Whose parents abandon them in a trashy trailer when they are five years old? Oh Yeah! Mine do!
Hey Hoochies! I’m Milly, and I am tired of taking kicks to the gut. A broken family, an asshole husband and the loss of … broken family, an asshole husband and the loss of loved ones have left me crying Uncle, and declaring a serious case of the Fuck-Its!
I had my heart broken, stomped on and shattered before I ever started on my journey to find my little piece of happiness. With a bucket list, a ‘66 Ford and wild dreams, I set out on an adventure that changed my life forever.
I found Cree…
A pirate with a little princess and they swept me off my ever lovin’ feet, filling my world with sprinkles, mac n’ cheese and the courage to live again.
They forced my fragile heart to trust and love without fear.
But the truth is, nobody’s past stays hidden forever. It’s an invisible monster waiting to attack and destroy. It has the capability to ruin everything you’ve worked to set right.
All it takes is one final blow to the gut to end everything…

OMG. What an awesome Awesome book. Never laughed so much. So much romance and very unpredictable.
Great
Milly was one of those children born to the wrong parents. Her grandfather ended up raising her, she met & married her ex-husband while in college and lives her mother in law. She kindly named her ex the bastard and after her mother in law passed she asked for a divorce. He left her with nothing. But the joke was in him. She made herself a bucket list and ended up in a small town outside of Denver and met Cree & his little girl Annie and her life started.
it was amazing
I loved this BOOK!!!!
The Characters were so real and raw. Again this book holds a special place for me because it deals with verbal and physical abuse. Amelia is incredible she is the human version of a Phoenix she just kept raising from the ashes. She called herself a badass a few times through the book and I feel she truly was.
I cant even imagine what this poor woman went through. It seemed until met Cree she just couldn’t catch a break. EXCEPT for Frances. It’s not everyday that a mother sides with her in law over her own child. But that Frances, yea, she’s my kind of woman
Loved this book! I laughed so much I almost PMP! I loved the in your face tell it like it is fun relationships! And then add a great storyline to it, is a double win! One of my new all time favorite authors!!! I will most definitely be reading all/any books H.J. writes!!!!!

This book was FABULOUS!! I cannot say enough because I do not want to give too much away.
I picked this book after reading some wonderful reader comments..
The story was gripping and kept my attention, I read this in a short amount of time..
I have a soft spot for a good love story, hard times, single life. finding love, struggling with pasts etc. The main character (Milly) went through a tough start as a child, living through it all and then with her relationships a rough marriage, One great thing coming from this relationship. (read on to find out).
She springs free thanks to some Great Luck!!
Cree was a great character as well, The love of a single father is limitless.
The author was wonderful to read, I am looking forward to continuing this series and reading any others she may post along the way.. She is perfect with timing and keeping the story interesting, she had just enough, not going too much into scenes. I loved the freedom of speech during the whole book.. The girlfriends and the way it was worded was fabulous also..
This book was pure entertainment and what made it was Cree’s sexiness, boy was that man sexy, “Dolly, I don’t have a wife. It’s just me and Annie. I’ve been a single father since she was born.” He gives the best compliments if I were Milly I’d be blushing all the time, but we know Milly isn’t an average woman, “don’t ever call your a** chunky! It’s amazingly plump and so nice to stare at. By the way, great customer service you’ve got there, Dolly!” Cree likes to please his lady and if that means going shirtless he’s all for it, “as requested, the bacon was cooked, and Cree was shirtless and barefoot.” Cree isn’t a normal guy the boy has some strange cravings, “I found Cree in his boxer briefs sitting on the counter, eating a pumpkin pie straight from the pie tin. Holy sh**! My jaw dropped and my eyes bulged out of my head. I couldn’t look away if my effing life depended on it.” Cree has an obsession with Milly’s a**, “I put on my beanie, then grabbed my purse and Annie’s flowers from Cree’s hands. He smacked my a** and then grabbed it for extra measure, as he followed me over to our girls.” Sometimes Milly can shock the hell out of Cree, which is a good thing to keep him on his toes, “my left hand found it’s way down between us, and I grabbed onto him. Cree adjusted his hold, gripping my a** even tighter. His eyes lit up and without thinking he blurted, “you aren’t wearing any panties!” I can’t wait for the next book in the series
