What a fun mix of mystery and Halloween! Ruby and Bee are still in their temporary town of Carmel Springs, Maine, where the residents go all-out for several days of Halloween festivities. In between the festival, the parties, and the decorating contest, Ruby also investigates the murder of a local woman who was both loved and despised, depending on who you asked. There are a few strong suspects, and Ruby finds herself in a tight spot after being a bit too nosy for her own good. This was an entertaining story and I didn’t see the end coming! Looking forward to the next book to see if they stay in Carmel Springs or decide to move to the next town!
I received an advance copy of this book. This review contains my honest thoughts and opinions.

It’s Halloween in Carmel Springs and Ruby is excited to serve her cakes to all the trick or treaters. But when a clown and a vampire get in a tussle trying to get to her cakes, she just lets it go. Then the body of the vampire found. Can Ruby figure out who the clown is? Is the clown even guilty? Why was the vampire killed? I enjoy reading the stories of Ruby and Bee and their adventures. Who knew a food truck would be so exciting and dangerous?! I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book from Booksprout.
This is an excellent cozy mystery. To many of us there is nothing more frightening than a killer clown. Ruby is the protagonist who will solve this murder it will she. Love this mystery.

Ruby and Bee are enjoying the upswing in their mobile baking business in Carmel Springs. A disagreement between costumed customers signals another mystery in the making. However, there are surprises headed their way. Rosie A. Point has become one of my favorite cozy writers. I enjoyed the warm characters and twists in the storyline. I recommend the entire series.

Carmel Springs seems to be a bit of a trouble filled temporary home for Ruby and Bee.
The locals have a very dedicated approach to Halloween and related festivities.
Though some tensions run deep in this locale- and not all appear to be solved by tickle feather duels.
Sam seems a kind if quirky land lady.
A host of supporting characters all seem to have hidden grudges and motivations
Definitely more trick than treat to many of these KU adventures!
