** spoiler alert ** Zoe has had to work for everything she has. Mike is used to the life of luxury. One chance meeting changes their paths. Will she let him in? Will Mike prove he is more than family money?
I was excited to read this book after reading the first one in the series and it didn’t disappoint. I loved how there was a lot more to Mike than what you would think at first glance. I didn’t blame Zoe for being hesitant given her past, but loved to see her slowly let her walls down. Good read!
This was another great book in this series. The author does an incredible job of drawing the reader into the story. The story itself was heartwarming, sexy, cynical/realistic and heartbreaking. The scene were Zoe gives Mike the watch had me blubbering like a baby. The characters were well developed and showed emotional growth through the course of the story. After reading the first book I never in a million years thought I would not only come to care about Mike but would be routing for him to succeed and get the girl. Highly recommend.
Mike and Zoe met in the ER when she was attending his wounds. They meet again when she is leaving a bar and is upset with the man that has caused her distress. Mike steps in and their journey begins. Zoe is skeptical and wary when it comes to wealthy men and let’s her views be known to Mike. He is a little upset to say the least because he comes from a wealthy background. Can Zoe put those fears aside to take a chance for a happily ever after with Mike? This story draws you in and have you in their corners cheering them on to make it to a happily ever after. I voluntarily greed to receive an ARC of this book for an honest review.
I really enjoyed reading this book and it kept me thoroughly entertained from start to finish.
I enjoyed this story. Zoe and Mike were instant steam, but both kept their secrets. Zoe was a strong and determined woman, loyal to family, and able to look beyond her past. Mike had his differences with his family as he worked on his path through life. As the few curves that were thrown at them arose, it was honesty and love that helped them through. At the end, I still had some questions, but maybe they will be answered in the next book.
I received a copy of this story through Candid Book Reviews, and this is my unsolicited review.
“Do you have any idea what an amazing woman you are?”
Mike Daughtry is still nursing his wounded heart the first time he meets Zoe Inglot in the ER however; the second time they meet its Zoe is ready to swear off all rich men. Knowing that Mike decides to be less then truthful with exactly who he is. Mike works part time for his family business but his real passion lies with MMA and for the time being his family is letting him spend his time there however, they expect him to come back into the fold of the family business soon. Zoe having been raised by a single mother wants to make sure that both her and her sister take the path of getting an education and a solid job before she even thinks about starting a family.
Sometimes even the best laid plans can take a detour and for Zoe that detour is named Mike Daughtry with his sexy smile and incredible body that is too hard not to stare at let alone resist. I really liked Mike and Zoe together and Mike was unbelievably sweet which had you rooting for Zoe to give him a chance. Zoe is such a strong woman that is so caring and would do anything for her family even sacrificing her future to make sure her sisters had a chance at a good education. If your looking for a sweet romance full of loving characters then this might just be the book for you.
“I’m scared shitless. But being with you makes me feel like anything is possible.”
First, I want to thank Annabeth Saryu for providing me this book so I may give you this review.
Crazy Hearts is the second book in Annabeth Saryu’s Hearts So Fine series. This book does not have to be read as part as a series as it is a Standalone book. I did however read the first book and I can tell you that you don’t need to read the first book.
This book series is part of the MMA martial arts series. However, you don’t have to be interested in MMA or know anything about the sport. This book mostly is focused on the romance and getting her sister through college.
I loved how Mike and Zoe met at the hospital by fate. They had their ups and downs but it was getting better. Their sexual chemistry was off he charts .
I loved how Chloe had a sister named Zoe.
