A sexy, small town, opposites attract rom com!He wears suits and ties. He’ll one day inherit a fortune. He has a law degree. He shines his shoes, for God’s sake. What is she doing attracted to a guy like him? But she is. She so is.She drives air boats on the bayou, drinks and cusses, and gives city boys in suits a hard time just for fun. Why can’t he get her out of his mind? But he can’t. He … Why can’t he get her out of his mind? But he can’t. He definitely can’t.
A weekend trip to Savannah for a fancy-schmancy party with his highfalutin family is the surefire way to prove that they have nothing in common but intense chemistry. And to maybe scratch this I’ve-never-wanted-anyone-like-I-want-you itch once or twice. Or five times.
But it takes only about twenty-four hours for the bayou girl and the city boy to figure out that they don’t really know much at all–about each other, or about themselves. And figuring all of this out is going to be downright crazy.

I have read, and will continue to read everything that Erin Nicholas writes!
Her stories are amazingly fun rom-coms that are full of heart and love and lots of fun sexy times!
Crazy Rich Cajuns is the perfect “ending” to the Boys of the Bayou series. You really get to see what the Landry’s are all about…..family. Being there for each other and knowing exactly what to do to support the person you love in all that they do…..making them better versions of themselves while also learning how to become a better version of yourself…..together.
Such an amazing book! Kennedy and Bennett are my favorite kind of couple. The banter and sass between Kennedy and Bennett build and build making their chemistry off the charts. Erin has a way with the written word, that makes you connect with her characters and experience their feelings as if you are them. I loved this book.
At first glance Kennedy Landry and Bennett Baxter certainly do not seem like the perfect couple. But boy-o-boy do those two have sizzling chemistry together. As you read further into the story you learn that they match perfectly. I loved following along as their relationship progressed. It was a real surprise to me what Kennedy ended up doing as a career. I also loved that all the characters from the series also play significant roles in this book. I have really enjoyed this series. Author Erin Nicholas is a fantastic storyteller!
Wow! This book is spicy !
I’m a huge fan of Erin Nicholas and was honored to be able to read and review an early copy of this book.
If you haven’t been to Autre, Louisiana to visit the Boys of the Bayou, then you don’t know what you’re missing. This is the fourth book in the series and it takes us into the minds and hearts of Kennedy Landry and Bennett Baxter. Two completely opposite people for totally different worlds who don’t find true happiness until they’ve found each other!
You will fall in love with the characters from this series and want to plan your next vacation to the bayou of Louisiana in hopes that these characters are somehow real people.
I have been waiting anxiously for this new book by Erin Nicholas. I was very excited to be selected to read this advanced copy. It certainly was not what I expected for Bennet and Kennedy. It was a totally different story line than I anticipated. Of course, I loved it!! It showed the vulnerability for both Kennedy and Bennet with each other and also with each other‘s families. Kennedy showed that she was a true bad @ss in any situation. I loved how she was able to hold her own with Bennet’s mother! Also, you can’t forget Kennedy’s grandparents. Once again, they always have great advice to share with their loved ones! I am looking forward to the next book by Erin!
I wish there were more stars to give for this absolutely fantastic book! This series is fast becoming one of my all time favorites by Erin Nicholas and that is really saying something as I have loved every one of her series so far! I laughed, I swooned, I felt so many things which is exactly why I read!
I knew Kennedy’s book would blow me away since I totally adore her character. She is real, unapologetic, funny, sassy and just so cool! She is my soul sister for sure as I too can eat my weight in stuffed mushrooms lol and think hors d’oeuvres are simply the best because you get to sample so many different things at once.
Bennett is so sexy, nerdy and commanding and everything that is the opposite of what Kennedy thought she wanted; that is until some time away from Autre with him shows her how wrong she was about that. Turns out he is so sexy and irresistible in his glasses and shiny shoes and that there is so much more to him than she every knew! Kennedy blooms when she is with him and she shows sides of her that had been hidden beneath the good time bayou girl. I love these meddling cajuns and how they make Bennett come to a very important realization. I also love how supportive he is of Kennedy and how he really gets behind her and what she wants. She is a breath of fresh air and Bennett finds he really needs air!
I love this story so much! I love the Landry’s and their antics! But I really adore Kennedy and Bennett and every single thing about their journey to their HEA. Amazing epilogue and lead in to the next book! Can’t wait for more!!!
What a fabulous story for Kennedy! As the only female in a group of guys that run a bayou tour company, Kennedy more than held her own. She was fearless and had a hand in everything her family did all the while keeping the guys managed. Kennedy needed a guy that was her equal, not one that she could control or one that would control her but let her be her. Bennett was the perfect guy for her. Bennett actually saw her and not just the black clothes, fingernails, tattoo and dyed hair. He actually saw her and wanted her for her. He liked when she gave him attitude- heck it turned him on! You could feel the attraction between these two from the get go, they actually got turned on by the disagreeing and flirting they did. I enjoyed Bennett taking Kennedy back to his family’s home and seeing her open up in a different environment than what he is used to seeing her in. I loved the chemistry between Kennedy and Bennett, you could just feel the attraction these two had for each other.
I have loved the Boys on the Bayou series and have enjoyed seeing them all for the person that was perfect for them. It was quite enjoyable seeing Bennett fall for Kennedy and not be scared away by her attitude or her “dark” appearance but that he actually saw her and fell in love with her. And it was great seeing Kennedy fall for a guy so unlike her- at least on the outside. These two were a fantastic couple and I loved them together. I have loved all of the books in the Boys on the Bayou series and Kennedy’s story did not disappoint.
I first fell in love with Erin Nicholas’ books when she wrote the Sapphire Falls series. Then came the Taking Chances series followed by the Billionaires in Blue Jeans books, both of which I loved. Finally, we got the Boys of the Big Easy, which takes place in my neck of the woods, followed by the Boys of the Bayou. At this point, it’s say to say I’m addicted to her sweet, down home style of writing. I just love the feisty southern boys she brings to life, and the sassy girls that keep them in line. Kennedy and Bennett are a welcome addition to the roster, they are the perfect topping for this series. I’m hoping there will be more and can’t wait to see what she brings us next.
The absolute perfect ending to this series!!
You know when you fall in love with a character in a series and then wait (impatiently) for that character to get her own book and then she finally does and it’s even better than you imagined? That is 100% Kennedy Landry for me. I adored the glimpses of her we got in the other books and I just knew her story would be special. Kennedy and Bennett are fantastic together, their fun, flirty banter, their oh-so-hot encounters and their sweet romantic gestures all lead up to a surprising and yet perfect happily ever after.
I love this series, these characters and the Bayou. Definitely a must read!!
Who knew nerds were so HOT! That shiny shoes were a turn on or that everyone needs a Joe. I want to be Kennedy, so tells it like it is, she can cook just about anything……just no more bananas foster. Bennett is in need of a lot of Kennedy in his life but can he handle what she needs him to be. This has got to be my favorite boys of the bayou book.
I loved this book even more than the other Boys of the Bayou book (if that’s even possible). I’ve been looking forward to Kennedy and Bennett’s story, and Erin Nicholas didn’t disappoint. There were twists throughout, and the chemistry between these two was off the charts scorching. This book really has it all; family, love, all the emotions, an awesome and relatable hero and heroine and a host of great supporting characters.
Bennett and Kennedy exceeded everything I thought they would be. They were so much more and then some! I just loved them. Kennedy and Bennett are fantastic together; from their fun, flirty banter, their sizzling hot encounters to their sweet romantic gestures which was the best lead up to a surprising and yet perfect happily ever after.
Kennedy and Bennett heat this book up from beginning to end. I could not put it down. As always, I cannot wait to see what Erin Nicholas comes up with next!
Kennedy & Bennett are complete opposites. Kennedy is the baby of the family & is used to having her own way. With her combat boots, tattoos, and snarky attitude, she holds everyone at arms length. Bennett comes from a rich, political family. He’s determined to make his own way. He’s a nerd with multiple degrees & an interest in saving the environment. So what is behind this attraction between them? When he took Kennedy to his father’s retirement party, he didn’t expect her to fit in & his family to love her. So is that a good thing or a bad thing?
I loved this book! Kennedy’s attitude puts most people off. By not letting anyone close, she manages to keep them from seeing behind her mask & protects herself from hurt. After being a beauty queen, shes’s experienced at portraying a false image. People see what they want to. The thing is, under that hard shell, she has a tender & loving heart. Bennett liked what he saw & was interested in Kennedy & her attitude. He just needed to find out if he truthfully is interested in all of Kennedy or if he is just using her as a rebellion against his family. This story is full of wit, sass & attitude! It was a fun & enjoyable read that I’m ready to go back & read again!
I just love Erin’s books and this one is tops on my list now. The banter between Kennedy and Bennett was hilarious, sexy and downright perfect. He’s her “Leo” and she’s perfectly happy with that. If you love small town romance with humor than this book is definitely for you. Highly recommended.
Oh my. Another sigh worthy and very satisfying story by Erin Nicholas. I don’t know what else to say except that Kennedy and Bennett are my new power couple. They were cute, hot, and so much fun! Their banter was ripe with so much sexual tension and their chemistry was definitely off the charts scorching. I laughed out loud. I cried. And I swooned, big time! I absolutely loved every moment of Crazy Rich Cajuns!
*I voluntarily read an advance copy of this book*
I have loved this Bayou Series. Kennedy has always been a handful. But she is loyal to her family and tells you exactly how she feels. I have loved how her and Bennett have flirted for awhile and he is finally making his move. The two seem like such opposites on the surface. I loved how Bennett tried to get information from her grandpa, brothers and cousins so he wouldn’t mess up anything with her.
You have to understand that Kennedy dresses goth and has a big tattoo. Bennett is a lawyer and his father has been a Georgia Senator. Kennedy’s family is bold, what you see is what you get, and anything goes. Bennett’s family hobnobs with governors, senators and rich individuals. The one saving grace is that Bennett’s mom is from Louisiana even though she does not broadcast that or act like it now. I loved when Bennett took Kennedy to his family home to celebrate his father retiring from the Senate. I would have loved to have been a fly on the wall for that weekend! Bennett and Kennedy have decisions to make about their future and what they are looking for out of life. I loved the story and strongly encourage you to read the book. I was given a copy of the book and voluntarily wrote a review.
This book will give you lots of feels and leave you wanting so much more. You will try to be prepare for what’s going to happen, you wait for it as you read more, and then it happens. Just like a Hurricane! … except you want more. Kennedy and Bennett has a relationship that some people can relate to ….not perfect but it’s theirs and amazing. Who doesn’t love some Cajun spices in their life … crawfish style.

Could not put this book down. Read it in a day and a half. This is by far one of my favorites series by this author can not wait for her next release. I’m so glad that Kennedy got her opportunity to shine and Bennet was there for her during it.

Erin Nicholas is one of those authors, and Boys of the Bayou is one of those series where just having Crazy Rich Cajuns in your possession is a distinct pleasure. But as delicious as that feeling is, it won’t hold you forever 😉 Crazy Rich Cajuns is definitely one of those books where on the one hand, it can’t get into my eyeballs fast enough, and on the other hand, I want to prolong the experience as much as possible because I’m going to love every second and will be so sad when it’s done.
Crazy Rich Cajuns is the fourth in this series set in Autre in the Louisiana bayou, and is the long-awaited story featuring Kennedy Landry and Bennett Baxter. Kennedy is the “baby” at the Boys of the Bayou, with a host of older brothers and cousins and loving family to keep a watchful eye on her hijinks. And because of that loving support, Kennedy has definitely forged her own path. A former star of the pageant circuit, Kennedy sports her changing hair and permanent tattoos with aplomb, and with her smart wit and equally smart mouth, will never take anything lying down. And with all that familial support, she’s the Boys of the Bayou’s sole full-time employee, so she’s an heiress of sorts to the swamp boat tour company her family’s lovingly built with their own hands.
Bennett is heir to a different sort of empire. He’s all slick suits and polished business acumen, and multiple degrees from excellent institutions of higher learning. While his lawyerly self can get the better end of any legal matter, it’s likely he’d easily end up alligator bait in Autre. So… what’s this ridiculous chemistry that sparks between these two? Why can’t they stay in their own lanes?
The beauty of love and the beauty of an Erin Nicholas story is that THIS is where the magic is.
Another thing about Erin Nicholas stories is the many hidden depths. Crazy Rich Cajuns is no exception. While I expected and very happily enjoyed the witty banter and the wisecracking, flirty fun, Ms Nicholas also brings it home with all the layers to Bennett and Kennedy. We readers have the pleasure of seeing them wrestle with uncovering and discovering who they believe themselves to be, who they believe each other to be, and who they are figuring out they really are.
The Boys of the Bayou series is also very much about the love of family, and Crazy Rich Cajuns delivers there as well. Not everyone in the story starts off as a Kennedy fan (it’s just shocking, isn’t it? 😉 ), but her big heart and willingness to go to the mat for those she loves? That wins her some important hearts, and I’m blinking back the tears. Ms Nicholas brings ALL the feels!
One other thing I loved about Crazy Rich Cajuns is that at the core, Bennett really is kind of a nerd. Those glasses aren’t just for show, and he really IS a geeky science-loving lawyer. But that passion not only wins us over, it bowls Kennedy over. And when Kennedy’s gears get spinning, world? WATCH OUT. Ms Nicholas lets us see that when we pursue what wows us and drives us, we can do incredible things. We real people can have real impact in our families and lives and communities.
Crazy Rich Cajuns is a feast for your heart. It satisfies like nothing else on the first read (not even a crawfish boil!) and every re-read to come.
Once again the bayou was loads of fun. Kennedy and Baxter have been teasing is for awhile and they finally give in give us what we’ve been waiting for—banter, laughter, and CHEMISTRY! The major departure for this story was that we spent a lot of time in Savannah with Baxter’s family. At first it was really hard to like Baxter’s mom but as the story progressed she got more likable-thank goodness but her Cajun family members were great to spend time around. Kennedy and Baxter both had to find out exactly who they were and how they fit together which made for a fantastic read!
