing Monroe (he started the Crew system); He wants to connect with Bren.
Heather – Channing’s long time girlfriend.
Cross’s half brother (new information) Blaise Devore (he is a senior at Fallen Crest Academy)
Ryerson Crew Leader – Drake Ryerson (Bren’s Ex) – he has some ulterior motive for being in town.
The Story: Bren and Cross have been best friends for years and in love for the last year. Crew is their life and things are good at the beginning of the book, but it isn’t long before things start getting stirred up. Jordan gets jumped at a party and some other things start happening where it looks like strings are getting pulled against the kids in Roussou and Crews in particular.
The narration was great. Most of the book was told from Bren’s POV, but this Narrator Therese Plummer, is good at doing teenage male voices as well as the female voice. Then when the male narrator finally started, I liked him as Cross. He has a nice deep voice and his inflection was perfect for a guy like cross. A tough guy who grew up in Roussou.
The story was just as good as the first book. This time the Wolf Crew had different enemies to fight than in the first book as well as different family drama. I had read the book Rich Prick in the past. That one is technically after this one in the timeline, but it was nice to see the crossover in this one. Also we got to see the Kade’s in this book so there was a lot of Fallen Crest crossover as well. I just love how everything fits together so nicely.
“Your first loyalty is to the crew, but mine is to you.”
Holy Whack… This sequel was EVERYTHINGGGGG! I remember seeing another book friend of mine telling me the exact same – And she was beyond right!
I adore Bren. I have a massive crush on Cross and Channing. And throw in all the other side characters (including a real introduction to Blaise & Aspen), I could not stop reading! I devoured this book within 48 hours. I lost sleep, I took extra breaks at work (whoops) just to read on and on about the incredible Crew adventures.
This sequel truly outlines the difference between a Crew and Gang. Tijan wrote it magnificently. She didn’t just say the differences, but she wrote and showed us the difference. And it was fantastic to read.
Bren truly grew in this book. She realised her past mistakes and she grew from them. She knew she couldn’t remain in high school forever and to be the person she knows she wants to be, she simply wanted to be better. Her and Cross are the perfect growth team. They support, they challenge each other to be better and most importantly, they love so deep for each other. Their loyalty is truly a goal I wish more people would realise that if you don’t have loyalty – You won’t grow.
This sequel followed the challenges of the 3x towns Fallen Crest, Rossou and Frisco – And their 3x differences – Rich, Poor and DRUGS.
I can’t truly write much about the plot of this sequel otherwise it will give far too much away but please. Just read. read read read!!!
An easy 5/5 stars.
I love this crew!

WOWSIES I did not expect this. This book started where the first left off, so make sure you read Crew before starting on this one. I had no idea where this story would go and it took so many unexpected turns. Which is a major plus in books if you ask me. Bren is changing and thinking more and more about life and what will happen after graduation. I love the character development in this installment. The romance was more apparent in this one than Crew and I really liked how the relationship between Bren and Cross evolves and how they are there for each other during difficult times and situations. It’s one of those books you cannot stop reading… the last book in these series just came out not long ago and I am so excited to see where Bren and Cross end up.

Crew Princess (Crew #2) was another great read by Tijan. Being a part of a crew is like walking a tight rope between the crew world and the normal road. Bren has already lost her family and now has the wolf crew. She can’t lose Cross, Zellman, and Jordan. I really enjoyed reading Bren’s story and can’t wait to read more by Tijan.
This is another easy five star read for me. I’m starting to see Tijan easily becoming one of my favorite authors.
I was excited to dive back into this world and don’t foresee myself leaving it anytime soon. Bren Monroe is the only female in the four member Wolf Crew along with her bestfriend turned lover, Cross as well as Jordan and Zellman.. I love this young adult world Tijan has created. Since the only other book I’ve read by her is the first in this series, Crew, I’m really enjoying learning about this intricate world she has created.
Crew began this series, giving us a glimpse into exactly what being in a crew means. It’s not a gang or high school click. It’s a soul deep connection of friends who look out for not only each other but for their school. I really wish every high school had crews which would get rid of bullies, drugs and anyone who would want to do harm.
In Crew Princess, Bren finds what she holds most dear threatened and she does what she was born and bred to due. She is one badass girl and definitely one of my absolute favorite female MCs.
There was also a deeper level of suspense which the author carefully unfolded as well as gave answers in the perfect way, a little at a time, making it very difficult to put this book down.
I loved it all, especially the increase in heat level between Bren and Cross. It was so easy to feel their intensity, connection and passion in every interaction. I can’t wait to get more of them as well as all the other characters in Always Crew, the next and final book in the Crew Trilogy.
““I love you. YOU. No one else would fulfill me. No one else would make me feel excited for the day, grateful for the day. No one else makes me feel like I’m half a person. My other half is in my arms. No matter what happens in the future— where we go, where we don’t go—this stays.”
The epic story of badass heroine, Bren Monroe, and her best friend turned lover, Cross Shaw, continues with Crew Princess! Tijan delivers the second book in the Crew Series with unquestionable skill by luring readers deeper into the unpredictable and unique story arc that is one of my very favorites by the exceptionally talented USA Today Bestselling Author.
This review has been updated as I’ve now read through Crew Princess a second time since its original release in August of 2019. However, my review rating of five-stars stands the same—although if I’m being completely transparent, I believe Tijan deserves more than five stars for the Crew series books so far. Additionally, you can be assured that I offer no spoilers so read on without fear of having the story ruined for you…
Just as when I read Crew Princess the first time, I was sucked in from the very minute I picked it up and continued to read it through to the very end. That made me exhausted for the entirety of the next day, but even the second time I read this book, I was so consumed with the story that I wouldn’t have been capable of putting it down if I tried. As a rule, the majority of my reading takes place at night as I work full time, run a blog, and have three small children. And I know going into all books written by Tijan—who consistency retains her standing as my favorite author—that when I pick one up and start reading, I’m not going to bed anytime soon. But the inherent exhaustion that comes hand in hand with a book by this author is what tells me the story is truly consuming and anything less than simply devouring the book a far more appalling prospect than exhaustion.
Some of the aspects of the Crew series books that I love include the superb character development, the epic entertainment of the storyline, and the unpredictably and uniqueness I find with each book Tijan delivers. To maintain a spoiler-free review, I will not touch on the storyline there therefore keep this review shorter than most that I write. What I will touch on is how much I’m enjoying the heroine and hero of this series. Bren and Cross are skillfully developed and in just two books, we’ve seen character strength and depth that isn’t often exhibited. Their romance is sexxxy and though the first book was more of a slow burn, Crew Princess definitely upped the ante and I can not WAIT for the final book in the series. Bren and Cross are best friends and their romance demonstrates this. But the chemistry that’s grown between them as the story has progressed is exquisite. The story is angsty, but not as a result of the pairs relationship–that’s irrefutably solid and sure. However, this is a coming of age, contemporary romance and emotions are always high in such books. Another aspect of the story that I love is the secondary characters—I’ve developed a strong desire to see them get their own stories and can’t wait to meet back up with Bren, Cross, Jordan and Zellmen in Always Crew.
In the meantime, if you’re new to Tijan’s book, you’ll need to start this series with Crew as books are a trilogy and built off one another. However, I can assure you that I’ve never been disappointed in a story by this author and can guarantee that you’ve found your next five-star read!
Quotes:
You’re just removing some of the baggage, and the real you is coming out. You’re brighter, shinier, and you’re starting to glow, but you’re still Bren.” His eyes darkened. “I really need you right now.”
“I’m never going to leave you. Know that.”
I was officially being asked to choose crew over a relationship, and just like that, Cross’ words came back to haunt me, something he said last semester. “Your first loyalty is to the crew, but mine is to you.”
“I love you. YOU. No one else would fulfill me. No one else would make me feel excited for the day, grateful for the day. No one else makes me feel like I’m half a person. My other half is in my arms. No matter what happens in the future— where we go, where we don’t go—this stays.”
—In updating the review I posted to Goodreads and Amazon, I found that I’d missed reviewing the book here on BookBub.
This book was everything I hoped for. Reading more about Bren and her crew filled something in my heart. Knowing she has these guys especially Cross at her back makes everything feel right. They go through obstacle after obstacle and always come together. They have a few more in their group but not the crew and it makes for a better story. Watching Bren grow and put her baggage behind her is an inspiration. Such a good story. Must read!
Oh. My. God. I feel like I’ve been waiting for forever to read this book. I was so absorbed in book one that as soon as I finish I had a need for book two and after waiting it’s FINALLY here, I got the fix I very much needed. Wow.
Crew Princess picks up from the first book in the series (Crew) it was everything I hoped for but also more than I could have ever imagined.
These characters really brought all the feels into this book.
Bren is in doubt about her future throughout this book. All she knows and wants to think about is her crew but worry creeps into her mind a lot. She’s still as badass and awesome as she was in crew and I still love her.
Cross, oh man. This guy goes through a lot in this book. Some unexpected twists turn his life upside down and we see him trying to deal and cope with the events but it’s hard. He’s hotheaded and angry a lot and it was interesting to see what goes down with him.
The whole plot was incredible, I sure as hell didn’t expect the turns it takes and the twists thrown upon us and that ending, WTF??? Just gah, I can’t wait for book three.
Also big shout out to the main crew, The Wolf Crew. Bren, Cross, Zellerman and Jordan. This book wouldn’t be the same without the whole crew.
Tijan is the kind of author that makes you become addicted to her books, as soon as you’ve picked up the first book, you just won’t be able to get enough. I’ve been reading her books for a while now and each and every one seem to get better and better and Crew Princess is no exception. This book blew my damn mind, it had me feeling all the feels and tugging at the heart strings. I admire this author and her writing so much.
Crew Princess was shocking and emotional filled with friendships that’ll never break and loves that’ll make your heart ache. What a rollercoaster ride this was. 2020 can’t come quick enough.
”I need to see you, Bren. Not the you in my arms right now, not the you you show everyone else. I need the real you, the one I know you hide. I need you.”
Crew princess is book 2 in the Crew series and needs to be read in order to understand what is going on.
My love for the Wolf Crew has just expanded even more, if that’s even possible.
I will be honest and say I struggled with the first half of the book, it dragged a little for me which isn’t something I normally have with Tijan books.
A lot of things started to make sense though as I started reading the second half of the book and then I just couldn’t put it down.
My man Cross was just as alpha in this book as he was the last and I love him. Bren was just as kick ass as she was in the Crew, although she’s trying to calm down a lot and tame the beast inside of her.
As expected there is lots of action and twists and turns that will keep you on the edge of your seat with Crew Princess. The character growth was amazing.
If you are a fan of the wolf crew or Tijan then you should definitely read Crew Princess and watch the characters stumble and grow together.

Review
Tijan has done it again! This book follows Bren and the rest of her crew through their senior year of high school! I really enjoyed how we got to see Bren and Cross’ relationship grow and Bren and Channing’s relationship develop more. Throughout this book Bren opens up about different aspects of her life and we get to see a whole other side of her that we didn’t see in the first book.
A war is started between Fallen Crest and Rousssou students. As the book goes on the different sides attack and when it comes to a climax all h**l breaks loose. (You are definitely not going to want to miss what happens!) Not only does the Wolf Crew need to worry about the war between the towns but also the drama going on with Cross and his family.
The real shocker for me was Becky Sallaway and the role that she played in the book. We also get some action with our favorite Fallen Crest characters (Sam, Mason, and Logan)!
The ending of the book really throws Bren a curve ball and I can not wait to see what happens in the third book!!
She’s done it again
What I love the most about Tijans writing is her ability to create characters that are relatable , yet intense . Allowing the reader to be immersed in the world she has created and feel like they are so real you could know them and feel like they are even your friends .
I loved crew princess ! Bren is tough and bad ass and totally crew royalty but she is deep and the growth of her character in this book is evident and again, relatable !
AND as always I’m left wanting more !!!
I loved how this book brought in ties to fallen crest ! Loved it ! I loved that we got glimpses of my favorite characters and that it makes it clear it’s the next generation 🙂
I loved the angst , the drama and the normal Vs crew elements . It was a great read and I’m really looking forward to crew 3 .
If you’re looking at this one and haven’t yet read fallen crest or the boy I grew up with or crew 1 it’s definitely worth reading the WHOLE lot !! Do it ! You won’t regret it !!
Crew Princess picks up right where Crew leaves off. Bren is trying to keep out of trouble. She’s also building relationships outside of Crew and thinking about what life holds for her after school ends. More so, what will happen with her and Cross.
I really liked that we saw a bit more vulnerability with Bren, but she’s still the boss babe we all know and love. I loved Cross, he was so great throughout the story and I wished we would have gotten his POV. The relationships with everyone in Crew also strengthens with everything that is thrown at them.
This one was a little slower in the first half, but there are some good twists as the book picks up. We are left with a cliffhanger, so be prepared for that.
A very intense read. This Crew World that Tijan has created has me on my toes. Cross and Bren together is a dynamic like no other. I’m swept up in this different kind of love story. Family isn’t always just blood. And things aren’t always what they seem. This all started in the first book, Crew. And now it’s continuing but not without a nice cliffhanger at the end. Bren is a strong girl surrounded by three guys, Cross, Jordan, and Zellman, that will always have her back. But it doesn’t mean she can’t handle things herself, she’s a force all her own. Cross is …EVERYTHING. He’s drop dead gorgeous, so very dark, and also sharp and calculating. I just never wanted this book to end! I can’t wait for the next book in 2020.
4.5 Intense and Very Compelling Stars!!
Crew Princess is book #2 in the Crew series, and picks up where the first book left off. In order to really enjoy the story, I highly recommend that you read book #1.
A well-plotted, entertaining storyline with twists and turns, surprises, and a wonderful cast of characters that felt very real as they take life of their own. The chemistry, and connection between Bren and Cross is palpable, and fun to watch.
This intense, and emotional story is action-packed, engaging, and very compelling. It’ll surely keep you on the edge of your seat the whole entire time.
A Fabulous Read, except for the unexpected ending.
Why???? This is killing me….very slowly!
I really enjoyed following the Wolf Crew members journey. Can’t wait for the next installment!!
HOLY HELL!!
TIJAN HAS DONE IT ONCE AGAIN!!!
I, once again, found myself locked in my bathroom, while having company, just to devour as many words as I possibly could!! I can’t seem to get enough of the worlds Tijan creates!
Crew Princess is the second book in the crew series. If you haven’t read the first book, Crew, I highly recommend you read that one before diving into this one. You won’t be sorry!
About Crew Princess:
The Crew system in Roussou is still intact, but there’s someone out there that wants the crews to disband and disappear and their willing to use great lengths to do so, meaning more trouble for Bren, Cross, Zellman, and Jordan to get into.
But Bren has the most to risk, including her freedom, due to her parole. So with that in mind, Bren realizes it’s time for her to change her ways. This story is all about Bren breaking away from the anger and recklessness to find a little bit of peace.
My Thoughts:
I’m not going to say much more about the novel in fears of spoiling you all. Let’s just say, Crew Princess is full of unbelievable twists and many more turns!!!
Crew Princess was a great addition to the Crew series. In this novel we get a deeper and more emotional vibe from Bren and her crew. There’s also a sense of impending doom that had me questioning every single step the crew took. I feared for them, not only as solos but as a group. I feared most for their friendship.
Bren shows a softer side in Crew Princess, but I guess being on parole and having to look over your shoulder every five seconds will do that to a person. I really enjoyed this more controlled side to Bren, with this came a more vulnerable Bren…and if you read Crew, you probably already Bren views vulnerability as her greatest weakness. It was interesting to see her approach this new rising emotion.
Cross is just as sexy as he was in Crew, if not sexier. His alpha side definitely stands more pronounced within the pages of this novel. He’s now stepping up and acting as the leader.
Overall, Crew Princess was just as kick ass as I expected it to be!!! I can’t wait for 2020 to get here! I have so many questions I need answers too, especially given that freakin’ cliffhanger!!! Seriously!!! I can’t wait!!!!
