USA Today Bestselling author Adriana Locke brings laughter and love in this friends-to-lovers, small town romance. Love is crazy.Peck Ward, the sweet, small-town mechanic, isn’t sure it’s for everyone. Least of all him. His life is chaotic enough without adding the pressure of a relationship. Besides, unrequited love is a real thing and he’s kind of over it.This works out perfectly until a … works out perfectly until a certain someone throws a wrench–pun intended–into his plans. As they go from adversaries to friends to possibly something more, things get complicated. After all, they know how this story ends. It’s not with them together.
His easy grin is enough to win her over. Her unabashed personality does him in. But are they ready to accept the fact that sometimes you don’t find love where you’re looking for it? Sometimes you find it in the most unexpected, craziest places.

So far I’ve loved every single book Locke has published but at the moment, I’m taking this rating as a personal achievement. I’ve found that, for me, it is important, as a reader, to not like a book written by my favourite author.
I love the Gibson Boys and each boy is my favourite for very different reasons and I love them in my way. Wesley Ward a.k.a Peck Ward was my favourite because of his constant happy nature and that cheeky smile.
As much as I was waiting for Crazy and hoping for it to be my favourite in this series, it didn’t meet the mark. I just couldn’t love it.
I’ve never been a fan of insta-love in a full-length novel and even though the story was moderately paced, for the timeline it covered, I just felt it was too fast.
In a couple of weeks Peck and his “love interest” went from falling in love to talking about getting married and having babies. (No I haven’t given you any spoilers)
There was also an epilogue — one when taking into account the storyline, I would have preferred for it to be a few years down the line.
Is this a goof/fantastic read? Sure for some readers.
Did I hate it? Nope, and at this moment I’m in the minority since it simply didn’t work for me.
3 Stars!
Fans of Adriana Locke’s The Gibson Boys series have been waiting (impatiently) for Peck’s book. He’s the rascal of the group, the one we’ve watched over Walker’s, Lance’s, and Cross’s books. Who would capture his heart?
Peck’s story kicks off with a case of mistaken identity that will have you laughing as you realize she’s here! This is The One! She is completely unexpected and completely perfect.
I thought the chemistry between previous couples in this series was scorching, but they feel almost tepid compared to what Peck has going on. From the moment he meets this woman, their attraction is so palpable that it almost turns the pages for you. They bicker, they yearn, they try to push aside a presumed third leg of the stool, and all of that simmering desire combusts in some pretty fabulous sexy times.
No, I will not tell you who she is. You need to read the book to find out. You need to read it anyway because it’s fun and sexy and full of feels. I loved it, as I love the men in this series. Peck, though. He’s worth the wait.
Peck is everything I thought he’d be and more. Just like the rest of his family he would do anything for anyone but he’s got a little extra giving in him. That’s especially why he needed to get his happily ever after.
This man is sexy and sweet, caring and giving, and just so damn special I want to hug him tight. I didn’t need to take my time to fall for him because I was already half way there.
As for the woman who finally won his heart? Was it Molly or Navie or just a new woman in the mix? If you want to find out you’ll have to read Crazy!
All I can say is this was so worth the wait and you will not be disappointed. Adriana Locke knows how to write romance. She couldn’t have wrote it any more perfect than she did!
Crazy is book four in the Gibson Boys series by Adriana Locke.
Peck Ward has always been the fun guy. The class clown with the quick wit, and always sporting a smile.
But there is so much more to him. He is sweet, sensitive and has a whole lot of insecurities holding him down.
Peck is always down to help someone and he always does so willingly with a smile on his face.
There is no pretense with him. He is a pure soul that is just genuine and helpful.
Everyone believes that Peck has been in love with Molly since they were six years old.
He has promised to watch out for her until the day he dies. And he takes that quite seriously.
But when a new girl comes to town, from the moment he meets her she sets his world on fire.
Call it Crazy… but he may have just met his match.
Peck has been on the side lines of every book in the series. I am so glad that he finally has
had his protective layers peeled back and you get to see who he really is and what he is all about.
His slow reveal of who he really is made me really fall for him .
Adriana Locke has an amazing way of creating her small town world, that makes you feel like
you grew up there. Or at least want to visit on a warm summer evening, especially if the Gibson boys are in town.
Quick read, highly recommend the series.
Gosh, I love me some Peck!!!!!
I adored this book! The entire Gibson Boys series has been incredible but I think Peck’s story took the whole darn cake! I couldn’t get enough of Dylan and Peck’s banter and back and forth sparing. It was intoxicating! Peck is such an easy going guy, that it was quite shocking to see him with feelings and laying it all out on the line for love. It just made me fall more madly in love with his character.
This book was the perfect mix of steamy, protective, humorous, dramatic, and sweet. Adriana Locke writes some of the best small-town romance reads and this was certainly up there on the list of my favs!
Crazy was a quick read that left me smiling from ear to ear. I laughed out loud so many times and truly appreciate the author’s crass humor. A truly feel good story!
Crazy is the fourth book in the Gibson boys series and comes with the story of the character most readers wanted: Peck, that fun, cheerful character that I had the opportunity to know better and just made me like him even more.
I loved Peck, I already liked him for the little scenes I saw in the previous books of the series, in this book he stole my heart not only for showing a more vulnerable side of the funny one he knew, but for his good heart, his generosity and of course, for his relationship with Nana. I enjoyed seeing his dynamics with nana, understanding his relationship with a certain character better is seeing his dynamics with his cousins. But while I liked Peck a lot, his romantic match didn’t have the same effect. I’m going to be vague about who she is at the author’s request, so I’ll just say that while she wasn’t a character I hated, it wasn’t a character that conquered me either, and her relationship with Peck was an instant love that didn’t convince me completely.
Crazy isn’t my favorite book in this series, but it still has a story that, while predictably it’s funny and sweet.
Oh my Peck! My sweet sweet Peck! I have loved him from the very first moment I met him and now I am completely and totally gone for this sweet, caring man. For real y’all he is my new favorite BBF!
I am not going to give you a summary of this one as I refuse to give away the heroine, but let me just say you are going to love her!
I just don’t have words for how much I loved this story. I read it in one sitting and immediately wanted to do a reread. This entire series is absolutely amazing and Crazy is, in my opinion, the best yet! I cannot recommend this one enough. One-Click now You won’t be sorry!
Adriana Locke has done it, yet again!!! Crazy is EVERYTHING I’ve come to expect from her….and so much more! The anticipation for this fourth book in the Gibson Boys series was sweet torture and it was sooooooo worth the wait!
I don’t want to give too much away, but I WILL say that Peck turned out to be the SWOONIEST, the SEXIEST, the MOST lovable of ALL!!! I can’t tell you how many times I laughed, cried, chewed my nails, fanned myself, melted into a puddle of goo, grabbed a pitch-fork to do battle….and then gave a heartfelt sigh at the end! I will also say, “YOU MUST READ THIS BOOK!!!”…you won’t regret it!
“He tastes of warmth and wishes, of heat and happiness. There’s no rush, no urgency to his sweet kisses. It’s as if he has all the time in the world to commit this to memory.”
The banter, the sweetness, the hilarious antics, and the family bonding made for a fantastic HEA!
I have been wanting Peck’s book for a long time, and it definitely didn’t disappoint. I am so use to seeing the crazy side of him, and it was so nice to see the real Peck. He hides behind his antics so much. Deep down, he is such a genuinely nice guy who would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need.
Dylan was a spitfire. The way she took up for her friends, took up for herself, and gave as good as she got made her such a fun heroine. She was constantly surprising me with her antics and online spending habits.
It was so much fun being back with the Gibson family and seeing the past characters again. They make you feel like you are part of the family and wishing you were at Sunday dinners. I can’t wait to see where Adriana takes this series next.
– An Arc was generously provided in exchange for an honest review.-
I cannot begin to express how long I have waited for Peck’s story. Since I first read about him in Crank, the first book in The Gibson Boys series, there was just something about him. Let me tell you, Adriana Locke did not disappoint in Crazy. We get to see Peck in ways we never had before. The playful easygoing guy is so much more than he portrays.
I already loved Peck, but in Crazy I fell head over heels for him. The guy has a heart of gold underneath the joker everyone else sees. He is caring, loyal, and honest. You just know the woman he ends up with will be worth holding his heart. And she was. Their story may not have been easy, but it brought them together. An emotional and touching story that will captivate you from start to end!
Happy reading!
Peck and this story are amazing!
I had read the other Gibson Boys books in this series and had really high expectations of and for Peck. Adriana Locke delivered! From the first page and the meet cute to the last I loved it. Peck is amazing. He “is an anomaly, an unexpected layering of a man who is so much more than he appears”. I loved him and I loved that he stayed true to the character I always thought he was. Dylan is hysterical and relatable. Couldn’t have asked for a better fit for Peck. Plenty of twists and turns along the way. Some more insight to characters we have already met and full of all the family and love I know this series for. I also came away with a new quotable moment- “I’d rather be karma than fate. How nice would it be to be karma? To have the powers of justice and fairness? That might be better than endless tacos. A girl can dream.”
Another great addition to this series!
5 out of 5 stars
Oh Peck! He’s been the one in the background you’ve cheered for since the beginning of this series. And his book did NOT disappoint. I love him and I love his girl. I loved this book.
I can’t say much because I don’t want to ruin this book for others, but I do know that this book is in my top 5 of the year — if not the decade — if not the century! It was so, so good! Having all the Gibson boys in one place. Getting another glimpse of their crazy lives. Seeing Peck find his match and the process of him falling in love — and learning more of his story. It was just perfectly heartwarming!
Nana is also one of those characters that will make you stop and think. She’s what I wish I would have had for a grandma – honest to a fault, but loving to the depths! Her advice to Peck’s girl was just what I think we all need to think about from time to time:
“You don’t have to earn someone’s love. Their respect? Yes. Their loyalty? Absolutely. But true love comes freely. You can’t stop it or start it. You have no control over it.”
If you haven’t read this series yet, you are so missing out. If you just haven’t read Peck’s book yet, stop what you’re reading and get it NOW!
4.5 STARS!!!
Aww… this book was so good! I LOVED PECK! I loved getting to know him better and seeing his vulnerable side. I am happy with who the author chose for him. She fit in perfectly with the Gibson boys and their lovely ladies. I thought the way they met was hilarious. I loved her fire and passion. I liked that she too had issues that she was dealing with and could relate to Peck. My favorite part… when Peck got up on that bar top… HOT DAMN!
As always, Nana stole the show. Her love and humor just warms my heart. I’m so excited for her and her new adventure. The Gibson boys were as delicious as ever! I really enjoyed the love and banter between them.
Crazy is a perfect addition to this series. I’m so glad that Peck got his story and his HEA. I can’t wait for Vincent and Blair’s stories. With Vincent’s bravado and Blair’s sass, they are bound to be amazing!

Gahhhh! Peck freaking Ward, can he get anymore delicious. He’s always been one of my favorites in the Gibson boy’s series but now, he’s reached top level. He’s delish!! His heart is gold, he’s so charming and that smile will break a million hearts. This man is walking FIRE!! Adriana Locke keeps dishing out these men like hot cakes – pour some syrup on me, I’m done!! I don’t even know what to say, but be prepared for the FEELS
Peck and his special lady…I won’t name names. It’s too sweet of a ride to figure out who will finally capture his heart. But let me tell you this: she’s incredible. She’s sassy, smart mouthed, determined and independent. She’s looking for someone to who will love her unconditionally, forever and ever. She’s found a home in Linton, and with Peck. This story is one of my favorites, there’s so much passion, heart and loads of heart. Get on board this journey, Peck will make you melt
I love the Gibson Boys series, each book just gets better. Peck has been a constant in all the prior stories, he is fun-loving, witty, the soul of the party, but there is so much more to him than even his family appreciates. Watching Peck’s character evolve as he finds his own love interest, you realize he has hidden depths. I loved the banter, quick-wit, and sexual chemistry between the two of them. As with the previous books in the series the wonderful cast of supporting characters enriches the story. I laughed, I swooned, and I fell in love with Peck. I really enjoyed this book…it is well written, entertaining, and witty.
Peck is here!! Finally. If you’ve read the other books in the Gibson Boys series, you’ll know who Peck is. He’s the guy who has been a pillar amongst his cousins. Sure, he’s a goofball but he has the best heart there is!
The whole gang is back together in Crazy. I love seeing them all again and seeing Peck’s world turned upside down. I especially love nana, she’s my favorite character.
Peck, our guy with a heart of gold, sexy mechanic, goofball is faced with confronting his past and falling in love. All I will say is Peck ended up with the PERFECT person.
I couldn’t imagine this story written differently. Thank you, Adriana, for not only exceeding in small-town romance’s but for writing this story so beautifully! The romance in this story was HOT and it was well worth the wait to read all about our favorite softie…
5 Stars
Holy smokes! It’s FINALLY PECK! And was he ever worth the wait! Adriana Locke has delivered, yet again, another sweet, fun-filled story with the most amazing characters. The whole family dynamics is something that everyone should crave to have in their lives. From Nana to his brother, and all the cousins, the Gibson bunch is definitely one of my favorite families. This book was everything and I devoured it in one sitting. Peck Ward is a man I need in my life. A little broken, a huge heart, and a whole lotta fun. Plus, I need a man that will dirty dance on a bar top with me 😉 I loved Crazy and can’t wait for more from the Gibson family.

Peck ((sigh)) was just everything I knew he would be. I’ve been waiting for his story since the very beginning and Adriana didn’t disappoint. I feel so invested in this series. Living in a small town in Indiana this series calls to me. It has that small town feel with a family that you can’t help but fall in love with.
Ahhh, Peck! The love of my life….too bad you fell for….NAH. I’m not gonna tell ya! The leading female in the book is a perfect match for Peck. She’s sassy, witty, and can go toe to toe with him. This book was EVERYTHING! Adriana incorporated so much of the other characters in the books, it was like coming home. And don’t get me started on Nana! She is like warm peach cobbler on a cold day. She is the best comforter and is so wise. Makes me miss my grandma so much. Thank you for the most perfect ‘ending’ to one of my favorite stories, EVER.
