A sexy, small town, opposites attract rom com!He wears suits and ties. He’ll one day inherit a fortune. He has a law degree. He shines his shoes, for God’s sake. What is she doing attracted to a guy like him? But she is. She so is.She drives air boats on the bayou, drinks and cusses, and gives city boys in suits a hard time just for fun. Why can’t he get her out of his mind? But he can’t. He … Why can’t he get her out of his mind? But he can’t. He definitely can’t.
A weekend trip to Savannah for a fancy-schmancy party with his highfalutin family is the surefire way to prove that they have nothing in common but intense chemistry. And to maybe scratch this I’ve-never-wanted-anyone-like-I-want-you itch once or twice. Or five times.
But it takes only about twenty-four hours for the bayou girl and the city boy to figure out that they don’t really know much at all–about each other, or about themselves. And figuring all of this out is going to be downright crazy.

I say this every time I listen to one of these…but this one is my favorite! First off we have Kennedy with her goth look and attitude. She loves playing with the city boys. Then we have Bennett. He has been showing up and we see how much him and Kennedy love flirting/razzing each other. So he brought his shined shoes and perfect body down to the bayou. I am not sure who amazed me more. They both have wonderful growth but I think the alpha side of Bennett coming out is just…WOW! I really did not expect that from him.
I did listen to this on audio. The narrators did a good job. I was not a fan of the male narrator for this character (Bennett). He seemed too soft.
AUDIOBOOK REVIEW
When I first met Kennedy and Bennett I knew they had chemistry, but I didn’t expect their story to go this direction.
Their banter is hilarious. The way they bicker back and forth, not to mention all the steam. Hooo-weee!
My headphones almost melted.
I recommend this series!

A hot and fun romance with amazing character development
Audiobook version: 5 stars overall, 5 stars story, 5 stars narration
Besides having sizzling hot love scenes, witty dialogue, and characters who appreciate the environment, the romance in this book is intimate and multi-faceted. I am really impressed with Erin Nicholas’s superb writing. Both the romantic and the character development in this audiobook may be the best I have ever read. The author carefully thought out Kennedy’s and Bennett’s personalities and what they needed in life. This is a romance to savor. We also get to know both of their families. The interpersonal relationships in this book are rich and fulfilling, especially with Kennedy’s family. I feel like I know these people. Erin Nicholas has managed to out-do herself with this phenomenal fourth book of the series. I highly recommend listening to the entire series in order. It is my favorite contemporary romance series!
The dual narration was amazing. Both narrators, Jamie Renell and Betsy Moore, each delivered superb performances. Although Betsy Moore did not have the right accent for Kennedy in her first chapter, she really delivered the perfect sassy drawl starting in her second chapter. The story says that Bennett had learned to speak without his Georgia accent, so Jamie Renell appropriately has Bennett speak without a discernable accent. Each narrator delivers perfect emotiveness, pacing, sexual tension, and well-matched voices for each character. I will definitely look for more audiobooks performed by Jamie Renell and Betsy Moore.
I requested and received a free audiobook copy via #AudiobookObsession, and I voluntarily wrote this honest review.

Love Kennedy and Bennett! Audiobook Review
Erin did it again – another great listen! It was great to finally get to see more of Bennett and see what he was really like. I really enjoyed seeing Kennedy out of her element and shining so bright. Her and Bennett were so sexy and fun together and it made this book one of my favorite of the series. The narrators were new to me and I loved them and thought they were great for this book! I can’t wait to listen to the next book in the series!
keneddy and bennet can’t be more different but the attraction is there too. Can a weekend in Savanah with his family bring them together or will they discover who they trully are? spicey love story and great audiobook
I realized that if you never do anything new, you never learn anything. And learning things changes you. Even if those things aren’t what you intended to learn.

Bennett and Kennedy have been flirting with each other for a very long time but Kennedy always thought it was just harmless flirting. So when he requests that she go to Savannah with him, she is surprised. Not sure how she is going to fit in, Bennett tells her to just be herself so his family will see how much he does not want the life they want him to have. After spending some real-time together they realize that they really do not know each other or themselves.

Officially my favourite Boys of the Bayou book. The tension between Bennett and Kennedy has been brewing since the second book and I have been waiting anxiously to get their story. The banter between them is hot, fierce and hilarious. As much as Bennett and Kennedy were opposites on the outside they are perfect for each other on the inside. They both took me by surprise from what I thought that they would be like from the prior books. The chemistry between them was like a burning inferno. I totally recommend this book.

Audio: This was my first time listening to these narrators and I really enjoyed both of them. They both did a great job bringing the characters and story to life and were both great with the southern accents.
Audiobook Review:
I am once again wowed by the talent and writing skills of Erin Nicholas. Somehow this series seems to keep getting better and I love the characters more and more. I’ve been looking forward to Kennedy’s book for a while now and it was everything I wanted and more. Kennedy was so much more than I expected. I really loved her development and the unexpected changes in her. And then there was Bennett. He was the perfect example of a hot nerd with brains and a filthy mouth as well. It was so great listening to their banter back and forth as I listened to this audiobook. I got so wrapped up in it all and was smiling in the end.
Another very impressive part of this was the narration. Specifically, Betsy Moore. This was my first book with her and I LOVED her voice. She not only had the perfect sass for Kennedy, but her male voice!!! It needs so many fire emojis and all the exclamation points. From the first few lines she performed I knew she was someone I’d want to hear again, but then when she used her “Bennett voice” I was 1000% sold. I can’t wait to hear more from her in future.

I absolutely loved this book from beginning to end. I have loved this series, but this book might just be my favorite. I loved everything about Kennedy and Bennett. I liked that they seemed to be opposites, but that they complemented each other so perfectly. I loved their back and forth banter and how much of a hard time Kennedy gave Bennett but how much he secretly loved it. And the chemistry between them? Off the charts, smoking hot!!!! I listened to the audiobook which was absolutely fantastic. I really enjoy this author’s writing style and did not want this book to end. I cannot wait to get more of the Boys of the Bayou. I love this family and these characters!!!
I’ve been excited for Kennedy and Bennett’s story and it did not disappoint. It’s full of heat and so much fun. Their story is an opposites attract romance but their chemistry is off the charts. The banter between these two is one of my favorite parts of this book. I loved how as they got to know each other they both got to know themselves at the same time. You can’t help but love both of these characters, Kennedy is sassy and not afraid to say what she thinks and Bennett is sexy, dominant and swoony. They are perfect together. The narration was fantastic. Jamie Renell and Betsy Moore were both new narrators to me and I really enjoyed both of them as Bennett and Kennedy. Once again Erin hits it out of the park this book.

Kennedy Landry and Bennett Baxter
I really, really want to visit Autry, Louisiana and the crazy families of the bayou that were created by Erin. These books are such a wonderful place to visit and escape to. I enjoy getting to visit the crazy Landrys and the folks they take in as their own. It’s always guaranteed to make you giggle and smile and just make you feel good.
I have enjoyed giggling at the banter between Kennedy and Bennett in the previous books of this series but rest assured that you can listen to all of these books as stand-alone but why would you want to?
Kennedy is such a spunky, sassy gal and she isn’t all that different than Bennett in going after what she believes in and is always up for a challenge. I was happily surprised by Bennett’s ease at allowing Kennedy to hold her own while he was talking business at his family functions.
It sure was eye opening as to how well Erin wrote the feelings and passion into Kennedy and Bennett’s characters. The Baxter’s and the Landry’s are so different, but with Kennedy and Bennett’s approach to life, they both really enjoy helping others to get what is best for them and they both love their families so it all comes together for them for their HEA. Both aren’t so different, they are both passionate and supportive of what they believe in. And they both believe in Louisiana and the Bayou.
I loved this book and all of the books in the series. Such a smile making book! These two really are so perfect for each other and I can’t wait to hear more stories about more folks from Autry and the Boys of the Bayou. As a side note I would love to spend time with the crazy Cajuns not the stuffy politicians so yay team Kennedy!
And the heat and passion between them. Woo-wee, they sure are a fantastic couple.
The narrators Betsy Moore and Jamie Renell are both new to me but really had me entertained by this story and really matched the characters so very well. Awesome work.

I have been anxiously waiting for Kennedy’s and Bennett’s story. and this didn’t disappoint. Bennett was smitten with Kennedy the first time he met her. She was his opposite, and unlike any other woman he has dated. She is sassy and independent. Their teasing, sexual innuendos, and bantering is so hot and fun. Underneath all her sassiness, he saw her kind and caring. There are many laugh out loud moments, especially when Bennett brought her home for his father’s retirement party, and Kennedy’s run in with his mother.
This is a wonderful continuation of the Boys in the Bayou series, and the narrators were perfect for the story!

Bennett Baxter is a sexy rich office type and the complete opposite of Kennedy Landry. But that’s what makes them fit together and come together so well. It works for them.
I loved Bennett and his sexy self. I loved Kennedy and her sass and her attitude. I also loved watching the interest and relationship bloom. It was sweet and beautiful and oh so them. I loved it.
These books are small town, feel good vibes that make you want to move to Louisiana and become a Landry yourself. I’m obsessed with the light heartedness of this series and the dynamic of the Landry family.
Crazy Rich Cajuns by Erin Nicholas is an opposites attract romantic comedy that I listened to on audio narrated by Jamie Renell and Betsy Moore.
This is the forth book in the Boys of the Bayou series and can be read as a standalone. However, I would highly recommend reading them in order since the stories are interconnected.
I absolutely love this series! Erin does an amazing job pulling me into the storyline. I had a smile on my face through the entire book. I loved the relationship that bloomed between Bennett and Kennedy.
I can’t wait for the next book in the series Must Love Alligators to be released on audio so I can get Chase and Bailey’s story.
Jamie and Betsy did a great job on the narration. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.
I would recommend this book if you love small town romances, romantic comedies, or an opposites attract romance.

I have to admit, I’ve been waiting for Kennedy and Bennett to happen since the first book in this series, and I am so happy that Erin Nicolas didn’t save their story for last, because it is such a fantastic story.
Small town rom com series with amazing casts – that is clearly Erin’s specialty. And the town of Autre, LA, and the Landry family, certainly gives us a fantastic cast of characters. Each Landry has their own personality, and apparently Kennedy Landry’s the family ball-buster! She is gutsy, outspoken, determined, and focused. She’s also determined to make Bennett insane and prove to this city guy that Autre is not the right place for him. Little does she know, Bennett considers himself a Bayou boy at heart. I loved their friction, their spark, and their chemistry.
An absolute great read. And the audio, narrated by Jamie Renell and Betsy Moore, is a treat to listen to. Both of these narrators are new to me, and I’m looking forward to hearing more from them in the future.
A Wonderful & Delightful Story & Listen

An Opposites Attract Romantic Comedy (Boys of the Bayou, Book 4)
By: Erin Nicholas
Narrated by: Jamie Renell, Betsy Moore
I am a huge fan of this series and have been looking forward to Kennedy and Bennett’s story the chemistry between them is smoking hot and their encounters in previous books are like foreplay leading up to this one. Erin Nicholas is a gifted author with a brilliant mind, she masters romantic comedy with the perfect balance or romance, comedy and drama. The Boys of the Bayou series is set Autre, a small town in Louisiana. The boys run touring business in the Bayou, taking tourists on tours, Kennedy has her hands in the business she runs the office. In an earlier we saw Bennett a businessman from Georgia show interest in the business and then buying up some of the shares making him a part owner along with the Landrys. Kennedy was never a fan of him or his white collar ways and she busts his chops in every way she could regardless that he may be her boss now. Bennett is intrigued by her and her antics and he wants more of her, he just needed to find a way to get to spend time with him. He gets to take her home to his family in Georgia, but what happens when you take the girl out of the Bayou and into a world of upper class snobs and politicians. Wow, Kennedy is full of surprises, we knew she was a people person, ok, maybe not all the time, but she definitely can read them and Bennett gets way more than he bargained for when she turns the table on him. I loved how everything played out in this book, the story is wonderfully plotted and there is never a dull moment. There are many laugh out loud moments as well as heartfelt and emotional ones, best of al they lead up to a fabulous romance. Erin Nicholas, thank you for another amazing story, I am looking forward to what comes next in this awesome series.
And for the wonderful narration, Jamie Renell and Betsy Moore were the perfect cast to bring these characters and their story to life. Their portrayal of each character is just amazing, they grasped each character’s persona completely then took the role and made it their own, sounding believable and just how I picture them to sound. Betsy Moore’s Kennedy was a witty delight, Jamie Renell’s Bennett was swoon worthy and lovable. They set the perfect tone for the story, handle the witty dialogue with ease and landed the humor flawlessly. You could hear how much heart they put into their work as they captured all of the characters emotions and projected them into their performance. They are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another awesome listen

Kennedy and Bennett
When Cajun girl meets Rich man with shiny shoes…
Kennedy loves to flirt with Bennet and then she owes him a favor
So he collects in Savannah at a fancy party. This story is funny and a little different because they spend less time on the Bayou but not less time talking about it. These two characters get to know more about each other quickly. I recommend this edition to the series. Narration was great!
Sisters Spotlight
Boys of the Bayou is the first series I’ve read/listened to by Erin Nicholas, but I love her ability to incorporate humor along with strong women and quirky characters. I’ve been excited about Kennedy’s story since book two. Crazy Rich Cajuns is low on angst and high on humor. I really appreciate characters telling it like it is and not playing games. The ending was everything I’d expect from a Landry story, and the beginning was even more than I expected with Bennett getting advice from Leo and Ellie.
I listened to the audiobook version of the story. Jamie Renell & Betsy Moore were both new-to-me narrators but I would listen to them again.

The bayou finds its way to Savannah and the blend is perfection. These two seem to be total opposites and yet they have the same interests that make them fit together just right. I love the energy these two have and the way things ended in this book, although I do have to say, I will still be looking forward to more bayou stories in the future.
I am loving this series, Boys of the Bayou by Erin Nicholas. I have been waiting for Bennett and Kennedy’s story and was thrilled it was their turn. CRAZY RICH CAJUNS is funny! I was laughing so loud my husband was giving me funny looks. But there were the more serious moments that just seared these characters into my heart even more. Kennedy grew so much. Bennett is a favorite. I absolutely love these standalone reads, but can’t imagine anyone not choosing to follow the whole series.
Jamie Renell and Betsy Moore were excellent narrators. Both of them were new to me. I will be looking for more of their works! This audiobook ran like a movie in my head. Great performances by both.

Boys of the Bayou #4
by Erin Nicholas
Narrated by Jamie Renell & Betsy Moore
I have found a new book boyfriend! Erin Nicholas’s 4th book in the Boys of the Bayou doesn’t feature a Landry man, but Kennedy, the sister! I love her! Kennedy and Bennett have been dancing around each other in the books, and now we get their story. Kennedy is invited to party with Bennett’s family is surely the way to catch her right? What a fun time was had by all! Just when we thought Kennedy would be a fish out of water, she proves herself to be so much more. And Bennett…talk about hot heroes! He had me at “Good morning, Miss Landry”. Witty banter, family experiences, just enough drama, laugh out loud moments and the Landry family all left me happy. This series is so much fun, making me want to join in and enjoy all that comes with these Boys of the Bayou!
Jamie Rennell and Betsy Moore are both new to me narrators and I absolutely loved them. Each scene was matched with the perfect voice. Rennell comes in as the sensual Bennett, making us fall in love with him. Moore is fantastic as Kennedy. Just the right amount of rebel and brains. She nails her! These two made a wonderful team, complimenting each other and making a listen that will not be forgotten anytime soon.
