I can only read this in spurts, then I go to a Western to clear my head. Now I want to see what kind of person the writer is.
scary reality of how certain upbringing and neglect defines a persons later life.
I read the book description on Amazon and bought it immediately. This is an amazing book that I could not put down. When I finished? I just say there like damn! You will find yourself in the boat. The characters, the action, the sex scenes – nothing like what you’ve read before!! The haunting storyline of a captured girl finding the monster she really wants…. This is an amazing book. Deserves way more praise and stars then I can give or describe.
Loved it
Dark, twisted and tantalizing story that will grip you from the beginning and leave you a bit breathless. My friend found Lana Sky and ask me to read it saying it was her favorite book, I was a little hesitant at first. I’m not a mafia lover per se at least I wasn’t until I read “Crescendo” and holy crap it was dark but beautiful in a twist way. I’m so glad I decided to give it a try. Once I started it I couldn’t put it down and am looking forward to reading the next book in the series and have read everything else by her since.
Crescendo is a dark twisted tale of how the life in the criminal underbelly really is on a daily basis. The way the author weaved the tale of kidnappings to reality of drugs and alcohol had me keep turning the pages. I have to admit though that after I finished the book, it took me a bit to know what to write in the review. I didn’t know what I wanted to happen to the characters or who to root for but oh so happy with the way the book is written so lets just say…..I loved the twistedness (yes I am making up a new word because just twisted doesn’t work) of the story and look forward to seeing where it goes from here.
Definitely be looking out for more by this author because she keeps the reality of how the world is instead of sugar coating it.
Loved it, Lana Sky’s writing has so much depth. Great characters. Loved the unpredictable and darkness in the story – yet there is hope.
Boring, very slow
Lana’s writing is triggering in its darkness. Characters are unapologetically brutal, dirty, broken. And no romance is coming out from this world of crime. No. Dani and Dante are toxic. Feeding from each other in a language only translatable as raw and animalistic. Hot like fire these two share their own POV. Driving us though inner struggles and sacrifices.
* This is book one from the Beautiful Monsters Series.
* I wouldn’t suggest this book for readers sensitive to explicit sex, violence, rape and abuse.
Very dark and gritty; I loved it.
I loved it and hope to read more the author. It was just extremely good !
