I loved this story. Terrific read. Truly unique story from a very talented, natural born storyteller that I highly recommend.
I am in awe of Ella. How can someone be so Pollyannaish after being incarcerated in a mental institution for so long? No wonder Heinrich keeps choking when she says something. No wonder Zane falls for her. In a truly wonderfully weird way, Ella reminds me of the lionesses of Arik’s pride. I wonder what would happen if she and they met?
I didn’t think that I would like this story. Ella has been institutionalized since she was 7 years old. She is now 25.
I actually liked Ella. She’s sweet, innocent, but not ignorant, and funny. Zane was a good match for Ella.
I’m glad that I got this book and plan to read the rest of the series.
Somehow I just could not enjoy it much. It was alright. A quick read.
Poor Ella was locked away at a young age, deemed crazy. Fate has a way of protecting Ella, bringing her Zane right before an evil wizard gets his hands on her. Ella finds herself drawn to Zane in ways she doesn’t understand but trusts anyway. Together they find out what makes Ella unique in the world & make sure she can take care of herself.
Crazy is the first book in a new series by Eve Langlais. It is more of a novella and could certainly have been longer.
The situation was interesting and different from your normal paranormal romance. Ella has been in a mental institution since she was 7 years old. She is now 25. She hears voices and they tell her things. One night she sees a vampire and the voices stop. Zane, the vampire, tends to get blood from people in mental institutions or nursing homes. After encountering Ella, he rescues her and takes her home with him.
I won’t go into a lot of other details in order to avoid spoilers. However, there are some hilarious moments and there is an antagonist that comes into play. For such a short book, there was a large number of steamy scenes. Unfortunately the suspense part of the book took second stage and did not have any twists and turns.
The book was an interesting concept, but it did not hit the mark for me. Despite this, those that like paranormal romances with some humor and lots of steamy scenes may love this one. I wanted more suspense.
Funny with a twist! Laugh out loud, funny!
Liked this one. will read again. Love this author’s work
Don’t like the sexual aspect of book
Pros: Different than your usual vampire romance, the woman is actually more powerful than the vampire guy, entertaining and effective voice from the author in writing the heroine.
Cons: insta-love.
Eve is one of my favorite authors.
It was refreshing to find another author besides Charlaine Harris who could make a character that has a reason to love vampires. It was cute and not too complicated. Liked it better than others I’ve read from this author.
I like the outlook of the female character who had been raised in the institutions. Makes you realize how much we are creatures of our environment and training.
Crazy was so good I had to get the next book, Crazier .
Good people was situation food one , and an opportunity for the other. Fast read ,you just can’t put it down.
Enjoy her writing.
A fun read
I found it hard to put down as the plot became more intricate and exciting with an unexpected ending.
Great story! Easy, fun, and a quick read, which is great ’cause I couldn’t put it down!
Too short
I bought it because of the blurb, rather than the cover. The cover would have put me off on it’s own. Thank goodness for the blurb! What an excellent book! I throughly enjoyed it and would definitely recommend it to others as a “must read”
