Ashley Adams is supposed to be on vacation in Paris with her boyfriend, Serge. Serge did say that he had some work to do for a security company and asked Ashley to help. The idea was to test their security and report any possible flaws.
Taking a break from her programming duties, Ashley joins a cooking school. The course is mainly taught by Patty LaFontaine, the sous chef at L’Oiseau Bleu Cafe. Ashley and Patty become close friends and things seem to be going smoothly until the police show up at Ashley’s door and accuse her of illegal hacking and stealing millions of Euros. Ashley realizes that Serge has been lying to her all along and has only been using her.
To distance herself from the hacking charges, Ashley devotes herself to cooking and baking at the restaurant. When a crepe cart show up in the neighborhood and starts stealing customers, Ashley endeavors to make better crepes to bring back the customers.
When M. Babin, the owner of the crepe cart, is murdered, Patty becomes the primary suspect. In an effort to help her friend, Ashley decides to do some investigating on her own.
Who killed the cart owner? Can Ashley prove that Patty is innocent of any crime? Will the police be able to bring Serge to justice?
This book is actually two mysteries put together. The story will definitely hold your attention and keep you guessing from beginning to end.
This is an awesome book. Ashley Adams thinks she is working for an internet security firm. She hacks into businesses to see how their security. Unknown to her, the employer is stealing from these companies. She gets arrested and is soon released. Will her former employer come back to seek revenge on her since he is wanted by the police. Ashley begins to work for a restaurant. There is a murder of a crepe food truck owner. The suspense builds. This book was hard to put down. I wanted to keep reading to find out what happened next.
