McKAYI wasn’t the one who broke her but I played my part. She came to us when she was ten. I raised her. I loved her. I taught her how to survive in a world of evil men. DONOVAN
I wasn’t the one who lied to her but I hid her truth. She was broken before I got there. Wild and angry. Defiant and bratty. But she trusted me most. She loved me best.
So I set her free.
Indie Anna Accorsi is a woman lost in her past.
A pretty little nightmare.
A gorgeous piece of misery.
A mess of lovely darkness.
She is creeping beautiful.
And now we want her back.

Just…. WOW!
This is JA Huss at her finest. Thrilling twists and turns, as well as sexy, interesting characters. She always keeps me on the edge of my seat with this kind of story. Although it references The Company, you don’t need to read those books before this – but you might want to if you haven’t. I can’t wait to hear this in audio!
The first J.A. Huss book I read was Come from the Dirty, Dark, and Deadly series.
That was it. It hooked me, here I was a shiny new J.A. Huss fan.
Harper is one of my all-time favorite FC, and James elite level dirty talker. Come, Come Back, Coming For You are books I’ve read multiple times. I followed them up with Rook and Ronin. The world she writes in is all tangled up. Many of her stories have cameos of past characters or reference past events.
Indie Anna Accorsi’s heart is pulling her in four directions. She’s broken into a million pieces, so it’s easy for her heart to spread around willy-nilly. Each of her men serves a unique need: McKay is the nurturer/soul heal, Adam the ‘daddy’/soul guide, Donovan is the confidant/soulmate, and Nate is the BFF/soul share.
The men she yearns for are very aware of who she is. They know what built her that way. In this world, looking out for number one is essential. Indie’s protectors would do anything to free her of one more moment of the hell that bore her.
They are the world that created that fiery hell that hardened her into steel and blind-eyed knowledge of the evil men do. Men who stole her, bought her, bent her, broke her more, and set her free to burn down the world.
The dynamic of this story is well balanced in the most effed way. McKay and Adam are a bonded pair. Nate and Indie are a bonded pair. Donovan does everything he can to refuse any connections–but all this is a helpless soup of inevitable poison that will destroy them all.
How? Just read the book.
I enjoy the delicacy of the relationships between Indie and her guys. J.A. Huss is fantastic at combining sensuality and feral attraction. The rawness of the emotions Huss infuses her stories is her trademark. Indie will break your freaking heart; Adam is a firebomb; McKay makes my heartache, while Donovan is so annoyingly that guy who is one step beyond reaching. The dynamic is a flashbang that triggers all over the place, and you love to hate it every damn time.
If you enjoy Amo Jones, Gemma James, Penelope Douglas, or Penelope Bloom, you will enjoy Creeping Beautiful.

This book was a lot to take in. It was a complex story, with very complex characters and a plot that kept me guessing. The overall story with Indie, McKay, Adam and Donovan was intriguing and kept me wondering what was going on and what the whole endgame was. I loved the twists, I loved the suspense and the wondering “omg what is happening right now.”
I really liked Indie. She was very strong willed but at the same time she was broken on a way. All three guys were so different and we get their POV’s in different ways. I’m not sure I could pick a favorite but if I had to it would be McKay. He felt so ready to me and I was really able to feel his feelings for the heroine.
The plot was kinda jumbled. We get past and present, different types of things that all made up the story. It wasn’t in a bad way, but it was a lot to take in and get my bearings straight at time. I was very engrossed with everything that was going on and want to see if these characters, especially Indie got a HEA (which we don’t know yet because of the ending was a huge cliffhanger but fingers crossed). I really don’t want to give too much away but this was a really good story. It had great world building, and you could tell the author has an amazing imagination because she really took time to plot out this story. 4 stars #2OCCJD
I had no idea what to expect when diving into Creeping Beautiful. I just know you didn’t have to read any of the previous books, but I have read them & loved the Company. So I was excited to get back into this world.
It is so good, I like the way it was written, it flowed so well. It being told in the past and present. The story is told from the POV of each character: Indie, McKay, Adam and Donovan.
I don’t know how Julie does it or how her mind works, but she sure knows how to create a world and story full of suspense. This is one I’m already going to re-read so I can see anything I missed the first time through.
It’s so hard to write a review for this without giving anything away, but I love it and you should definitely read it. I could barely put it down (I sneakily read some of it on my phone during work, that’s how much I loved it). I also don’t listen to audiobooks, but this is one I will listen to when it’s available.
I’m already itching to read the next book, Pretty Nightmare!
I’ve been reading books by JA Huss for a while now, but this book really had me appreciating her talent to the nth degree! When I first read the blurb on the book, my reaction was, “Whaaaat?!” Now that I’ve read the story, it is spot on! This book is written in a 4-person point of view, both in present day and flashbacks which provide crucial details about the evolution of their relationship to each other and to Indie.
Initially I was a bit worried about the tie-ins to other series the author has written, but JA Huss masterfully provides the necessary details that makes this story flow seamlessly. Be prepared for plots, subplots, and sub-subplots that add to the mystery and intrigue behind this foursome! This author continues to blow away my expectations, and that bar is set pretty high after reading many of her previous books! I definitely plan to read the other series I’ve missed!
4.5 stars
This is one story that surpasses expectations. It is a high-octane suspense driven adventure. Some might have been amenable to tossing ten-year-old Indie away as she seemed to have no value but Adam, Donovan and Core see something entirely different that each one can use. Told from the different POV of the characters, JA Huss has masterfully crafted a work filled with twists and turns that will leave the reader with a haunted sense of what the heck happened here and a thirst for what this author has coming next. I volunteered to read an advance copy of this book.
Absolutely fantastic! This is my first story about The Company and their f’d up world and I was enthralled with it all. This author’s world building was outstanding and the characters are complex and utterly memorizing. Indie as the creepy snake girl with the broken mind was too good. The first glimpse of this child in the cage and I knew this story was going to be one that I would love. I couldn’t put it down! Then there are the three hunks that raise Indie. Adam, the owner, McKay the caregiver (and my favorite) and Donovan the brain. I was swooning are all three for different reasons. They were all fantastic and left me wondering what their real motives were in this story with loads of twists and turns and mystery. There’s so much going on with the end of the evil The Company, the on-the-loose killers, the maneuvering by the most devious and so many games at play as our three young men try to raise the killer girl. And then when Indie grew up and the dynamics changed among the four and the boy next door. Mind blown again! It wasn’t all intense. There were a few light moments and a few laughs and the love flowed. It was so interesting seeing these swoon-worthy, incredible men training a wild young woman bred to be an operative. The author did a great job with all the POVS, the flashbacks, tons of characters and intricate storyline. I was guessing all the way to the end and then mind blown! I couldn’t believe the huge reveal at the end. Too much. I can’t wait for the next story in this crazy world with the new powers to be. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC.
I love the cover, I love the title, and I love the blurb so I couldn’t wait to get stuck in. It must be said that I have read quite a few of this author’s books but not a heap about the Company. You can read this book as a standalone but it references a lot of people from her other books, so it took me a while to get into it. Once I did though, it was intriguing, complex and pretty compelling. The characters are complicated and the plot was intricate with plenty of mystery and questions that needed answers.
“This girl was bred. She was made. She was a plan.”
Indie Anna was truly the most fascinating of creatures. She’s back in town after a four-year absence – an absence that she can’t really explain -but neither she nor the men in her life can move forward until she remembers what happened to make her leave and where she’s been.
“She is ours and that’s just how it is.”
I adored McKay – he was my favourite. I loved his patience, his nurturing nature, his loyalty. Adam was close behind. Even though he seemed cold and detached, underneath beat a protective and loving heart. I felt the most disconnected from Donovan and didn’t truly feel the sexual vibe between Indie and him, but he was still an interesting character with an agenda all of his own.
This story was an absorbing puzzle and I’m looking forward to reading the next book in the series.
A Deliciously Creepy Read. Like. WTF DID I JUST READ.

“Lost, but now I am found
I can see that once I was blind
I was so confused as a little child
Tried to take what I could get, scared that I couldn’t find
All the answers I need.
Don’t make me sad, don’t make me cry
Sometimes love is not enough and the road gets tough
I don’t know why.”

What’s this book about? (I’m trying to give as little spoilers as possible)
I’m not saying a single thing. Read other reviews that include a description of The Company and how it all works. I’m not suitable to explain it to you just yet because I think I need a second read. Just fyi though, in case you’re looking for smutty Reverse Harem situations, this story is NOT about that.
This isn’t my first J. A. Huss read. I’ve read Three, Two, One and the Turning series. Basically almost everything this author has written that has NO connection to this story. LUCKY ME. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA
I just finished reading this about an hour ago, so my feelings might be a bit of a mess. First of all, I must say, I’m so glad this isn’t an Off Balance situation. It’s not a spoiler if you haven’t read Off Balance. LOL. I loved how the three men (Sour Adam, KING McKay, Doc Donovan) didn’t abuse their positions of power with a minor. I don’t know how to word this review without spoiling the plot. I went in barely knowing what the blurb said and not having read any excerpts.
When I began the novel, I read a review where it explained how some aspects of the story worked and I thought that I had been told what happens. HELL NO. That review only helped me understand some of the workings. In reality, there was twist after twist and so many complications that I almost lost focus. There was so much to remember. After reading 20 something percent, I was putting pieces together and I was able to remember stuff much easier. My memory is bad and there’s LOTS of things happening in the chapters, in multiple time frames, with lots of characters and locations and at first, it was overwhelming. The structure of this is very complex and I must admit that I enjoyed it still. The story had a Dystopia feel to it and I loved that although it’s not set in a proper Dystopia setting. It definitely had that creepy darkness one could feel during The Hunger Games.
Having read Huss novels before, I thought there’d be more erotic romance to it. However, I was proven wrong. I didn’t mind though because it would’ve been really CREEPY if this was more erotic. Like WTF. Go read Off Balance if you want that. (NO SHADE TO OFF BALANCE, but THAT part of the book really messed with me).
Reading this story required concentration for me, for it was complicated, crazy, mysterious, thrilling, weird, sorta morally loose and TIGHT at the same time. I was hooked and it was the definition of a PAGE-TURNER for me. I couldn’t put it down. When I had to, (FOR SLEEP AND FAMILY MATTERS) I kept sneaking a peek into my phone to read a page on the low or have a thought about the book’s direction. It was a mindfck. Sometimes things were pretty obvious, I’d say, but still, you can’t steer away from thinking you’re in for more twists. I recommend this to people who love themselves a thrilling, entertaining and complex dark read.
“’Cause we’re the masters of our own fate
We’re the captains of our own souls
So there’s no need for us to hesitate
We’re all alone, let’s take control.”
Lust For Life – Lana Del Rey
It’s times like this, when I finish a book like this, that I hate that I am unable to write an amazing review. This book was fantastic, I don’t have the words. The suspense is mind-blowing. I was taken on a journey while on a rollercoaster. McKay, Adam, Donovan, and Indie were each very unique characters, yet they belonged together, were destined to be together. There is not a whole lot of sex, but there is a ton of love. I wish I could explain, but, you gotta read it, go on this journey yourself, to truly understand.
I need to start by saying that I love the way this book has been written. The first part of the book is written with flashbacks from the past of all 4 main characters: who they were, what they were doing, how they met and what happened to end in the situation that’s called present. It was the greatest built up!! Second half of the book is written in the present while all 4 of them deal with the consequences of the past still. It’s hectic, it’s crazy, it’s unnerving but you will love it! 5 creeping beautiful stars!
Told in the past and present by 4 POV’s. This story weaves a path so intense and intricate that I give praise to JA Huss for her expertise in keeping the story straight and flowing
Adam, Donovan and McKay all play a vital role in the life of Indie Anna Accorsi. For a 10 yr old Indie her life has been constantly monitored, recordered and lead into a path that was not conventional. We are lead through 14 yrs of all of the ups and downs of being a “Company” kid and what is expected.
The intrigue and mystery are strewn within every chapter and it’s not until the very end that we get the secrets spilled and a zinger of an ending.
I’m excited to see just where this new series is going to take us and just how much more mystery is divulged from the super secret Company.
JA Huss never stops to amaze me with her very original and captivating stories. Creeping Beautiful is a dark, complex, and twisted romantic suspense. This is a spin off of the Rook & Ronin/Company Series (I haven’t read it yet). This is a wild ride, and a suspenseful journey, with an impressive cast of intriguing characters. The storyline has twists and turns, mystery and secrets. I loved to have multiple POV’s. The Epilogue is great. I enjoyed it. Looking forward to read the next installment, Pretty Nightmare. The back story starts at the beginning with Rook & Ronin Series, but you don’t have to read it before Creeping Beautiful. However, I would love to read the Rook & Ronin/Company Series before the next book in the Creeping Beautiful Series.
Creeping Beautiful is an intense, emotional, and skillfully written dark romantic suspense story that captivates you from the cover. The storyline is intriguing, the characters enchanted me and had me reading late into the night. There’s suspense, mystery, danger, lies, secrets, consequences, twists, heartbreak, love and so much more.
I volunteered to review an advance reader copy of this book.
Creeping Beautiful is so well written that you are invested in all the characters before you even realize it. Donovan, Adam, McCay, Nathan, and Indie creep into your heart. The book is beautifully written. The plot slowly reveals itself in little nuggets of heart stopping action. I couldn’t put it down. I read the whole thing in one night. I didn’t sleep. I honestly don’t know how I’ll last until the rest of the series comes out. I’m trying to convince myself I have enough money to buy everything J.A. Huss has ever written. It’s that good of a book. It’s tragic, heart stopping, beautiful, romantic, infuriating all at once. It’s everything a book like this should be. Every detail has been thought out…every detail.
A total 5 out of 5 for me.
Triggers: Teen pregnancy, death, violence
I received this story in exchange for an honest review.
Whoa! So twisted, messed up but beautiful broken people. I honestly didn’t quite know where this story was going at times because these clever twists would pop up out of nowhere. None of the people are what I’d label as a “reliable narrator” so just when you think you have a truth you can throw into your memory bank…bam! No…that’s not really what happened. I enjoyed the secrets and the Company and the missions that go on behind the scenes. The storyline was amazing and intriguing. This first part was unraveling where everything took a sharp turn and went wrong. I definitely had some guesses and some were right and some were a little off base since I was led awry. But it was so fun to figure out a little tiny bit of what was really going on. Great read.
Wow! I didn’t expect this book, actually I need the next one I’m that hooked, the author new how to keep me reading until i finish, the story is beautifully written, it will keep you with the expectation on what is going to happen what turns may the story take and the suprises, you’ll fall for all the characters as the chemistry is perfect, go fast it as soon as you can this one is a must.
Creeping Beautiful is not the kind of book you simply read. You experience it. You live it. This story and these characters will burrow under your skin and embed themselves in your soul… and you will welcome it. This is a book that stays with you long after you’ve finished reading it. It’s intense and engaging and thoughtful and absolutely riveting. It is heartbreaking and hopeful all at once. It will you leave you emotionally wrung out and reeling, and so happy for the experience. You don’t need to have read any of JA Huss’s previous books to become thoroughly immersed in this one. Although you may find yourself drawn to her previous books after you’ve read this one, and that can only mean good things for you. I, myself, am a long-time reader and admirer of JA Huss’s work, so you’d think I’d be used to the dark and twisty by now… but there is no preparing for Creeping Beautiful. What I wouldn’t give to live in JA Huss’s mind for just one day! Although, I’m not at all sure my psyche is prepared for such an experience. Machiavelli has nothing on you, Ms. Huss. Lucky for us, you choose to use your powers for good, which translates to hours of enjoyment for your readers. I honestly cannot recommend this book highly enough, and I will be counting the days for the next book in this masterful and compelling series.
* I was given an ARC of this book and voluntarily chose to review. All of my opinions are honest and entirely my own.
*boom* Mind. Blown.
This book is freaking AH-Mazing! This is a romantic suspense with tons of twists and turns, you never know what to expect! That ending ya’ll. I didn’t see it coming!
Creeping Beautiful

Main Characters: McKay, Adam. Donovan, and Indie Anna Accorsi
I voluntarily and honestly reviewed this book without bias or persuasion from the author.
5 out of 5 stars
This is a dark romantic sexy suspense story. You have no idea what is coming next. There are so many twists and turns and so hard to put the book down. Loved it!!
