Get ready for relatable stories for and about women in book two in Jill Hannah Anderson’s best selling “The To Hell-And-Back Club” series.Thirty-two-year-old Molly’s cushy life in Minneapolis tanks when her long-time boyfriend bails on her and their underwater-mortgaged home. She needs a place to live and a new job—and the answer to both may be in a quaint town called Love. The town where her … town where her deceased mother grew up, a town where an old General Store and home have been willed to Molly’s family…a town with secrets and people with long memories.
Can she trade her acrylic nails for pounding nails to revive a fixer-upper store? Molly is ready for a do-over and a chance to prove to herself that she can make it on her own.
She puts elbow grease, heart, and half her savings, into giving the old place a facelift. As her business grows, so does her relationship with Jackson—the owner of the hardware store—and great-nephew to the woman who willed her business to Molly’s family.
The tourist town of Love brims with quirky townspeople and fun events. And it is at one of these events that Molly is first threatened.
Apparently, not everyone is happy to have her in town. As threats against her escalate, Molly has to decide if she’d be better off leaving Love or staying to fight for the life she’s created in the town that has stolen her heart.

Jill Hannah Anderson has written a very interesting novel that will keep the reader turning the pages. CRAZY LITTLE TOWN CALLED LOVE is Book 2 to THE TO-HELL-AND-BACK CLUB series. It deals with family issues, secrets, mystery mixed with danger, and romance. At times, it could be a little intense, but it added to the mix, which I enjoyed. The genres for this novel are Women’s Fiction, Mystery and Romance.
Molly O’Brien inherits a General Store and home in a small town in Love, Minnesota. It’s perfect timing as her crappy boyfriend of six years, Nick, leaves her along with the mortgage on their house. With nothing really left for her, her wheels start turning, and she decides to move to Love and start a new life. Love is also where her late mother grew up. Can she really do this? Can she leave her cushy life behind where she had the best of everything and start all over? It takes a woman of guts, determination and power to leave it and move forward no matter what lies ahead and what the costs are. As she navigates running her business and getting acquainted with the town and its neighbors, she begins to find out that someone is out to destroy what she has inherited, but who? As all of this is taking place, there’s one person who cares about her well-being. Jackson, first an enemy, then friend, and then warm and romantic lover, is who has her best interests at heart. Even though Molly is an independent woman and doesn’t want to rely on a man, Jackson gets where she’s coming from.
With the danger and horrifying circumstances that take place in this novel, one thing stands out—Molly’s happiness. In the long run, Molly’s strength, persistence and tenacity are what led her to her happiness, and she did it by staying the course. She didn’t run. She didn’t move back to her old town. This one sentence made perfect sense to me, “We were responsible for our own happiness. I couldn’t help him, but I could help myself.” Boom! When you want to help yourself, you have everything, and that’s what leads to your happiness.
What I love about Anderson’s novels is that she writes about women’s issues that are real and anyone of us could face. There’s no fluff. What you see is what you get. Her characters are very real too and draw the reader in. Once again, she made me cry at the very end. Her writing is powerful, and I urge you to read this book. I’m also definitely looking forward to her third book.
I loved Jill Hannah Andersen’s story of a young woman moving north to the tiny town of Love, Minnesota. Molly O’Brien is a character readers will root for, and her transformation from a woman with insecurities to one who can stand on her own two feet and find love again is inspiring. I fell in love with ‘Love’ – and you will, too.
I enjoyed this book….it flowed with ease, it was a real page turner, and had great characters. It has drama, it has mystery, it has friendships, and it has love. Looking forward to continuing with the series. I recommend this book to all readers, it’s a great beach read.
I was given this book by the author for a honest review….thank you Jill for a afternoon of entertainment.
This is a wonderful story! I really enjoyed reading about Molly and how she worked hard and turned her life around.
Molly goes from a spoiled, pampered girl with a rich boyfriend to a girl learning how to handle love, life, danger, and the ability to support herself. She delves into her past through bits and pieces and with the help of her new friends, she learns much about her Mom and her family history and the secrets kept.
The story begins with Molly being dumped by her boyfriend and she has no choice but to leave town and her former life to take over the old grocery store that her Mom inherited in a little town named LOVE, where her mother grew up. Molly is judged and accepted by many of the small town folk, eventually winning them over and fighting off a dangerous enemy. She is an independent woman and through many struggles, hard work, and determination is able to get herself back on her feet and find the answers she is seeking about her past.
This book has it all…loss, love, redemption, and most of all plenty of heart. Looking forward to Ms. Anderson’s next book!!!
I loved this book!! The main character, Molly, was very likeable and I found myself mentally cheering for her throughout the book. After her boyfriend leaves her with a pile of debt, Molly decides to start over in a quaint little town called Love where she’s inherited an old general store. The story unfolds as Molly starts to build a new life in Love where not all of the residents are happy to have her (her family, primarily her grandfather, has history there…). One resident is especially unhappy that she is there – this part of the story line lends some mystery and danger to the plot, keeping me on the edge of my seat. I had not read the first To-Hell-And-Back club book and that was not a problem as this book can stand alone. However, I enjoyed this book so much that I will definitely be on the lookout for the first one!
A crazy Little Town Called Love is the second book in Jill Hannah Anderson’s To-Hell-And-Back Club Series. Even though this is book #2 it can very well be read as a standalone. This was a great read right from the first page. I sat down planning on only reading for about an hour two hours later I was still engrossed in this book. This book has humor, friendship, drama and keeps you interested. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series. I highly recommend reading this book if you have not yet. You will not be disappointed.
CRAZY LITTLE TOWN CALLED LOVE BY Jill Hannah Anderson is the second book in the author’s The To-Hell-And-Back Club series. I loved THE TO-HELL-AND-BACK CLUB, and couldn’t wait to read the next book. CRAZY LITTLE TOWN CALLED LOVE is a wonderfully-written and captivating story of love, family and second chances. In this book, the main character, Molly, is dumped by her long-time boyfriend, Nick and left with a big mortgage, no furniture and a job that will not allow her to make ends meet. Uprooted and without a real plan for her future, Molly escapes to the small town of Love, Minnesota where her late mother grew up to re-open a quaint general store that her mother mysteriously inherited. Although she tries hard to fit in with the locals, it soon becomes clear that someone in Love does not want her around. The characters are quirky and so well-portrayed that I felt like I knew them all. The plot has just the right amount of mystery and suspense, along with a bit of romance and a big dose of family secrets. I thoroughly enjoyed this charming book with its strong messages of friendship, hope and empowerment. I highly recommend it!
Friendship, support, love, family drama and a dab of mystery all wrapped up in a a small town called Love! Take me there!!
This is a wonderfully beautiful and charming book that HAS IT ALL.
Quirky characters that you feel you know or would know in your own life and the heroine Molly is spunky and determined- and I couldn’t get enough of this story. A page-turning good time.
I related so much with Molly, making her way into a new community after upheaval on every level. I almost felt like I was her while reading, and the author takes you there with her gorgeous storytelling.
Second chances and starting over all in a beautifully written story by an equally beautiful and talented author. I loved this book and give it high recommendations to many readers. It has it all. A beach read, a vacay or staycay book or wrapped up cozy in your favorite reading spot book. It’s a goodie
After having read some intense but good thrillers, I read Crazy Little Town Called Love and found it to be a very enjoyable and refreshing read. I loved Molly’s story of a big-city girl moving to a small town after a heartbreaking end to a seven-year relationship. Deciding to reopen and fix up a general country store inherited by her mother, I applauded her determination in making it a successful business not knowing how the locals would receive her and even after receiving threats for her to leave town. She would not given up. The town indeed sounds quaint with some interesting but fun yearly activities, and the characters were very lovable and quirky. There is some mystery in the story as well as romance that I thought was just right. This is the second book in the To-Hell-And-Back Club series but can definitely be read as a stand-alone, although, I do recommend reading Book 1 because it is just as good! I devoured this book in two days and was sad to have it end. This one should go on everyone’s TBR list.
Jill Hannah Anderson’s Crazy Little Town Called Love captured me from the first pages! Molly’s easy life in the city suddenly takes off in a moving van along with her boyfriend of 6 yrs and she needs to pick up the pieces. Moving to the small town of Love Minnesota to reopen the general store that was left to her mother, Molly tries to put her future back together. But someone in town doesn’t want her there and as Molly’s love for the town and the people in it grows, the threats escalate. Is Molly tough enough to stick it out and make Love her home or will the threats chase her back to the city? The characters are charming, the town is fun and lovable, and the story of Molly’s journey captivating! While you are waiting for this gem’s July publishing date .. read her first book in this series The To Hell and Back Club.. the books reintroduce characters but could easily be stand alones ..
Crazy Little Town Called Love is the first book I have read by Jill Hannah Anderson. It is the second in the Hell and Back Club Series but can be read as a stand alone. First, I want to say I loved this book! It has everything you want in a story. There are interesting characters, drama, friendships, trust, mystery, and romance. Crazy Little Town Called Love had me laughing and at times on the edge of my seat. I am looking forward to the next book in the series. Thank you to Jill Hannah Anderson for an ARC of this book and this is my honest review.
This novel was just as emotional and inspirational as Jill’s novel, The To-Hell-And-Back Club. But Crazy Little Town Called Love is also full of pages of some excitement, surprises, and more. This is club member Molly’s story. Molly’s boyfriend has run out on her. Not long after, Molly decides to move to Love to run an old General Store that her family inherited. Love is a small town full of close knit people and long-standing traditions. As Molly fixes up the store to get ready to open it, she buids a whole new life for herself. Soon, Molly finds out that someone doesn’t want her there, as things start to happen and she is threatened more than once. Will Molly be able to make the store successful and survive in Love? Can she build new friendships and learn to trust again? This novel is about family, friends, and love. It is also about trust, strength, and starting over. The characters are delightful and the storyline flows along with plenty of surprises.
Even though this book is part of a series, it can completely stand by itself. I haven’t read the first one but I read this one with no confusion.
That being said, I loved this book! I loved the suspense, the romance, and especially the characters. I want to live in Love and be friend with Tracie, Charleee,Molly, and Ernie. The quirks that were drawn into this small town really made Love come to life.
This was super fun to read! I loved the town, the characters! Everything!! I want to go back to visit!
I highly recommend “Crazy Little Town Called Love” by Jill Hannah Anderson!
I received this book by the author in exchange for a fair and honest review.
A very refreshing novel set up in a quirky, fun northern town. I enjoyed reading this book because of the “what-if” idea of starting over and taking a different and unimaginable path in life. The novel “Crazy Little Town Called Love” was a delightful, fun adventure.
I felt sad for the main character, Molly, as she deals with the loss of nearly everything. What was she going to do? But, learning her family is willed a general store and home seems the answer to all of Molly’s concerns. But, will the town of Love welcome her? Will she be able to prove, to herself, her family and friends that she can make it on her own? Molly wants to bring the general store back to life in the town of Love but some exhausting challenges make her wonder if she is making the right decision to keep going.
This is my first book by Jill Hannah Anderson and I was highly entertained; not wanting to put the book down. Jill is an excellent author; holding the readers attention in this perfect mystery. I recommend this novel to anyone wanting to escape to a small, crazy town with a little romance and a little danger.
~This book was given to me in a giveaway by the author in exchange for a fair and honest review.~
This was such a outstanding read! Jill Hannah Anderson really did a great job at pulling me right into the story.
I think what I loved most and found relatable was that the main character Molly was a city girl that turned into a small town girl.
Molly needed to start over after her boyfriend dumped her. She needed to find a new town to start over in and that just so happened to be in this wonderful little town called Love. What better name is there than love?
I found this book very entertaining and it kept me turning the pages and I loved watching Molly grow into a strong independent woman. I also loved the friendships that she built along the way.
There is also a bit of mystery in this book that kept me guessing and wanting more.
If your looking for cozy and heartfelt read then this is definitely the book for you!
This is the second book in the series. The first being The Hell-And-Back Club but I was able to read this one as a stand alone just fine. I’m looking forward to reading the first one in the series.
