McKAYI wasn’t the one who broke her but I played my part. She came to us when she was ten. I raised her. I loved her. I taught her how to survive in a world of evil men. But it wasn’t enough.ADAMI wasn’t the one who saved her but I did my best. She needed me as much as I needed her. Bought and paid for on the auction block. But not for the reasons you think. She was my weapon.DONOVANI wasn’t the … not for the reasons you think. She was my weapon.
DONOVAN
I wasn’t the one who lied to her but I hid her truth. She was broken before I got there. Wild and angry. Defiant and bratty. But she trusted me most. She loved me best.
So I set her free.
Indie Anna Accorsi is a woman lost in her past.
A pretty little nightmare.
A gorgeous piece of misery.
A mess of lovely darkness.
She is creeping beautiful.
And now we want her back.

Siobhan Davis knocked it of the park with the conclusion the the Rydeville High Trilogy! Abby has been through horrors unlike any other and all at the hands of her sick, greedy father.
With Kai and her friends do everything in their power to bring down Abby’s father it becomes a tornado of action, suspense and sex. A barely took a breath from the beginning to the end.
Siobhan Davis writes extremely detailed, all the feels characters and stories. This trilogy should be on everyone’s must read list!
A mind bending psychological romantic suspense, full of drama, emotion and twists so turny you might get dizzy trying to work it all out!
If you are new to JA Huss, please get reading because this is one hell of a ride on a journey that has been cleverly interwoven with several series and many beloved (and not so beloved) characters. Intertwined and connected with The Company, a deadly, secret organisation, this is a good place to start or an intriguing addition to this amazing world.
Fanflippingtastic, I loved it….my head is in a mess of the very best kind!
Indie Anna Accorsi has been missing for four years, since the fateful night of her 20th birthday. She returns to McKay with no memories of that night and a sketchy description of where she has been. He calls Adam and Donovan to return home, she needs them all.
I mentioned romance above, it is, but not in the traditional sense, even with the knowledge it features four men and one woman…….mwahaha! Dont let that put you off 😉 This book has a timeline of 14 years, the details of which we learn from four of the characters pov, starting when Indie was aged ten. I loved that each character told a specific seperate part of the timeline, which made a complicated story very clear. The fifth person Nathan, the boy next door, although we don’t hear from him is integral to the story.
I don’t want to give anything away, so if you enjoy a well written, dark, twisted mind f#$k of a story with depth and detail, then this is for you. There is suspense, mystery and so many secrets. The more secrets JA Huss reveals, the more intricately her web of intrigue is weaved!
I was hooked from the first page and I cant wait for what happens next! 5 huge stars
Creeping Beautiful is a true masterpiece – one of the best books I’ve ever read. Haunting, mysterious, suspenseful, intriguing, Beautiful. I was holding my breath the entire book! Julie A Huss is a master storyteller and Creeping Beautiful lingers long after you finish the last page. From the very first page you’ll be captivated by Indie, Adam, McKay, and Donovan. And of course, the boy next door, Nathan St. James. Julie expertly switches between the past and present and individually between characters and weaves a cohesively brilliant plot. I wasn’t reading this book so much as living it. I couldn’t put this book down, a true stay up all night read with a mind blowing twist!
I was given an ARC for this book in return for an honest review. All opinions are completely my own.
I had to really think about how I was going to write this review in order to to do it the justice it deserves and convey exactly how much this book has blown my mind, so here goes… OMG… What the hell have I just read??? Only one of the best suspense filled romance stories ever written!!! JA Huss is certainly a genius when it comes to her story telling. Her books are masterfully woven with loads of intrigue and complexity. They are also brilliantly put together with no deflecting fluff to distract you from the main storyline.
Creeping Beautiful is Book One of her brand new series and is a spinoff from the Rook & Ronin and The Company series. If you’ve never read any of her books before, don’t worry about it because the background story and main plot is contained within the book.
The story centres around five main characters, Adam, McKay, Donovan, Nathan and Indie. They are all “Company” born kids who are brought together through very unusual circumstances, around the time Indie is 10 years old. The storyline is told through four POVs and each character flits between the past and present conveying to us how they survived before, during and after the fall of “The Company”. Each male character plays a very important role in Indie’s life and upbringing. She loves them all for very different reasons, but it is Nathan, the boy next door, who steals her heart and is her first for everything.
This book is a slow burner. There are many details to take in, with lots of twists and turns to navigate through, but in the end it will leave you completely and utterly mindf**ked and begging for more. I can’t wait for Book Two!!
Wow. I’m not sure what else I could say. I feel like I have been looking forward to getting back into this world that it’s now so unreal! I love it. It’s amazing how JA Huss makes you fall in love with all 4 characters.. I don’t think I have a bias towards one or the other- I feel exactly what Indie felt for these guys… A different reason for each guy. And although I still feel extremely lost … Like there is still so much to be answered.. I Trust JA Huss to pull through in the following books and tie everything up with a creeping beautiful bow.
A new Company series book from Julie, utterly spellbinding in its intrigue and suspense, the dark twists and turns will utterly blow your mind as Julie lets loose her utterly unique writing style that will leave you with whiplash as what you think you know becomes a WTF!! Compelling, dark and insidious, this will have you on the edge of your seat from start to finish as you read and start to uncover the lies, the deceit and the secret plans each of the characters has in place. But nothing is as it seems when the Company are involved!!
Adam purchases a 10 yr old girl called Indie from the Company for his own personal use, to be his weapon, his assassin. McKay has been with Adam for a while, purchased by Adam’s father to be with Adam, he is like his brother in many ways, but that was not his intended purpose. Donovan was there the night Adam purchased Indie, in fact he helped him choose her in exchange for helping train her, as he is a genius in the psychology field. So they train and teach Indie, each having their own set role in her life, she needs all 3 to be able to function, as she is a killer no doubt.
Whilst growing up Indie befriends the ‘boy next door’, Nathan, who becomes her best friend. This was not part of the plan Adam has for her, she is not a normal girl and cannot experience normal things, but they do their best to manage what will be as teenagers grow up!
One incident, one night, blows their whole world apart and for 4 years they seperate, until they get back together……
The story is told in all 4 POV’s and jumps back in time to give us background to what has happened with families and the Company and all the puzzle pieces start falling into place, in preparation for that one night. Brilliantly written, this will have your mind tripping over itself in an attempt to keep up with what’s happening, its fiendishly clever and utterly spellbinding, you will not want to put it down!!
This is easily told as a standalone, but if you have read some of the other Company books Julie has written and enjoyed them as much as I have you will feel like its coming home reading this, its all very familiar and yet so very different as well. I loved it!! I can’t wait for the other books in this new series.
BIGGEST BOOK HANGOVER EVER!
Creeping Beautiful woke me up during the night so I could finish it and this has never happened to me before! That’s how deep in my brain this book was!
Everything about this story is perfect. The plot is unique, compelling and twisted… a perfect J.A. Huss masterpiece!
What can you expect from it? Well a good dose of action, danger and emotional rollercoaster!
This is an intelligent story… you know, those that makes you think and soon you will see that nothing is what it seems. When you think the story goes right, it turns left leaving you speechless!
I feel like I would love to say something about the story in itself, but I can’t! I can’t because everything I might say will give the plot away and I can’t spoil this book for the ones who haven’t read it yet, but I can say that every character in this book is unique. Their lives are so messed up and everything they do to survive is a victory!
Please pick up this book as soon as it is available and immerse yourself in a perfect read!
OMG!
What did I just read?
Was it a thriller?
A romance?
Or something altogether new and difference?
All of the above.
All I know is that when JA Huss announced she was diving back into the world of “The Company”, I was all in. And when she revealing the tile, “ Creeping Beautiful”, my imagination started working overtime, but it didn’t even come close.
This is the story of another girl assassin ala Sasha and the men who protect and control her. It’s lush and disturbing and one of JA Huss’ twistiest stories yet. The shifting POVs and timelines are seamlessly executed, keeping the reader off balanced but never confused. Like Meet Me in the Dark, this story has triggered a lot of mixed emotions, leaving me unsettled and haunted.
The only thing I’m sure of is I WANT MORE.
4.5 slithery stars
Creeping Beautiful was brilliant! 5 stars
I was intrigued at the beginning of this book, because I had no idea how this story would unfold. The unfolding of a mystery is what kept me on the edge of my seat and reading pages. JA Huss is so good at creating and building this intense, creeping feeling that something is going to happen in the story that will blow my mind. I was also captivated at what kind of relationship was between Indie, McKay, Donovan and Adam. Then some twists happened that I was not expecting, so I was still riveted to the page to see what would happen next. My feelings for these characters creeped up on me, and I didn’t realize how much I cared about them until things started to go down! When the puzzle pieces started to click together at the end, my jaw dropped, I gasped out loud and my mind was blown! JA Huss is the queen of doing that, and I bow down to her for this book brilliance! I cannot wait to read the next book!
*I received an advanced copy of this ebook from the author for my honest review.*
Creeping Beautiful is an intense twisted dark mind blowing story. Could not wait to see where the story would go. The characters are all so interesting and complicated. They all have there own secrets. They also all have there own idea of how things should go. I was sucked in from the first page. I didn’t want the book to end. Can’t wait to read more.
The Queen of twists and turns has done it again! This book was absolutely everything I have come to love about JA Huss! The worlds she builds for her characters are so vivid you find yourself lost in her books! This book checked all my boxes! Just when you think you know where the story might be headed boom the plot twists completely around! Never have I read an author capable of writing such swoon worthy love stories that keep you on the edge of your seat! I highly recommend this book!!
I was intrigued from the beginning of this story and it only got better as I read more. It’s so much more than a reverse harem. It’s dark and the way Indie and the man grow up hardens them up. But they support each other. There are twists and suspense and some moments where all you can do is just stare.
Creeping Beautiful is the first book in a new series and it’s also the first book I have read by JA Huss. If you happened to read her Rook & Ronin & Company series, this is the spin-off. You can 100% read Creeping Beautiful without reading the previous series. I never felt lost and didn’t even know it was a spin-off until the end of the book.
Ok, review…I can’t really say much. The synopsis says all I can really say about the book but I can say that it’s intriguing, twisted, addicting, and even fun at times. Each character brings their own specialties to the story and to this little family. The men all want the same thing. To protect Indie. To protect what’s theirs. And she needs them all.
I have never read a JA book but I have seen them all over social media for years. I finally did it. I signed up. Something about it caught my eye. I do crave a good twisted book so maybe that was it. The cover is awesome too even if I am not a fan of snakes. I just knew I had to have it and I am so happy that I did. It’s the beginning of a series so that’s a bonus. I do want to go back and read the series that started off The Company. One day. It could happen.
Overall…I was addicted from start to finish. I have so many notes but I can’t use them! So much happened within the pages of their story. I can’t wait for the next book.
Quotes:
Indie Anna Accorsi is fragile like footsteps on thin ice. She is soft like the skin of a poisonous snake. And she is quiet like a panther watching you from a tree. You do not take your eyes off her.
“This is my present. This is all I want today. Just to be with you.”
“I made a deal with the snakes.” She sobs out the words. “But I never made a deal with the flowers, Adam. I forgot all about the fuckin’ flowers.”
Creeping Beautiful is a twisted dark tale of epic proportion that will keep you hanging onto the edge of your seat from the first page until the last!
This story takes place in the world of The Company, an underworld organization that sets its own rules and takes the law into its own hands. It is a complex weave of characters and happenings that we experience in both the present and back into the past as Indie, Donovan, Adam and McKay navigate through the only life/nightmare they have ever known. The relationships between these four is complex and always evolving and they each have a dark side while they carry their own secrets and live in a world where nothing is as it seems.
I highly recommend this engaging story and I can’t wait to see what comes next in this series!
There is so much going on in this book I really don’t know where to start….. This book is absolutely jam packed with secrets, lies, twists and turns that will leave you dizzy as it bounces from past to present. It also has a lot of POV’s to contend with so you really need to concentrate or you will lose off. It will leave your mind completely blown away so take yourself to your happy place and lock yourself there and let yourself be transported away for the ride of your life.
5 Stars
I can always count on JA Huss for a complete mind f**k of a story. WOW! There is so much going on with this one that it took all my focus to keep up, and even then at times, I still felt lost, but so totally invested I just couldn’t put it down. I NEEDED to know what was happening. There are so many dynamics in this book and each character brought so much to the story, I just couldn’t pick a favorite. Creeping Beautiful is a keep you on the edge of your seat beautifully written story that I don’t want to say too much about because you need to experience it all for yourself. I cannot wait for the next installment to see where it goes next.
Angela – Alphas Do It Better Book Blog
I’m honestly at a loss as how to review this book. There are times when I get devoured by a story, get so lost in the pages that I have to fight my way back to reality. It doesn’t happen very often but it leaves me at a loss for a few days. I finished this book days ago but still have no words.
It’s deep and dark, dangerous, devious and delicious. There is heat and passion, manipulation, friendship, love, lust, agnst, heart, fear. There are times when I gasped, held my breath, and almost lost it. There were other times I stopped reading and took a moment.
I have never read, or should I say, experienced a story quite like this before. I’m not sure this review is even helpful. Just… let it devour you, let is seep into your cracks and by all necessary means HOLD ON! I received an ARC and I am leaving an honest review.
If you have never read a book by this author, this is a fantastic one to start with. If you are already a fan of JA Huss you will love this story. Creeping Beautiful is Huss at her best. A dark romantic mystery with depth and damaged characters that you somehow come to love.
Indie Anna Accorsi is a girl born into a world of secrets and darkness; a cog in a shadow government’s mechanization. Three men, Adam, McKay and Donovan take Indie in as part of their team, they raise her, and love her, each in different ways. Nate is the boy next door who is Indie’s best friend, and inevitably, the love of her life.
Huss weaves a tale so engaging, so complex, that seemingly every page reveals something critical to the storyline, that you won’t want to put it down. She keeps you guessing, trying to figure out what is really happening, with twists and turns you don’t see coming. Trust that Huss will take you on one helluva ride and you’ll love every second.
Creeping Beautiful is a standalone novel which takes place within a world (The Company) that Huss has created over many stories, so for readers new to this world, just know that after you fall in love with this book and are left wanting more, there are a slew of other stories to choose from.
JA Huss is absolutely an amazing author. She creates these worlds that are so easy to get lost in. The suspense brings agony until the end is revealed. And since we are just getting started on this journey, the agony is real!
I stayed up until 4 AM (And yes I over slept) to finish CREEPING BEAUTIFUL. I dreamed about it and I woke up thinking about it. AND IT SLAMMED ME!!! I think I know what is going on, but is that truly what’s going on? The twists and turns that Huss is known to write has me knotted up. I cannot quit thinking about this book!
Then there is this tree house scene. Whoa.
The EOBS is a chance to see more about the book through Julie Huss’s eyes. What she’s thinking. It just pulls everything together. This one is phenomenal. I absolutely loved it.
Although this book is a standalone, it’s part of a bigger world that I’m positive you will want to jump into if you haven’t already. This is an excellent place to start.
Creeping beautiful was such a well written, twisted tale of love, lies, deceit and chaos.
Indie had me in her grasp from the very beginning when Adam first saw her in that cage. I admired her strength and determination, even though she was a child, because was not afraid and she did not cower. And Adam saw something in her too, and he bought her.
This story had me cheering, laughing, crying, and at times I felt angry with these characters. I love when a book draws me in, has me feeling good and bad emotions.
6 beautiful stars!!
