Claire Daniels is good at a lot of things, but dating isn’t one of them. Although she enjoys men of all different shapes, colors, and sizes, she has one requirement: they must have a job on her approved-occupation list. It has to be safe, so they can come home every night, which means no cops, pilots, doctors, ranchers, and absolutely no firefighters. She’s kept to her rules thus far—as long as … far—as long as you ignore the tiny crush she has on Trevor Allen, a crush that cannot move toward anything physical because Trevor is a firefighter and a rancher. Not to mention, he’s four years younger than she is and the brother of her two best friends.
Still, it sure would be nice to have him put out her fire.
Trevor Allen also has a few rules when it comes to Claire Daniels: no staring, flirting, smokin’ hot fantasies, or touching of any kind. He’s been lusting after Claire his whole life, but with a steady stream of willing women and two demanding jobs to hold his attention, he’s somehow managed to keep his hands off her.
Until they end up in a bathroom together—a small bathroom with very little room to move, leaving him pressed against Claire’s lush curves. What’s he supposed to do when she looks up at him with those big, green doe eyes and licks her lips? The only thing he can do: kiss the hell out of her, then convince her it can’t happen again.
Too bad he can’t convince himself.

I so enjoyed the first book in this series of stand-alones and this one was pretty good as well. Trevor and Claire have known each other forever. Like with any small town, there aren’t really any strangers, but they were even closer because Trevor’s twin older brothers (including Rhett who book 1 was about) were best friends with Claire and her best friend (Monroe – Rhett’s girlfriend) so they’ve hung out a lot.
I thought the story moved a little slow and Claire was back and forth entirely too much, but I did enjoy it over all. The best line in this book came from Trevor’s mom:
“It’s not about being relationship material. It’s about finding your other half – the one person who makes you smile and laugh, who’s there for you when you’re down and picks you back up. The person who makes you want to be better and do better. Your father is my person, and I know there’s someone out there for each of my children.”
Regardless, I am eager to read more of the Dirty Dick’s series and can’t wait to see how the other Allen kids get their HEAs.
This series has me totally head over heals for it! I adored Claire and Trevor’s story.
They have been friends for a lot of years, but Trevor has never given into his temptation to pursue Claire knowing her feeling about firefighters and needing to find someone safe. Claire has tried to play it safe when it comes to dating, but she has always had a thing for Trevor. When they both give into their feelings, their passion combusts!
I loved watching these two figure out their relationship and where things were headed. My heart broke for both of them at different times in the story and then cheered them on. I love this crazy town! I loved catching up with Mo and Rhett and the animal shelter (one of my favorite things about this series!). Such a good read! I can’t wait for the third book!
The Allen brothers are back and hotter than ever. Literally. Trevor, the smokin’ hot fireman, has long harbored a crush on Claire but never did anything about it. Guilt has a funny way of making you want to deny the things you want. Even if it’s unwarranted.
I’m going to take a moment to brag on Claire because she was awesome. I loved her boldness and bravery. Her loyalty to her friends, job and family. Her kindness. That’s not to say life has been easy for her. It hadn’t. She suffered a tremendous loss at a tender age that shaped the decisions she made. And how her heart suffered for it.
The push and pull between Claire and Trevor had me on the edge of my device. I kept thinking- this is the moment they finally give into what they both want. NOPE! Try again later. But the anticipation- was so worth the wait. Insert the swoooooooooooon. When Trevor broke it down for Claire all the things he remembered- I truly felt myself melt. But when Trevor’s job comes calling, it brings all of Claire’s biggest fears to the forefront of her mind.
I enjoyed getting to catch up with Rhett and Mo. Their lives were all intertwined- friends, brothers- things got a little messy. It’s no secret that I love me a man in uniform and Crazy Sexy Love gave me that with a healthy dose of heat and humor too. K.L. Grayson gave me a friends to lovers romance checked every box and left me wanting more.
So damn good!! This Kristen Proby Crossover Series is just perfect! This is my first Samantha Young book and I’m now planning on reading the rest of the books in the Play On Series too!
If you love Samantha Young and her Play On series, read this! There are some sweet scenes with Killian and Skylar and it makes me so excited to read their book.
If you are, like me, a true Kristen Proby fan you’ve got to read this one!! We all love the King Men and all things Cunningham Falls, and you get all of that goodness in this one.
New fan alert!!
I am really enjoying this series! I absolutely loved Trevor! And I love a romance between an older woman and younger man (although the age difference wasn’t significant- 4 years- it’s still nice to read about). I understood Claire’s insecurities, espeically with dating a firefighter. I loved the conflict about their pasts, and how Trevor and Claire dealt with their guilt toward each other.
I very much loved this book- and I’m looking forward to reading the rest of the books in the Dirty Dicks series!
Oh, I am loving the Dirty Dick’s series. Claire and Trevor’s book was perfect. You can’t help but love watching them together and FINALLY give into the fact that they love each other and have for a while. Did they have their ups and downs? Yes, but they were so cute togther. Claire didn’t make it easy for Trevor, at all. First she’s his older brother’s best friend which could make it awkward, second, she’s older than him so he’s nervous. But the thing is, they are friends, they have a strong chemistry and their attraction that doesn’t stop.
I think these two characters, Claire and Daniel, are my two favorites from this author to date. I can’t wait for more!
4.5 Hot Bull Rider Stars! Another great read by KL Grayson. A second chance romance that’s full of a sexy cowboy, a selfless heroine and their off the charts chemistry with a bit of angst. Forgiving the past and choosing your future. It will definitely hook you from the start and you will devour it. Can’t wait for the next book in this series!! Highly recommend this book.
Crazy Hot Love (Book 2 of the Dirty Dicks Series) is a stand alone, but also a continuation of Crazy Sexy Love. This is the story of Trevor and Clair, but all the fun characters that we enjoyed in Crazy Sexy Love are so much a part of this story!
There is so much fun, laughter and love to the story line, but it also brings awareness to the need to talk. Get things off your chest. Share your fears and concerns, either with a family member, friend, or a therapist. Don’t keep it bottled up.
The characters were so much fun! I loved the friendships between the gang that would meet at Dirty Dicks! Their parents were all fun too! Key word to this story is FUN!
