USA Today Bestselling author Adriana Locke brings laughter and love in this friends-to-lovers, small town romance. Love is crazy.Peck Ward, the sweet, small-town mechanic, isn’t sure it’s for everyone. Least of all him. His life is chaotic enough without adding the pressure of a relationship. Besides, unrequited love is a real thing and he’s kind of over it.This works out perfectly until a … works out perfectly until a certain someone throws a wrench–pun intended–into his plans. As they go from adversaries to friends to possibly something more, things get complicated. After all, they know how this story ends. It’s not with them together.
His easy grin is enough to win her over. Her unabashed personality does him in. But are they ready to accept the fact that sometimes you don’t find love where you’re looking for it? Sometimes you find it in the most unexpected, craziest places.

Adriana Locke, the things you do to me!! I have been not so patiently waiting for Peck’s book since like forever! No really, I’m serious! From the bits we have seen of Peck in past books, I knew I needed this fun, loving, full of life man to get his happily ever after and I couldn’t wait to see who it would be with. There’s only so long you can do the “not dating” thing and not eventually cave into a woman right?
Peck’s heroine came literally storming into his life and I LOVED every second of it. This woman is a spitfire and his match in so many ways. I truly could not put this book down. Adriana has this way of making her characters so relatable, so likable, so humorous, but real and the way her words flow on these pages just draw you in from beginning to end. You can tell when a writer puts their hearts and souls on the pages and she does that. It truly shows. I am so satisfied with the way Peck’s story went and lets face it everyone needs a Peck in their life.
I could write a million spoilers about why I absolutely adored this book, but I refuse to ruin this for anyone. Seriously, if you have been following this series, get this book! If you haven’t been following this series then what exactly are you waiting for? It is truly that EPIC! This one is going to stick with me for a very long time. Crazy is my personal TOP READ OF 2019! Job well done!!
It seems like I’ve been waiting forever for Peck’s book. Although it hasn’t been forever. I’ve been wanting Peck’s “crazy” story since I read the first of the Gibson series.
Peck is starting to feel the want to settle down. All is cousins are finding their ‘one”. He has his house, a good job. He’s ready to find and provide for that one special person.
She (no names because I’m leaving no spoilers) has always just wanted to be loved. That’s what got her into this situation. Peck is obviously good looking, but they are perfect as friends, right? No need to cross that line and she doesn’t need anyone to take care of her. Or does she?
Adriana Locke has done such a great job of keeping us looking forward to seeing who Peck will end up with. You won’t be disappointed.
I love a good small-town romance, and Adriana Locke does them so well. I haven’t read all the books in The Gibson book series (I need to rectify that asap) but the ones I have read, Peck has always been the guy that’s caught my attention the most. I couldn’t wait to read his book and I enjoyed it so much!
Peck was an absolute gem. The best part of this book and lived up to all my expectations. I loved how sweet, caring, and fun loving he was. His relationship with his Nana was my favorite thing and I loved how he was there for everyone in his life. He’s got a lot of friends and family he loves, but there’s been no one he’s truly given his heart to. Finding that love was a beautiful thing!
For now I know the author wants to keep the heroines identity a secret, so this review is a little on the short and sweet side, but I was so happy with how this book turned out! I loved the hero, loved the heroine, and loved the friendship/family dynamic. I can’t wait to go back and catch up on the other Gibson books I’ve missed out on! If you’re looking for a small town, sexy and sweet romance, pick this book up!!
Let’s just start out with I love Peck Ward. I feel like his character has been the most real and believable and relatable character throughout the whole Gibson series.
And I also want to say that I love AL and everything she how writes and I will always one click and read everything she puts out.
“Why is there a nana? In a bar?”
I fell in love with Nana even more this book. I loved seeing the relationship between Peck and Nana because I think I always felt they were the closest. (& now we know why!)
But…Peck has been the most anticipated character through this whole series. I think everyone has been waiting for him to have his HEA, and while I am so happy it happened, and I really did like his better half and all of their banter, I just felt like something was missing. I got lost somewhere in the book and it took a few chapters to pull me out and eventually pick up. I just couldn’t follow the character development. I really liked the heroine, but it’s like she was just kinda thrown into the book and it was expected for us to like whoever Peck chooses. Then, the storyline itself happened way too fast. I know these books normally take place in a short time, but this time it just wasn’t enough time for me to fall in love with the story.
I wanted more Peck-ism’s. I wanted more interaction with the Gibson clan. Peck was such an integral part in all of their books and I feel like they were an afterthought here.
Hopefully, we will get to see more of them in the future (cough*Blair*cough).
”Because this time,it is different. But it’s us. And it’ll always be a little crazy”
I LOVE PECK WARD! I love and adore him so much it hurts.I loved seeing things from his perspective and getting to know him better. I had a huge smile on my face the whole time and I laughed so much while I was reading this book, but I already knew that I would. Peck has been one of my favorite characters for a long time and I never waited and wanted to read book as badly as this one. I loved him while I was reading other books from the series but I love him even more now. I loved Crazy from first to last page, every single chapter. The only problem I had with it is that it isn’t longer. I didn’t think I would love any girl that Peck ended up with(because he is mine) but surprisingly I did. I won’t talk about her because I don’t want to spoil this book for other people but I loved her a lot and I love that Machlan now has to yell at one more person to get off his bar. I can’t wait to read more about this family, more about Navie(I love her so much) Vincent and Blaire. I love the Gibson boys so, so much and I still think Nana is one of the greatest characters ever. I cannot recommend this series and this book enough. Crazy can be read as standalone but I would recommend reading all the other books in the series before.
”He’s like sunshine he makes you feel good”
Oh Peck. Peck, Peck, Peck… we waited for you, and you didn’t disappoint.
I don’t know how she keeps doing it, but Adriana Locke keeps bringing us books and characters that we will remember forever. No one does small town love like she does, and very few can bring swoon together with nuggets of wisdom and insight.
Crazy is the fourth title in The Gibson Boys series, and like many others I was eagerly awaiting the release of this title. If you love a small town romance with strong themes of family and friendship, The Gibson Boys is the series for you.
Peck Ward is nothing if not loyal, he’s been friends with Molly since they were children and is determined to have her back and tells anyone willing to listen that one day he will marry her. Peck is such a big hearted hero. In the previous titles he came across as the life of the party, full of cheekiness and a bit of a clown, but underneath the outgoing exterior is a vulnerable and insecure hero. You can’t help but love this sweet, kind, caring and compassionate hero.
Peck’s love interest is his perfect match, she has her own baggage, insecurities and vulnerabilities, but is also very loyal, fiesty and sweet.
Much like the previous titles in the series, Crazy is full of heat, heart and humor and has banter that is both witty and fun.
Whilst I throughly enjoyed this emotional and fun, small town romance I really wanted to see a bit more of the development of this pairs relationship and feel like we need to see more of these characters in the future. I look forward to seeing where Adriana Locke takes us next!
Crazy is amazing. Peck is wonderful and loving and unpredictable. Adriana made us wait but it was worth the wait. She puts it all in this book and you will not be disappointed. I dont want to give anything away you have to find out who he gets with by one clicking and reading for yourself lol.
Peck is my kind of CRAZY!
If you are like most… You have been waiting for Peck’s book ever since you read Crank! He has been the goofy, crazy, shoulder to cry on for his cousins & even their loves! He is the one you turn to when you are trying to find the right thing to do (even though most people would think he would be the last!)
Peck deserved love… He needed love… And we all had an idea of who that love should or should NOT be!
This is the one book you HAVE to read to find out who he ends up with. And you will definitely enjoy the journey that Adriana Locke takes you on!
While the Gibson Boys series is clearly a Must-Read, every character calls to you, but Crazy shows why Peck is more like the glue to the bunch and his CRAZY heart is well worth the wait!
I think every firecracker needs someone fo light their fuse for them to really glow”
I love all of them Gibson men, but I have a soft spot for Peck. I enjoyed Pecks book.
Peck Gibson has a story to tell, he has layers of love that we didn’t even know till now. This book was beautifully written for him. We all went a little crazy for Crazy waiting for its release, but let me tell you the wait was perfect. The gal he ends up with is truly the gal for him, they are perfect and in unison of their love and respect.
“If you love someone, you can’t live without them”

I feel like this was my most anticipated book of the year, and it certainly didn’t disappoint!! I have been a Peck fan since he was introduced in the first Gibson boys book! His hilarious antics and mischievous charm reeled me in right away and I have been waiting for his story ever since. It. Was. Everything. I was so thrilled with who he ended up with, I adored her from the beginning of the book and her feistiness just got better as the story went on! Also…Nana. I mean what more is there to say, that little lady is quite possibly one of my favorite characters ever! I am looking forward to more from this family
“He faces me head-on. It doesn’t feel awkward like it can sometimes when a guy is leaving after dinner. It feels like I’ve known him forever. Yet when I think about it, I really know nothing about him. I have the comfort level with Peck to ask him whatever I want–for him to offer to help me move — but have all these questions I’m curious to have answered. So odd. And so great too.”
I have been half in love with Peck since the first Gibson Boys story. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve fallen a little in love with every one of the boys as I read their stories, but there was always something about Peck that remained in my heart … maybe he’s taking cues from Linc & inserting himself EVERYWHERE? When it came time for Peck’s story, I honestly wasn’t sure if I was ready. I didn’t want to have his whole story in front of me and then have to watch it end.
Let me say, I definitely didn’t get what I was looking for in this story … I got more. Peck was everything I hoped for and some things I’d never imagined. He’s the fun-loving, outgoing, and somewhat mischievous man we all knew, but he was so much deeper than I’d ever dreamed he would be. Within all his shenanigans, Peck was utterly … good. “He’s … like sunshine. He makes you feel good.” He gives himself in ways I never thought he would have in him.
This story truly gives us the heart of Peck. His love story is one that shows the uncertainty of relationships and the easily broken foundation of trust. It gives a raw look at not only matters of the heart, but how much our past can affect our reactions. There were a couple of moments when Navie really hit me with the hard truths and offered some real life perspective.
Also, how could we have a Gibson story without Nana? She is the backbone to these boys, and I loved getting more of her and seeing herself without apology.
*sighs* I love being with these boys. They remind me of home, love, and just … real.
I will rate every Gibson Boys book a 5 star because they are worth it. I love this family, the characters, the writing and the storylines. I love everything about this series and the Landry family series, because of the love and chaos and humor and the drama.
Peck is the epitome of the perfect man. He makes me laugh and he is all about family. But more importantly he is all about being in love. Dylan is perfect for him and Peck is perfect for her.
This is a must read. I did voluntarily review this book from the author, but I also purchased it as well. It’s a one-click-right-now kind of book.
I had been looking forward to getting to know Peck in-depth after meeting him in the Gibson Boys series. He was always a hoot- super goofy, very flirty, and loyal to his rowdy family. It was great to see him form a bond with someone. I loved that Nana was featured so much in Crazy- she is such a big part of the family she’s always got the best advice for the boys.
Holy wow Adriana!!! I’d been waiting on Peck’s book from the very beginning and it didn’t disappoint!!
He’s exactly like what I thought he’d be like.
Peck is hung up Molly and has been since they were little. Problem is Molly doesn’t want him like that.
Until a certain firecracker comes to town, Peck still follows Molly around like a little lost puppy dog.
She is fierce, independent, and has been through Hell and back. Last thing she needs is a little craziness caused by Peck.
Peck invites her on the bar to dance, and it’s an explosion of everything up there. Peck being Peck, and her needing a place to stay, invites her to stay at his house. Talk about CRAZY!!
One thing leads to another, and BAM! Molly comes running back to Peck. Talk about a buzzkill!
Just the storyline, the characters, and more characters are introduced to the clan.
I love the nickname that Peck gives her too. Hawkeye!! Cracks me up!
Adriana, I love your writing and your stories, please keep them coming!!
My fave quotes from the book:
1. “I’m righting wrongs over here, not….lining up dongs.” – ROFL!!!!
2. “Everything happened so fast that when I had a second to look up, I realized you could have been a serial killer, and all I had was this saltshaker.” – CRACKED ME UP!
3. “I think every firecracker needs someone to light their fuse for them to really glow.” – SO TRUE!
4. “What do you think?” That you are delicious. – Me too honey me too!
5. But if I do, Walker will get involved, and we’ll all die. – YEP! Don’t want Walker getting involved in a fight!
Peck’s story is most definitely the best of the Gibson Boys Series. His story is brilliantly epic. It’s full of family and friends, a little bit of angst, a few emotional tears, laughter and lots of love. This mechanic has completely stolen my heart! Shhh, don’t tell the other Gibson boys that! I won’t give spoilers, but highly recommend that fellow readers one-click this novel. You definitely won’t be disappointed and I encourage you to have a box of Kleenex nearby.
I thought this was a good read! I haven’t read the others in this series (I know! I’m going to do that now 🙂 ), but I didn’t feel lost reading this one. The writing flowed well, and I liked Peck and Dylan together. Although I usually like my leading men to be a little more “alpha” Peck was a good guy with a good heart. I did get annoyed at Dylan for doing what she did, and then 2 hours later being like “maybe I shouldn’t have done that”. Well duh! Molly was annoying, even though her backstory was sad. She was an adult, and chose how she treated people. The secondary characters were great, and I loved Nana. She had really good advice. After everything was finished, I was happy to see Peck and Dylan get their HEA.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book.
It’s hard to write a spoiler free review for this book. It was so anticipated and highly debated in her reader group. I have to say that I’m pretty happy with who the h turned out to be, she was firey, sweet and funny. I was concerned for Nana’s health, and I still am a little, we all know Adriana Locke’s not afraid to kill a character. Peck’s devotion to his friends (one in particular) was amazing and baffling at the same time. I’m not in the habit of leaving bad reviews or pointing out flaws in books (unless it’s a giant plot hole), I know that the release of Crazy was pushed back a couple of weeks, but it almost felt as though it needed a little more plot development and editing, maybe my expectations were super high because of all of the hype in her reader group. It by no means was not a good book, it absolutely was, it just wasn’t what I was expecting. It’s still a great addition to the series, and I’m excited to see someone else get their hea.
Welp, you did it, Adriana. You have successfully made me fall for Peck. I was one of the few that was really looking forward to the story just to see how you went about it, who Peck would end up with, and get more of the Gibson family antics….NOT because I was already in love with Peck. However, you did it. I am now absolutely IN LOVE with Peck. 100%. No question about it. SO in love with him.
WONDERFUL BOOK. WONDERFUL WRITING. WONDERFUL STORY. WONDERFUL WORDS. I actually have more highlighted passages than I normally do!
GREAT JOB!!!!! And thank you for continuing to write such great stories. You are a truly phenomenal author!
