The book has a quirky heroine who is not above bedazzling her way through life, even though she can’t seem to pretty-up her past, and an ex-uptight hero who learns to laugh all while breaking his number one rule—no more women. Meredith is home again, ready to settle down in her small town and open the antique shop she’s always dreamed of owning. She’s had enough of powerful men trying to use her … had enough of powerful men trying to use her and wants to simply fade away from the dating scene and enjoy life. When she runs into the diner’s new owner, she quickly realizes her master plan might have been premature.
Landry left life in the fast lane for life on Main Street. He’s sworn off women for a while. They’re nothing but trouble. Meredith is no exception. In fact, he’s pretty sure she’s not quite right in the head, but for some reason he gets her offbeat, whimsical behavior and craves it, not to mention she’s smokin’ hot and oozes sex appeal.
It’s hard to fight nature’s pull even while chanting, “I’ve sworn off women.”

Crazy for you is one of them stories that goes to show that True love always wins. Meredith was a quirky girl who look at life and it’s ups and down in an offbeat kind. When she decides to move home after living it up in the city with a great job of 5 years she needs a change .One of the first places she goes is the diner she worked in growing up only to find it had a new owner a very hunky owner only one problem she was done with men for now .Landry was the new owner who after many years of a great job which left him set for life needed a change. Landry had sworn off women but when he meets Meredith and the two become great friends the feels the both have for one another develop in to more then friendship.Things take a turn when they act on it and people and secrets from the past come to light .Will the friendship survive or will they part ways.
Meredith returns to her hometown after leaving her antiques job in the city. After another run n with her boss, who wants her to be more than his assistant. Why can’t he just be her friend? That’s all she ever wanted from him. She didn’t lead him on like the other gold-digging bimbos!! Now she’s back living with her dad temporarily whilst she sets up her own store. Her over-protective brother is the local sheriff and he’s keeping a close eye on her. Mer is known for living in her own little bubble of reality.
When she meets Landry, the new owner of the towns diner, it’s like having a new instant best friend. They just click and even better he has sworn off women!
Landry moved from the city to this small town to find himself and learn to be happy without the cut and thrust of the business world. He loves being around Mer, but she is constantly pushing his buttons and his ethos of swearing off women becomes his mantra when dealing with the very appealing Mer.
No spoilers here but I will say this is not your average rom-com book! Yes there are heavy dosed of fun and comedy but there are real heart-wrenching moments when we see what Mer has been through. How she was still standing I’ll never know. I dare you not to loathe her ex by the end of the book! I will mention that the mosaic in her kitchen had me in tears!! There is a real sense of serendipity in the book and we see how some of the characters have met (or almost met) at major points in their lives.
Sexy scenes, pub brawls and sarky best friends, this book has it all!!
I loved this story. It starts out kinda of differently just like our main character. I fell in love with Meredith immediately. She is very intelligent, quirky and has a heart of gold. She has had many bad things happen to her in her life but still goes out of her way to make sure everyone she loves is happy.
We meet Landry in the diner and he is the new owner. He immediately is in sync with her oddities and the are instantly comfortable with each other. He does make me mad a few times by the mixed signals he keeps sending to Meredith but he is a good guy.
You are pulled in to their world and want to be a part of it. It makes you laugh, cry, and some times scream. I would love to see where she goes with this world and would love to see Samson, Tasha and Jeremy’s stories.
This is a phenomenal read! I had no idea one of my favorite authors had a pen name, this is TOTALLY different from what she normally writes. One thing that isn’t different is the quality of the writing. It pulls you in from the first sentence and makes you feel every emotion, sometimes simultaneously! It has copious amounts of humor and snark, a good bit of romance, and is all around entertaining. Lol, I am trying to not give any spoilers so I will just say that this is an incredible feel good story that will leave you looking for more!! Thank you for this gem!
Talk about meant to be together!
Though heartaches, broken dreams and life’s tragedies, the human spirits resilience is truly amazing!
Meredith quits her job and moves back home for a new start. Leaving behind a boss that won’t take no for an answer. She wants to be her own boss, in business and life and makes all the moves to do so.
Landry is the new owner of the small town cafe. He has sworn off women, that is until he meets Meredith. Her ‘natural allure’ and fun loving attitude pull him in from the first time they meet. (loved the peepshow)
I love reading a book that can take my emotions and make me feel right along with the characters.
The h comes off as this fun-loving free spirit but, the things in her past make you realize that although some of it is a cover-up of emotions, she is an example of what the human spirit can endure and survive it, coming out stronger on the other side. The story about the red back-splash had me reaching for the tissue. The bejeweled hammer, too funny.
Landry comes off as a jerk on more then one occasion (i almost didn’t like him) but he redeems himself.
I have to say, Phillip, , , A**hole!
HEA. Funny. Sexy. Unpredictable.
I thoroughly enjoyed this story! Meredith is a quirky, eccentric woman who as the story progresses we learn has survived much in her relatively young years. Landry is the new in town diner owner that has a past of his own. When their paths collide they both struggle to put the past behind and become the couple they are destined to be. I have read works by this author under a number of her pen names and this is one of her contemporary works. I enjoyed the writing style, the development of the characters and plot. While I have not embraced much of her early work, this book was wonderful to read.
Completely adorable! The witty back and forth banter of this book had me smiling all the way through. It wasn’t all rainbows and sunshine but such a sweet small town story. It will make you tearyeyed, mad as hell but then it makes you laugh and say awwwweee. Seriously a great romance that I could to totally see as rom com movie or tv show! I absolutely adored the main charcter and love that some got her! She’s eccentric, fun and loves with her whole heart and that kitchen backsplash was freaking awesome!
Amazing read! So beautiful and such lovely characters! I laughed and I cried, boy did I cry, with all the turmoil and past dramas of all the characters! But such a beautiful ending that I even cried at that!
Best book I’ve read in a long time!! I fell in love with the town, the character’s, the writing style and every other thing in this book. This story pulled on all the emotions. I’m not a writer, so my reviews are always in terms of what I thought of the book, not a book report, the author can tell you about the book summery better than I can. What I can say is that if you like humor and romance, you do NOT want to miss this book. Such an awesome story, I did not want it to end.
