Bakery owner Hannah Swensen has a dress to fit into and a date with her sister, Andrea, at Lake Eden’s new health club, Heavenly Bodies. Dragging herself out of bed on a frigid Minnesota morning for exercise, of all things, is bad enough. Discovering the body of man-eating bombshell Ronni Ward floating in the gym’s jacuzzi? Okay, that’s worse. Nor does it help that there’s a plate of The Cookie … Cookie Jar’s very own cream puffs garnishing the murder scene.
Trying to narrow the list of Ronni’s enemies down to fewer than half the town’s female population, Hannah has her plate full. Trouble is, when it comes to cookies–and to murder–there’s always room for one more. . .

3 out of 5 stars to the eleventh book, Cream Puff Murder, in the “Hannah Swensen” cozy mystery series by Joanne Fluke. And yes, it was hard to read without wanting a cream puff the entire time!
Why This Book
I’ve been reading the Joanne Fluke series for several years and had asked for a few of her books for my birthday last month. One was …
I have enjoyed all (and I do mean all) of her books.
I love this author
Hannah must lose weight before her mom’s book launch and agrees to start exercising with her sister at the local gym. Unfortunately, she finds more than willpower early one morning. Can Hannah find the murderer before she wilts like her first cream puff attempt?
I enjoyed this entry in the Hannah Swenson series. I had not figured out the …
I really like the Fluke series. If you love to bake this is a must read. Receipes are great and the tips help
Hannah’s mom has written a book, and ask Hannah and her sisters to wear special dresses for the book launch party. When Hannah goes to try it on she can’t fit so her and Andrea go out to heavenly bodies to try slim up so Hannah can fit the dress. After working out they head off to the jacuzzi where Hannah finds man eating bomb shell Ronni …
I love all the Hannah Swenson books written by Joanne Fluke. Look forward to the next book as soon as I finish the latest book out. The characters are wonderful and the setting makes me want to live there.
Love all her books
Another trip to Lake Eden in the books (that was terrible and I want to be sorry, but I’m too amused with myself). Hannah, of course, finds herself thrust into another investigation with all of her favorite (and not-so-favorite) people. One thing I have come to notice in this series: if there’s a particular character that most of the residents of …
The only part of this book I hated is Mike! You don’t “dally” the fitness instructor across the hall then go back and tell the woman your dating i love you, it just happened now prove I didn’t kill her.
I enjoy all of Joanne’ s books. Easy reading and carefree. Love her recipes too!
Hannah needs to lose weight, so she has joined Heavenly Bodies, the new gym at the mall. But one morning, she finds universally hated fitness instructor Ronnie Ward floating face down in the spa. It really is cruel to talk about losing weight in the middle of all the delicious recipes in the book. Not the strongest plot in the series, but fans …
