A sexy, small town, opposites attract rom com!He wears suits and ties. He’ll one day inherit a fortune. He has a law degree. He shines his shoes, for God’s sake. What is she doing attracted to a guy like him? But she is. She so is.She drives air boats on the bayou, drinks and cusses, and gives city boys in suits a hard time just for fun. Why can’t he get her out of his mind? But he can’t. He … Why can’t he get her out of his mind? But he can’t. He definitely can’t.
A weekend trip to Savannah for a fancy-schmancy party with his highfalutin family is the surefire way to prove that they have nothing in common but intense chemistry. And to maybe scratch this I’ve-never-wanted-anyone-like-I-want-you itch once or twice. Or five times.
But it takes only about twenty-four hours for the bayou girl and the city boy to figure out that they don’t really know much at all–about each other, or about themselves. And figuring all of this out is going to be downright crazy.

This is the fourth book in the amazing Boys of the Bayou Series. This is another great addition to the Series. Kennedy and Bennett’s story is beautifully written, fun, sexy, and heartwarming. Jamie Renell and Betsy Moore did a great job with the narration. I enjoyed it. Looking forward to listen to Must Love Alligators, the next book in the Series. I HIGHLY recommend this Series! #AudiobookObsession #PinkFlamingoProductions #TheFlock
This book follows Kennedy Landry who’s convinced everyone she doesn’t like Bennet Baxter but no one believes her . When Bennet invites her to his Fathers retirement party in Savannah she isn’t sure but she goes along convinced she’s going to act her normal way. It’s great seeing the other side of Kennedy and she can be serious about things and not just sassy with Bennet , the chemistry between her and Bennet is so hot and I was glad they get their HEA. I listened to the ALC of the book.
As always, it’s great to go back to the bayou. Erin Nicholas does an amazing job with world building and as someone who has read the last 3 books in the series, it is always a pleasure to go back into the Landry fold. I really liked Kennedy- strong but not overwhelming. She’s confident and fun and she’s written in such a way that she was able to be herself in both Autre but also Bennett’s world. Bennett is a lawyer and a part-owner of Boys of the Bayou. He’s supposed to be the opposite of Kennedy but their banter, their steamy talking and their general relationship shows that they aren’t that different. I loved their interactions and in no way did I think that Bennett ever looked down at Kennedy, even as different as she was to him.
This series has such fantastic characters and builds on the idea of family and close friends supporting each other. I can’t wait for the next book!
Narrated by Jamie Renee and Betsy Moore, these two did fantastic! Jamie Renee had a slightly older voice than I would have associated with Bennett but I liked his ability to nuance his voice. Betsy Moore was amazing- I loved how she really played the roles and situations. She made her voice totally scene appropriate and completely drew me in to her telling of the story.

Kennedy is my favorite Landry. I think she is everything a girl needs to be. Bennet is a happy surprise and everything Kennedy needs and didn’t know. They fit together like puzzles pieces. I just loved how they flirted and carried on. I could see the sparks a mile away. I am glad we got Kennedy’s story and felt I needed more when this book ended. When I see her in the other books I know she is up to something.
Kennedy is a self-confident woman who loves the bayou and doesn’t like being told what to do. So when a city boy named Bennett becomes a part-owner in the Boys of the Bayou business, and shows up in his shiny shoes, she tries to make it clear that she doesn’t want anything to do with him. Or does she? There are so many hilarious moments throughout this story and you won’t be able to stop yourself from laughing out loud. Bennett gets plenty of advice from the Landrys when he asks for it, although not all of it is what he expects. And both him and Kennedy find out more about themselves when he takes her to Savannah for his Dad’s retirement party. So many great moments in this book and you don’t want to miss out.
Kennedy and Bennett’s love story is book 4 in this series and was a great edition to the craziness of the Boys of the Bayou and the Landry family. This a great opposites attract story full of sexy times, lots of love, over involved family, and laugh out loud moments. Straight laced attorney Bennett from a rich family should not be perfect for tatted up cussing irreverent Kennedy but perfect for each other they are. Their slow burn started in an earlier bayou book when Bennett first invests in the Landry’s family swamp boat tour company but their real love story explodes to life in this book starting with a trip to Savannah and ends with a beautiful happily ever after. The story, like all of the stories in this series, is filled with loud, larger than life characters and situations, along with simmering and overwhelming feelings, all wrapped up in so much love. To get to their HEA, Kennedy and Bennett just have to learn that who they think they are, who they think they want, and what they think they want might not be what they thought after all. Together they get to grow into their true selves and find the best path together. I really love the small towns and the inhabitants that Erin Nicholas masterfully weaves into life. Crazy Rich Cajuns is no exception. This story is worth more than 5++ stars.
Bennett is so freaking hot! He’s a sexy nerd with a dominant side. Yet he also can stand aside and let Kennedy shine. Her personality is such a bright light. I envy how charismatic she is. And brave. The way she dares to go for her dreams is so admirable. And when she gets upset- watch out! Bennett is so patient with her too. I absolutely adore the way they both challenge and support each other. Although maybe they need to learn to do it in ways that don’t put their lives at risk.
A great fun read! You do not have to read the previous titles in this series to enjoy CRAZY RICH CAJUNS, however with that said I do feel like you’d enjoy the chemistry between Kennedy and Bennett if you’ve watched their interactions from previous books. Now with that said, the heat between these two is outstanding. You’ll laugh, sigh, and maybe tear up a bit. I loved watching Kennedy find her true self and come to terms with who is and who she wants to be. I honestly would love to visit the Bayou and meet these characters….I’d be so thrilled to find out there is a real life company like the Boys of The Bayou company. I’d plan a trip in a heartbeat! And I’m a little afraid of the water but I’d still go. LOL Author Erin Nicholas has created such real to life characters and painted such a great setting that I had to mentally remind myself they aren’t real. I sooo hope we get to see these people and this place again and again. I don’t want this series to ever end…..that would mean I couldn’t meet new people coming to the Bar. I honestly want to go have a drink and just sit back and watch these people…This is a series I could see as a TV series and we’d love….kinda like a Cheers in the Bayou….I mean who wouldn’t love that? And Hot Guys? And big crazy love stories? Yeah I’d watch that. Sorry….back to the story it’s well written, deeply engaging and completely enthralling. In other words you’ll want to devour this book and series quickly. So be prepared to buy all connected books and to want to be alone so you can read uninterrupted for a weekend….maybe a week if you really want to read ALL connected books from the Bayou area. I highly recommend this series and this book. CRAZY RICH CAJUNS may make you crazy for the Boys of the Bayou!!!! Highly Recommended.
While I was happy for the only female family member of her generation to finally get her own story, I was a bit disappointed by this book.
I really quite enjoyed most of the interactions between Kennedy and Bennett. But the entire premise for the weekend in question was pretty lame. And it was kind of a let-down, actually, that their relationship basically went from 0 to 60 in no time flat. Well, not including all of the starts and stops along the way. Just a rather weird tale, truly.
And the rear end was a bit much for me to accept. Kennedy seemed to do a complete 180 on her life goals completely out of the blue.
Still, these two were SO cute together, obviously in love, and ultimately good for one another. So, definitely different than what I expected, but still a good read overall. Of course, anything with this crazy family couldn’t be all bad.
Wow. These two are amazing. I’ve loved Kennedy since we met her in book one. She’s no-nonsense, does what she wants and doesn’t care if you don’t like it, has a huge heart (she is a Landry after all), and all around just an awesome chick.
Bennett’s character has intrigued me since meeting him through Maddie. His interest in the bayou and Kennedy has been fun to watch and as his character develops in this story the pieces start falling together.
These two are a great pair that dance around each other forever but when they give in – wowza. Each couple has turned up the heat a little more and Erin didn’t disappoint with these two. If you’re new to the bayou – go back to the beginning and get to know all of them! It’s so worth it. I wish I could book my visit to Autre today!
The Cajuns are back and boy we finally have the Princess of the family and Erin Nicholas totally did Kennedy beautiful. I loved that Kennedy is a kick ass princess not taking no shit from anyone including a rich boy like Bennett. These two bickering and their smart ass comments were hillarious at every turn making me love Kennedy more. Erin Nicholas shows us that opposites definitely make great couples and boy readers will love these two. There is tons of Cajun background making the bayou come alive once again by a talented author that will make you want to book a Louisiana trip right away. Have to say it was awesome to read this one by Erin Nicholas cannot wait to see what is next by her.
“I received an eBook copy from the publisher for the purpose of an honest review. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own.”
In Crazy Rich Cajuns, Bennett and Kennedy finally get their story. The two have an extremely fun love/hate? relationship but it is all basically flirting and foreplay. Bennett is a brilliant nerdy scientist with glasses (which I personally love) who is part owner of Boys in the Bayou. Kennedy is combat boots and tattoos and beautiful and all that Bennett can think about. When Kennedy has to ask for help he jumps at the chance to collect his debt and takes her to Savannah for the weekend to a party for his father’s retirement. Then the sparks really fly and they can finally act on their desires. But what they learn about each other makes for another whole facet of their relationship. I love the Boys of the Bayou series and this is a great addition.
I don’t think I have ever been as excited for the release of a story as I was for Crazy Rich Cajuns. Erin Nicholas hooked me tightly with the first 3 stories from this Boys of the Bayou series and I was beyond ready for this one. Why you ask? Cause these two characters have been building up to something through the first 3 books and it is about time for us to finally get their tale.
Kennedy may be the youngest member of the family business but her energy is powerful. We men think we rule the world, but we know better. Women rule, and this story passes on a powerful example of just how true that is. Kennedy is a force to be reckoned with and her powers are limitless. She has always been sure of herself and her direction in life. What she doesn’t know is that the world is not as simple as she thinks, and surprises can be found just by going around the corner.
Bennett is the successful businessman looking to show a different kind of success. While many in his family may be public figures, his path to success will take a different route…or so he things. Seems his world has been flipped upside down since he visited Autre, La for the first time. And some things are just out of a man’s hands.
Steamy, hot, powerful, heartfelt and just all out fun are how I would describe this story. Watching two people discover so much about each other and making their oddly different worlds mesh together had me turning the pages without stop. I loved this story and as is normally the case with an Erin Nicholas story, there are not enough stars to give on this book. Well done young lady and of course I am now waiting on the next installment.
Crazy Rich Cajuns is my favorite in the series! Anyone that’s followed along the Landry family journey has been introduced to Kennedy, and I’ve been dying for her story. I enjoy when you go into a book thinking you know the character pretty well, only for the author to draw you in even more and open your mind to an even deeper development, making you fall harder for their story. If you’re looking for a funny, light-hearted, crazy families, sassy and steamy romance – then this is the book you’ll enjoy over and over again.
When Bennett asks Kennedy to go away for a weekend to meet his family, it’s sorta in payment for legal services rendered, but it’s really so Bennett can finally act on the attraction between the two of them. He’s always been fascinated by the tell it like it is, sassy spitfire who’s the opposite of the uptight moneyed world he was raised in. If he can bring Kennedy to meet his family, and they click, he’ll know for sure she’s the one for him. Not that he doesn’t already know it…he just has to get her to agree he’s the one for her. Sounds easy, right?
Wrong! Because Kennedy is determined that they’ll have some fun, then he’ll get tired of her and leave. She’s not the woman for him with her tattoos and black clothing and bayou upbringing. She knows that their two worlds don’t mix and he’ll realize it after they’ve scratched their itch. But perhaps she’s got Bennett all wrong. Perhaps he’ll actually stick…
I loved Crazy Rich Cajuns. A more opposite couple could not possibly exist, but they’re perfect for each other. He’s the sweetest guy and he likes her, more than likes her, just the way she is. He supports her even when she doesn’t know what she wants in life. And she supports him too. And did I mention their chemistry is seriously smoldering?! Whew! I loved the Boys of the Bayou series and Bennett and Kennedy just made me want more of these bayou Landrys and the people (and animals) they love.
Crazy Rich Cajuns by Erin Nichols is the fourth book in the Boys of the Bayou series. This is a fabulous series, following her series, Boys of the Big Easy. Two brothers and a cousin have found their happily-ever-after and now it’s Kennedy’s turn. Kennedy is the younger sister and essentially runs the business: a bayou tour company, tours by airboat. She is the glue that holds them all together. It would behoove you to read the first three books as some of this will make more sense, but it is not necessary. Bennett Baxter has recently bought into the business. He owns 17%, but he does not run tours or even sell tickets. He is a lawyer in another state and he runs a foundation. He and Kennedy have a somewhat adversarial relationship. Hard to know which one of them enjoys aggravating the other more. We open with one such case: a visit from an animal control officer about a mama wolf and her babies being kept in captivity. He kept her on hold for four minutes. It as all the control he had. After he took care of the situation, he told her he was coming to the bayou. He walked in twenty minutes later. He had been in N’Awlins, not Savannah. She was surprised. He was gloating. He then informed her that he was taking her to Savannah with him for the weekend-his father’s retirement party. She thinks he’s nuts.
These are the best people and the reader gets to know them by reading the series. They are zany, irreverent, happy-go-lucky, and love to be in love. Kennedy had been a beauty queen when she was a kid and one day she decided she’s had enough so now her look was more goth-like. Bennett’s mother came from the bayou but felt she’s overcome her origins. Bennett loved the bayou and he wanted Kennedy. Water and oil. What a fine ride it was. Sexy and funny and unexpected; Nicholas lets the reader down. Read it in a sitting. Couldn’t put it down. Loved to see the growth in both characters, typical of a Nicholas novel. Loved the cameos by the rest of the family. Love the whole thing. Get it. Read it. Enjoy it. I did!
Alright Kennedy and Baxter finally get their story!!
I loved it from the first conference call to the last meeting in the bayou!!
So said to leave the family, although I really look forward to Chase’s story!
No point in beating around the bush: this is by far my favorite book in the Boys of the Bayou series. Not only does it feature Kennedy, whose story I have been waiting for since her introduction, but the author turns convention on its head and takes the story out of the Bayou. One would think it would be a fish-out-of-water, but that’s not necessarily the case. The journey that both Kennedy and Bennett undertake as they explore their feelings is typical Erin Nicholas but with a hint of something else (no spoilers). This is one of the first books in a while that I was sad to see end because I wanted more of their chemistry. Wow! Crazy Rich Cajuns is the best book in the Boys of the Bayou series. I adore Kennedy and Bennett. They truly are a perfect match. I love their chemistry.
With Kennedy the saying “there’s more than meets the eye” rings so true with Kennedy. Kennedy is more than just a bayou girl. I really enjoyed getting to her.
I adore this book. I felt as if I were actually there being a part of everything. I feel as if the Landry’s are my family. I laughed and had heartswooning moments. I loved seeing everything come together. Kennedy tells it like it is. Bennett is very supportive of Kennedy. I love their banter. I just love seeing them mess with each other. Its funny.
Erin Nicholas is a phenomenal author. She creates these worlds that are magical and breathtaking. She creates characters that are so realistic that you fall in love with them. Erin Nicholas captivated my heart from the beginning through the end. I didn’t want this story to end. I read it in one night. I have even read it a second time. It’s that good. Grab your copy and see why everyone loves Crazy Rich Cajuns.
CRAZY RICH CAJUNS is the much-anticipated fourth book in the Boys of the Bayou series by Erin Nicholas and it is delightfully laugh out loud funny and chock full of smart-mouthed, dirty-talking goodness! Bayou Princess Kennedy has met her match in nerdy Bennett and the chemistry is explosive. I loved everything there is to love about this book!
Kennedy has been a hoot throughout this entire series and even more so in her own story. She gives as good as she gets and she never strays from speaking her mind. Watching her go head to head with her match is pure rom-com gold.
Bennett has been intriguing since he swooped in and invested in the business, and the fact that he’s taken with Kennedy even though she’s a pain to him in every way is so delicious. When he swoops in to whisk her away for a weekend at his ritzy family’s house in Savannah, we know things are about to get down and dirty.
I highly recommend this book and the entire series to anyone who loves hilarious moments intermixed with smoking hot connections between alpha males and their equally qualified women. You can’t go wrong with any book you pick up in the series, they are all great!
