JamieIt’s not exactly what I’d call the ideal situation—being introduced to your bio-dad’s best mate only to realize he’s the sexy older guy you hooked up with a couple of weeks ago—but it’s also not the worst thing to ever happen in history. The way I see it, this is fate. The universe is throwing Shay Kelly in my path again because it knows how much I’ve been dying for another shag with him.
I … dying for another shag with him.
I have four weeks before I need to go back to London, and I know exactly how I’d like to spend that time. And fortunately for me, Shay’s just as keen for a repeat or ten as I am.
All we need is a few ground rules to keep this little fling in check…
Rule One: It’s temporary
Makes sense—neither of us do the long-term bit. And it’s not like we can continue with this once I move back to London.
Rule Two: No dates, just sex
Easy peasy—sex is the best part of dating anyway.
Rule Three: We keep it between us
Perfect—sneaking around and concocting elaborate lies is a right turn on.
Rule Four: No falling in love
Love? Me? In four weeks? There’s a better chance of me inventing the solution to climate change.
Warning: this book is not appropriate for anyone who doesn’t like laughing, anyone who doesn’t like British slang, and anyone who doesn’t like smokin’ hot older guys and sexy red-haired twinks having lots of sex and trying not to fall in love.

People all over the world have one night stands. It’s not uncommon. Some people actually prefer them. Jamie and Shay are some people, and they enjoyed the heck out of one a few weeks ago…
This is the story of two strangers who had a connection they were unaware of. Did it stop them, once they found out? Nope, but they had rules. You know what theyvsay about rules, though…
I really enjoyed this book. It was sweet, and funny. The text convos amongst the Kelly clan were HILARIOUS. I’m a big fan of witty banter, and this book provided a ton of it.
Thos is book three in the series. I haven’t read the previous books, but I could tell there was some overlap in the storyline with book two and the upcoming book four. It didn’t leave me confused, not having read book one and two, but I got the impression that if I had started with book one, it would have enriched my experience. That said, this could be read as a standalone. If you like slightly forbidden relationships that also includes and age gap, this is a great one to read. Plus, one mc has tattoos.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Man Jamie is a character and I loved how the regifting of Sunny’s Chocolate Cookies ended up spiking Shay as they were actually we*d cookies. Shay and Jamie have a connection right from the start but they both are complete commitmentphobes so they agree to set clear rules that define their arrangement/relationship. The chemistry between these two just pours out, especially in the bedroom,. The group family chats were still probably my favourite parts as they made the characters seem more real and they made me smile and have a wee laugh. I also loved the sibling “intervention” when Shay got all depressed when Jamie left but he couldnt face the truth that he’s actually misses Jamie like crazy, and that he broke rule number 4 and fell in love with him. I’m looking forward to reading the next book as I love this series. I’d recommend this book, series and author to everyone.
Jamie comes from London to New York to meet his father. While in New York he meets up with Shay his fathers best friend. Shay and Blake have been friend for a long time. Shay and Jamie agree to some rules before spending more time together. Jamie is only in the States for a month before he goes back home to London. When it is time for Jamie to say good bye he cannot say it to Shay. Will Shay admit that he loves Jamie? What will happen when Jamie is in London and Shay is in New York? Will Jamie admit he is in love with Shay? How will they work it out in the end?

Crazy Little Fling is the third book in the Love & Luck series by author Isla Olsen. This story is written in dual POV. I honestly did not feet this helped the storyline much. There is age gap romance explored in this story. I felt for the most part this story was okay. There are parts where I thought both MC’s were pretty immature and not in a good way. There is a good story here. I just was not that into the story I got.
Jamie grew up with his mom. She raised him up. He found his father and is going to NY to see him in person.
Shay is Jamie’s Bio dad’s best friend. He is not looking forever, but Jamie is someone he cannot forget.
This is a good story. Good humor in it. There are some great secondary characters as well. I have not read any previous books in this series I was not lost starting here. For me, this was an okay one time read.
Four Twinkling Stars
This was a fun addition to a series I really like. Jamie was cocky and adorable, and Shay was sexy and clueless. They made a great match. I enjoyed the other characters, who were mostly Shay’s family members. The various interactions here were often hysterical. I was rooting for Shay and Jamie from the start; and I loved watching them fall for each other, despite their rules. Great story, excellent series. I can’t wait for more!
Jamie travels to USA to meet his biological father. The night before meeting him he goes out with friends and hooks up with a guy. The guy, Shay, is actually his father’s best friend. Jamie and Shay decide to keep sleeping together until Jamie gets back to England.
I do love a good age gap romance and this one was really good. I thought that the chemistry between Jamie and Shay was great and I really liked them both. Shay is acomic book artist and that just speaks to my heart. I love comic books. The romance was great and the book was fun and fast paced. What I loved the most about it was the family dynamics. Shay’s family was the best and the strong bonds between them made me smile. And Jamie’s Granny is awesome!
I received an ARC of this book for an honest review.
This was fun and entertaining…a real page turner. I absolutely love the Kelly clan. This third book in the series(Shay’s story) didn’t disappoint…I knew I was going to love it!. We were introduced to Jamie(Blake’s son) in the last book Who would have thought that him and Shay(the oldest of the Kelly’s siblings) would be hooking up? Shay and Jamie chemistry was off the charts. It wasn’t awkward that Shay is almost 20 years older than Jamie….not at all. Their relationship despite the “rules” they set was so natural, you forget they were only having fun and nothing serious. When the siblings found out about their arrangement…lets just say that entire chapter of group texting talking about Shay and Jamie was HILARIOUS…the Shay intervention was sweet. I just love this family. Jamie gets a big family and Shay finally finds love. The ending with the multiple epilogues were great and give us a great lead in to the next book in the series. I can’t wait…5 STARS!!!!

Shay and Jamie have a whole bunch of rules and falling in love is definitely one of them. But when Jamie comes to New York to meet his bio Dad he finds a hookup allot of family and a not so one night stand who turns out to be his dads bestfriend Shay. Jamie’s dad Blake has his own secrets namely hes gay too and his boyfriend is Shay’s younger brother Owen but know one has found out but it doesn’t take Jamie long to figure it out.
Owen has a big family a good job and plays rugby for fun he also has allot of one night stands what he didn’t see coming was his bestfriend Blake’s son Jamie now after one night ever chance they get they spend together then life throws Shay a curve ball his nephew needs him now hes saying goodbye to Jamie who’s headed back to England and raising his 16 year old nephew he never new what love was but without Jamie hes miserable and it takes his family and friends to show him he needs to tell Jamie how he feels and to write a new set of rules.

Jamie travels to America from Britain to meet his bio dad for the first time. At his dad’s he meets his bestfriend Shay who happens to be the an older man he had a one night stand one night. Both decide that once wasn’t enough and they pick up where they left off while keeping their attraction mostly a secret from family and friends. With a few weeks before Jamie returns to the UK, they decide to continue seeing each other.
This was a fun hot sexiness, age gap, dad’s best friend story. I definitely recommend this book!

**The really hot hookup just became…complicated!
Jamie (cute little redhead) and Shay (comic writer) meet at a club. Shay sees the hot little redhead and knows he has what he wants for the night. Both men establish this is a hook up but can’t keep their minds off what happened and one another after the fact.
Neither expect to ever meet again, then it happens. Weeks later, Shay is invited to the lake house of a friend, where he sees Jamie again. Another hitch, he turns out to be the best friend’s son!
Circumstances of living on two different continents make it easier to have a little fun..again, before going back to their separate lives. Having those pesky ‘friendly relations’ rules didn’t make much of a difference. Eventually, the heart wants what the heart wants.
Will these two make this work? Can things get messy? What about family? Work?
Lots of humor, denial, romance, flirting, and an HEA to envy.

I love a good romance series that follows a large family of siblings, and this one doesn’t disappoint. My only complaint with this particular installment in the series is that so much of the timeline overlapped with the last one that some scenes were breezed over to continue on to new information. What a great big Irish family to ride along with, though, and I definitely want to get in on their group texts 🙂
I loved this story. It is the kind that you can identify with the characters and immerse yourself in the story. Very well written and characters to win the heart make this book a must read.

This is the third novel in the Love and Luck series and once again we are submersed into another Kelly love story! Shay Kelly is a comic strip artist and decides to let loose one night and ends up taking a cute redhead to his bed. Shay is drawn to the man and Jamie loves the art Shay is currently working on. After their spontaneous hook-up, neither man expects to see each other again but both of them can’t get the other out of their head. Lucky for them Shay’s best friend, Blake invites him up to his lake house for a relaxing weekend, and to meet his son. Neither Shay nor Jamie expected to see the other at Blake’s lake house, especially for Shay to find out that Jamie is Shay’s best friend’s son. Needless to say this romance just got a lot more complicated, especially because one hook-up, turned to two and it seems like neither has plans of stopping anytime soon.
Shay Kelly has made multiple appearances in the previous two books, so it is amazing to see the man behind the character and for him to finally find love. Jamie first appeared in the last novel as Shay’s best friend’s new-found son. Needless to say their coupling would make things somewhat awkward but I loved it! I really liked how the author included the lakehouse scene in this novel from Shay’s and Jamie’s POV’s since in the previous book we got it from Blake and Owen’s POV. This novel was full of chemistry and I really loved the two man together. I cannot wait to read about the next Kelly falling in love!
I really liked reading about Shay, the oldest Kelly, and Jamie, son of his best friend Blake. The tropes in this book include age gap and dating dad’s best friend. I really love the way this author writes dialogue and how she is able come up with some much great banter between so many characters. I love the scenes in this book as well and you can definitely feel that chemistry between the two characters. I also like how this author has intertwined all of the storylines. I would highly recommend reading books 1 and 2 because this is really intertwined with the other two books. I feel that this author does a great job of intertwining multiple story lines as well. The is a great read and great series from a newer author. I am looking forward to the next one!
This was such a great read. I really do love the Kelly Bunch. They are all a super riot. I loved Shay getting his HEA and finding out what it means to find love and the one who makes you whole. I loved their banter and loved how the author made just about everything with them super cute and hot at the same time. Shay was so funny with his what is love thing but him and Jamie got it right. This was just the cutest May/December

I loved this story! Jamie came to New York for a visit and to possible meet his biological father. He goes to a club with friends and meets Shay. They have a great night together then part ways. Fast forward a few weeks Jamie meets his dad and finds Shay, his dads’ best friend. There’s chemistry between the two. They keep up with meeting up but decide on rules. Of coarse rules are made to be broken. This was such a funny, steamy story! Loved it, definitely recommend!

Crazy Little Thing by Isla Olsen is the third book in the Love & Luck series. This is a hilarious and fun contemporary m/m romance with an age gap and a best friend’s son theme. These characters, both main and secondary, are great – Jamie and Shay are sweet, sexy, funny and just the sort of characters that make you smile while you read. The book is well written and entertaining – funny, sweet, with just a hint of angst. I am loving this series.
Distracted texting
I really need to meet the Kelly’s and Granny. They have so much fun, cause chaos and end up in the most interesting situations. Even better, most of the time, they’re not even trying to, cookies, anyone? It must be the genes or something. “He’s my last thought at night and my first thought in the morning. And a million times throughout the day.” Jamie and Shay sizzle but I enjoyed their witty dialogue the most, especially the rules, swoon. Both Shay and Jamie excel at denial but it only added to my reading entertainment. Another hilarious addition to a fantastic series and I’m happy there will be more.
Shay and Jamie, a hot one night stand that turns into more with secrets included. This is a light hearted read with little angst and great characters both main and supporting. Looking forward to reading the rest of the series.
Crazy Little Fling is the 3rd book in Ms Olsen’s Love & Luck series but can be read as a standalone. I would however suggest that you read Fake it ‘til You Make Out and Virtually Screwed as characters from both books are entwined in this book.
Book 3 follows Shay Kelly’s story. Shay and Jamie were supposed to be a one-night stand; however, an unexpected encounter throws them back into each other’s path. With a few weeks before Jamie returns to the UK, they decide to continue seeing each other. They have put in place a set of rules to protect themselves, and their hearts.
Crazy Little Fling is a well-written, funny book. I loved both main characters and enjoyed seeing previous couples as well.
Thoroughly enjoyed this book!! Can’t wait for the next in this series!!
