New York Times bestselling author Meghan March goes back to New Orleans and the world of Lachlan Mount with a dangerous and bold new anti-hero. The thing about ghosts is they’re supposed to stay dead. That’s exactly what I am, but I can’t stay away from Magnolia Marie Maison for one more day, let alone another year. We’ve already got fifteen of those between us.As it stands, she’ll want to kill me … us.
As it stands, she’ll want to kill me as soon as she lays eyes on me. And knowing her, she’s completely up to the task.
But I’m a man on a mission, and I’ve got everything riding on this.
So, here I come, Magnolia. This ghost is ready for whatever you got.
After all, there’s only one way I want this to end—’til death do us part.
Creole Kingpin is the first book in the Magnolia Duet. Magnolia’s story concludes in Madam Temptress.

Meghan March strikes again! Now I admit that I haven’t had the joy for meeting Lachlan Mount before but if you’re like me, you don’t have to before reading Creole Kingpin (he’s in there and while he plays his part, the story does not center around him).
Magnolia a force and a half to be reckoned with. Brave. Street smart. Bold. Unapologetic. Tender hearted. I loved her no-nonsense approach to life. How she relentlessly pursued her dreams. How hard she fought for the life she wanted. How she never got over Moses.
Woweeee Moses Gaspard…I’m not gonna lie, when I met him in the Legend Trilogy, I was not a fan at all. But man did he redeem himself here. I admired his relentless pursuit of Magnolia. His protective instincts. How he didn’t hold back with his intentions. How he put his heart on the line.
I loved the push and pull between Moses and Magnolia. How hard she tried to resist but just couldn’t. The years of longing and regret were palpable. And just when they were getting on the same page…Meghan March dropped the bomb. Gah!! I have no idea where things are going for them next but I NEED to know!
I have been waiting on Magnolia’s story. I was wondering who was going to be her H and yes it’s Moses who I thought would be the man to be with Magnolia after reading the Legend trilogy. I couldn’t wait to read their story and I had feeling Moses was going to be the anti hero for Magnolia. Let me tell you it’s a very hot book. I’m so ready for book two because I know it’s going to be spectacular.
Meghan March delivers another wild ride, making us flip pages and go through hell before we HEA! Moses and Magnolia epitomize the best of what Meghan does!

BACK IN NEW ORLEANS!
Anti-Heroes Collection (Trilogy) is my favorite series by Meghan March.
So when I saw that her new series was Magnolia and Moses..I had to read it.
Magnolia is independent, confident, sassy and snarky…the perfect heroine.
Moses..the hero you love to hate and hate to love.
Everything between these pages is superbness.
This is not a stand-alone..major cliffhanger but so worth the torture.

„I want someone to stand by me while we weather the storms. Because my life seems to be filled with fucking storms.”
I was hoping, dreaming and praying for Magnolia’s book since the Ruthless King, because she was so fascinating. And now when my dream came true I want to track Meghan March down and hug the *ekhm* out of her, because Creole Kingpin is flipping amazing! This second chance story exceeded all of my expectations and I’m fangirling so hard right now. Magnolia Maison is Meghan’s best heroine to date and the man March paired her with is so dreamy! This book is simply phenomenal.
Magnolia is a woman who didn’t have an easy life, but her determination and persistence allowed her to reach the goals she set for herself. She’s confident, strong, independent and smart. But although she’s fierce and resolute, we can clearly see the glimpses of vulnerability that show the cracks in her well-put tough exterior. This man-eater of a woman has a big heart and I loved to see her more gentle side.
Moses was a mystery for me, but every layer he dropped made me love him more and more. He’s protective and caring, sentimental and intent to win his woman back. He’s everything we could expect from March’s alpha-hero and so much more. There’s still a mystery that revolves around him and I can’t wait to know all his secrets. And every time the word ‘mama’ came out of his mouth I was swooning so hard!
It was surprising to see Magnolia all flustered and unsettled. Especially that the man was a reason of her concern. But when we get to know Magnolia and Moby’s past it all makes sense. These two have an unique connection, something even the time couldn’t suppress. Just like the flame between them, that’s burning more than ever. This couple is so ridiculously hot that I was fanning myself when they got between the sheets!
Creole Kingpin is a mystery, sexappeal and danger wrapped in one, beautifully written and captivating story. This book is totally addicting and I’m waiting impatiently for Madame Temptress! I need more of Magnolia and Moses!
Well that ending left me with my mouth hanging open!!
I kept swiping at those non-existent pages left at the end of book one!! I may have screamed at my kindle….Noooo Please don’t end!!! I.NEED.MORE!!! Lol
As soon as I start falling for March’s alpha men..she gets all twisty turny and makes me throw a big ole temper tantrum!! Lol Of course I have to say, That’s why I one click her books for sure!!
Yass Y’all..Meghan March goes back to New Orleans and brings us a brand new anti-hero and I tell ya what..I’m in love already!!
Creole Kingpin by Meghan March is one fucking hawt.. sexy read for sure!!
Creole Kingpin is the first book in the Magnolia Duet and the story will conclude in Madam Temptress. Soo yeahh..this will be… This IS my most anticipated book to be released in April 2020!!! I will be refreshing my kindle like a crazy woman in April for sure!! lol
5 fan-damn-tastic Stars and deserves many many more Stars for sure!!!
I AM SPEECHLESS absolutely STUNNED!!! Meghan has once again made unbelievable magic with her words woven together into this captivating, mesmerizing story!
“Do I look like a damsel in distress to you? No one has ever mistaken me for Snow fucking White.”
This is a love story like no other…..take a fiery, badass, confident heroine (Meghan’s best yet), a sexy as fuck, silver tongued swoon-worthy anti-hero and what do you get, your next ADDICTION! Magnolia and Moses are sexy as hell, explosive and don’t just tell us their story, we feel it and see it like vivid images playing out on a screen. This book will DEMAND your attention, CONTROL your emotions and HOLD you hostage until the very end where you’ll be screaming and gasping for more! This is without a doubt one of my TOP READS for 2020 and one that you NEED to read!
“Because life doesn’t always work out the way you hope, when you hope. But if you’re lucky, sometimes you get a second fucking shot at the one thing you want more than anything else. This is me taking my shot, mama. And I don’t fucking miss.”
I swear I say this for every Meghan March book but DANG! How the heck did she do it?!?!?! If you have read the Mount Trilogy you will have read a good bit about Magnolia, the heroine of this book. In my opinion, she was not my favorite character and I had some resentment.
My opinion is now officially changed!!! She is a Bad A** heroine who takes no prisoners yet has a heart of gold! She is amazing!
Moses, whom we met in the Legend Trilogy, well he was portrayed as someone who is completely unredeminalle but boy did Meghan change that! He is so swoon-worthy and the cliff-hanger here leaves me dying for more!!!!!!!!

Meghan March
Creole Kingpin is a bone chilling, soul wrenching love story of suspense that will have you cracking a smile when you least expect it and wishing you already had the second installment in your hands.
Meghan March transcended the line from purely romance novel to true suspense in her own unique style without either of the two genres getting lost, which in my opinion as reader is not easy to accomplish. She’s yet again sucked us into her universe seamlessly from the start. As soon as you open this book you’re transported to her New Orleans, not the one in this world, but the one she’s so masterfully created for us to escape to.
Magnolia Maison was originally introduced to us in Meghan’s beloved, highly renowned Mount series and as soon as I met her in Ruthless King I loved her. You have this force of an antiheroine that is not to be messed with but has a heart of gold she keeps locked away to simply survive. I was THRILLED to see a woman on the dark side bustin’ egos and takin names. We get to see so much of that in this book! When faced with challenge she handles her business and was ready to go, she is no damsel in distress.
That didn’t mean she doesn’t have a vulnerable side we get to see, enter Moses. The one who showed up 15 years ago in her time of need and then suddenly appears to save it yet again when she needs him most. But a White Knight he is not, nor does she want, a personality like hers needs one equally as dominant if not more. Moses has proven himself as a character to us previously so I was ready to accept him with open arms. Mags not so much…. but Moses knows what he wants and he’s there to prove it, and prove it he does. No doubt about it the fire in him transfers and builds the fire in Mags til it explodes. You will be lit up by their love and loyalty, unable to put this book down yet never wanting it to end.
He’s been gone fifteen years and a million dark secrets stand between them, but Moses Gaspard is determined to win Magnolia Marie Maison back at any cost.

NARRATORS: ERIN MALLON/JOE ARDEN
Our return to NOLA with Magnolia Marie Madison is nothing short of gritty and twisty perfection! Readers and fans have waited for Magnolia’s story and it was worth the wait! Meghan delivers the most badass heroine to date in Mags! She’s fiery, smart, brave and takes no shit. Moses is every bit the alpha and the only one who can stand by her side as her equal. However, he’s been away for 15 years and has to win his woman all over again. Why was he gone for so long? Can he win her back? Will they survive this battle of hearts? Joe Arden and Erin Mallon deliver the perfect bayou accent and are stellar in this performance! 5 out of 5 stars and I can’t wait for the conclusion in Madam Temptress!
Be ready to fall in love with an anti-hero and his heroine. Best to read it with Madam Temptress to avoid the huge cliffhanger.
I had a hard time getting into this book because I didn’t like one of the characters that played kind of a nasty role in another one of Meghan March’s series but eventually I got over it and this series was just as good as her other ones.
I LOVED the start to Magnolia and Moses’s duet. Fast paced, intrigue and a 15 year grudge. The perfect Meghan March recipe. This ending was probably the most tame as I’ve read but I’m still glad the next book was available. I’m jumping right in.
:
It has been a while since I’ve read Meghan March’s books, but damn it feel like It was just yesterday.
I have been let’s say fascinated by Magnolia since I’ve read Mount Trilogy Series and boy do I love that woman.
Magnolia Mason is one of the fiercest heroines I’ve ever read. She experienced a lot in her life to be as strong as she is, she is her own boss. When she is finally ready to leave her old life, a ghost from her past comes and disturbs her peace.
Moses Gaspard comes back to New Orleans after 15 years of being a ghost, but this time he is here to stay and he has a plan in motion; put a ring on Magnolia’s finger.
This was yet another great book that I truly enjoyed. It was really nice to be back in Mount’s world and to see him as a father. So cute .
As for Magnolia and Moses, I love them soo much. Magnolia is a wonderful woman who has a big heart and moses is man on a mission and he will stop at nothing to have the woman of his dreams.

Heartbreak. Second chances. Redemption.
Loved it. It’s by far my favourite Meghan March book so far. Usually her 3 book trilogies drag at the beginning however this duet has no space for that and cuts to the chase.
“I dont want to own you, mama. I want you to own me.”
After reading the Legend series I was skeptical about Moses. I was interested to find out more about him and uncertain if I would like his character at the same time. He was a contrast of a thug and a gentleman. Not your typical antihero. He is manly, in control and so damn protective. What I loved most about him was his openness to love. He is older and wiser.
“No man owns me. No man controls me. I do what the hell I want, when I want. Things work the way I want them to work.”
Magnolia is a badass woman, not unlike all of Meghan’s heroines, but shes on another level. Shes strong, independent and is her own saviour. She is definetly a complex character. She is streetwise and by far delicate, but she showed us how fragile she was living the kind of lifestyle she lived for so long. Her insecurities only made her stronger in my eyes. She was the star in this book.
“You’ve been waiting for me, mama? Because not a fucking day has gone by that I havnt thought about you.”
I loved how Meghan March introduced the characters in present day. The build up and how they met again was delicious. Their relationship now is a bit rocky, still trying to adjust to the people they are now. Their chemistry was so natural, they are perfectly balanced and meant for eachother. I love their romance, it was believable and I was rooting for them to get together. Their past slowly unfolded to how they met 15 years ago. It was beautiful to read the collision of two criminals, with a short timely romance, reconnecting years later. Having said that hes still got alot of redeeming to do in my eyes.
We revisited our past favourites from her previous book series. I loved Mounts entrance to the book, and loved reading about his bigger than bold character. Seeing him and Kiera in the present time with Aurora is a treat for her fans. Gabriel Legend was also mentioned.
This was a beautiful start to the Magnolia duet. This book gets a strong 5 stars rating. Creole Kingpin was exactly what I imagined it to be and more. Looking forward to what Madam Temptress will bring.
