Craved by Bears by Skye MacKinnon is an amazing story that I had the privilege to read. This is book number three in this amazing story and like the other two book in this amazing series I fell in love with this one to. I highly recommend this story to everyone who loves reading about bear shifters and paranormal romances.

What an intriguing way to end the awesome bear trilogy. We have gotten to know Isla and her men during the first two books but now we get to add a little baby too. Though I must say this is no normal baby and we are all in for a few surprise twists that you will never see coming as MacKinnon yet again lets her imagination run wild as she writes these incredible worlds. Perfect for fans of RH and bears of course. I really liked it so I give it 4/5 stars.
Loved this book. It tried so hard to be a page turner, but my willpower was greater, I read it slow and took in all the details. Skye MacKinnon has a flair for details and world building that I love and have noticed in her other books. I love this, because personally, I am not someone who visualizes myself into the book, or inserts details from my culture where things are left blank. I want to read and visualize it EXACTLY as it was written and intended to be read. Who knows what I might miss if I don’t? This book was a bit different content-wise from Polar Destiny and Polar Fates, whereas the first two books had a lot of content focusing on building their relationship, both united and separately, this book, possibly due to its being the last in the series (I want to cry just typing that. Let it be known to all who read this that I am upset with Skye MacKinnon for ending this series), had more action, adventure, excitement, intrigue, etc. I recommend anyone reading this review to read it. But you should consider starting with Polar Destiny so you’re not completely clueless half a paragraph into the book.
.5 stars for the finale in Skye’s Claiming Her Bears trilogy. I was kinda shocked with the time jump, not sure if I missed story somewhere. I was kinda saddened not to get the claiming scenes for some of the guys, I had been waiting to see Finn’s because of the lead-up and how he was nervous she wouldn’t do that. I thought the concept with the adorbs baby was cool (almost Twilight-esque haha) but it did make the story feel choppy and not a smooth as the other books in this series. I had to keep rewinding the audiobook because I was getting lost in the timeline since it didnt line up with how the little one was progressing. I thought the ending was so sweet and loved the HEA! Oh and I was super sad to get the loss thrown in there, yes I know there were hints it was gonna happen, but that scene broke me!
Audio for this one was hit or miss for me. I thought with the changes Ruby goes through, Kyo did a good job adapting but some were a little high pitched for me (just because you are doing a little girl doesn’t mean the voice HAS to be squeaky haha). I thought the baddie was tough for Kyo. I thought she did a good job with portraying the angst/sadness/desperation of Isla and Ruby (and her innocence that morphed into strength).
Overall this was a good series by Skye, not my favorite if I am being honest. I really wanted to love it but some decisions that were made with the flow/execution and lack of some details put it in the 3-4 star range for me. If you are looking for a slow-burn, fade to black/mentions series, this will be a good one. I still don’t think this classifies as high steam, but that is all relative anyway.
Craved by Bears is an amazing story that This is book number three in this amazing series I fell in love with this one to. I highly recommend this story to everyone who loves reading about bear shifters and paranormal romances. This is a great series
This is book three of the Claiming Her Bears series and sees Isla and her four bear shifter husbands having to cope with their new baby cub, Ruby, who seems to never sleep. She is constantly crying and seems to never sleep, which has Isla completely exhausted, even though she has Torben, Hunn , Ran, and Finn to help her out. Since the events with the fates they have lived in a small cottage by the sea, the only other people on the island being Arnold and Bertrand, a bear couple who invited them to come and stay. Isla hasn’t any time or energy to allow Alis, the former nymph and now bear shifter that she shares a body with. To even run about as a bear. Things take a strange turn when her baby bites her whilst feeding and it isn’t a one off. It seems her baby cub has a craving for blood and they have to try and figure out why. She is also growing rapidly, which is not normal and begins to worry them all. They try to research blood cubs, but it takes Torben doing an alpha call, before they can find out any information.
Meanwhile, Isla has been having strange out of body experiences, which place her and Ruby in danger. The strange voices she hears, say that Ruby is the key and she is needed to free them. Ruby’s growth is continuing at escalated speed, with her being able to walk and even start talking when she is only a few months old. Isla’s strange absences continue, until one becomes a lot more than expected. What these voices want and how much of a danger they are to both Ruby and Isla, will soon be revealed, as her men are left behind to observe Ruby continuing to grow, whilst Isla is left behind with Alis keeping her alive. A blood cub is a very rare bear shifter and only born when they will face a great challenge. Their family dynamic is severely challenged as matters are almost out of their control. There isn’t much time for Isla to have proper time with her men, when Ruby is asleep, with that rarely happening. Arnold and Bertrand are a great help to the family and also protective, but have their own health issues to deal with. A twist to the tale, after they had already had to deal with the Fates, leaving a blood cub growing rapidly, to become the Key she needed to become. An interesting way to force one’s hand into action, before normality can resume, if possible. I received an ARC copy of this book from BookSprout and I have freely given my own opinion of the book above.
Book 3 of Skye’s Claiming her bears series finds Isla has a new cub and she couldn’t be happier until it starts craving blood. Now she has to deal with a whole new set of issues.

The third book in the Claiming Her Bears series this is the end of Isla’s story. Isla and her men Finn, Ràn, Húnn, and Torben plus their daughter Ruby’s story. There is suspense, drama, danger, giants, villains, dreams, and love. I enjoyed reading this and the rest of the series. An amazing story. An amazing series. This is the last story in the Claiming Her Bears triology. In this story Isla gives birth to a baby girl, but there are some difficulties she and her bears are facing in raising the girl. Loved this story. Thanx.

Fantastic way to end the series! Isla is now a mother, which she never thought would happen, but her daughter Ruby is behaving strangely even for a shifter. Isla get sucked into Limbo and it’s up to Ruby to save her, but she’s just a baby. Will Isla get back to her mates and Ruby? This story is full of twists and turns and suspense. I can’t wait to see what this author has in store for us next!
I love the growth in Isla since book 1-2. Great points for the author: even though she was a shifter, this takes place 3 mpp and nursing was not creepily talked about. It even made me nostalgic for nursing my other kiddos. Even when the nursing became a bit gruesome, it was written very well. Thumbs up. I mention this because I read another shifter book and NOPE. I found this entire book/relating to new motherhood SO relatable. Struggles with nursing, sleeping, healing.
And there is still at least a few steamy scenes till the plot comes in.

I loved the book it was great, a paranormal reverse harem trilogy. This series was written well you have your ups and downs, twists and turns, excitement, pride, heat but does it get the happily ever after. It is worth reading if you want a Paranormal Reverse Harem but I warn you once you start you want be able to stop.

Isla never expected to be a mother but now baby Ruby start to behave strangely.
Isla and her mates are overjoyed with the arrival of their baby Ruby but find it hard with her crying and her feeding . She only feeds from Isla when in her human from and never in bear from but then she starts to clamp down like biting but she has no teeth. Isla starts to have strange dreams where Ruby is referred to as the Key but has no Idea of what they mean. Then one day Ruby make Isla bleed while feeding and start to drink the blood. Her mates search for answers to the problem going so far as to make an Alpha Call to contact other Alpha in the hope of gaining insight into this strange behavior.

Terrific ending to the series! The author once again brings strong characters and weaves an emotional story. She had me glued to the pages with all the twists and turns and the way she puts you in Isla’s place. Also in showing what her mates go through along the way. Loved and highly recommend this book/series.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. All opinions in this review are my own and freely given.
Another Fantastical Adventure
This story finds Isla with her new baby Ruby, but motherhood is just the first adventure. Sucked into Limbo, Isla and her mates aren’t able to save the day, that honour is not-so-baby Ruby’s. I loved the touching moments with Isla and her bears, while the heartbreaking moments were almost too much to bear (ha ha, pun intended). What a truly fantastic trilogy.
Great conclusion to this reverse harem romance series. I do suggest you read from the beginning. Definitely worth it. Isla and her sexy mates are getting used to being new parents to their new baby cub, Ruby. They soon find that she has special powers. Lots of twists and turns, danger and romance (as much as new parents have!). This story definitely keeps you hooked, and I was sad to see it end.
