3.5*
This was a bit long for me but a good story. Beau is in desperate need to make money to pay her tuition and being turned down for loans and can’t ask her parents for help a woman over hears her and offers her a job to be arm candy for a sugar daddy. Hendrix is a grumpy, broody man who is nursing a broken heart, but his best friend signs him up and convinces him to get a sugar baby to bring as arm candy to several functions. I enjoyed some parts of the story but there were some things about Beau sometimes she would come off as a woman who is feisty and would stand her ground and then she would come off as a push over and let people take advantage of her.

This one is something else. Hendrix is the epitome of an alphahole. He had his swoon worthy moments that hit all the right buttons for a possessive dominant man. He had way more moments that made me want to punch him in the throat.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book but he did not deserve Beau, at all. He didn’t deserve her forgiveness after the way he spoke to her and he never truly understood her. He never even tried.
I’m going to guess the author felt it wouldn’t have been in his nature to grovel and that’s fair. However, he should have done *something* to make amends for his behavior. Having a dead wife that you were about to divorce anyway doesn’t give you a pass to call the woman you supposedly love “a wh@re I just pay to f*ck”.
I have to give it four stars for all the ruthless amazing alpha moments he gave us that made my heart race. Can’t go for 5 though because he didn’t deserve to be forgiven so easily.

Hot, sexy read with an over the top alpha and a heroine that gives it right back. She needs When we first meet Beau, she seems to let people run over her. Not that she is a pushover, more like she goes over and above for those she cares about. They tend to take advantage. She is financially strapped and needs money to fund her education. She is introduced to the sugar daddy world. Meeting Hendrix adds fire to her persona. She get a backbone and gives him a run for his money. Hendrix has secrets that he does not want to share. He lost a lot in his past and does not want to go there again. He is fascinated with Beau and it throws him. He tries to remain aloof but it a useless fight. Read the dynamics and power play between the two. You will not regret i
