She thinks the gorgeous, silver fox alien is a hologram. He’s not.The only alien warrior True isn’t intimidated by is the one in her holodeck simulation. Not only is True a virgin, she’s barely been kissed, so the huge, hunky Drexian warriors terrify her. But the guy in her simulation doesn’t. He may be as big and built as the rest of them, but she knows he’s not real. It’s the only reason she’s … only reason she’s not afraid to kiss him.
Captain Varden never meant to lie to True, but when she assumed he was a hologram, he didn’t correct her. Especially not after she laid that kiss on him. Now she’s convinced he isn’t real, which is probably for the best. He’s too old for someone as young and pretty as her, although when she kisses him he feels like a Drexian cadet again.
When the Kronock attack and they’re forced to abandon the space station, True comes face-to-face with her hologram—on the escape transport. Before she can be properly outraged, they’re stranded on a jungle planet. Between trying to stay alive and evading the enemy, can she forgive him for deceiving her? Can he ever accept that she could fall for someone so much older?
This standalone alien abduction romance novel features steamy scenes on a jungle planet, action-packed space battles, smoking-hot Drexian warriors who will do anything to protect the women they love, and a guaranteed HEA. If you like silver foxes, aliens with extra erogenous zones, and virgins getting (a lot) more than they bargained for, you’ll love CRAVED, the eighth book in Tana Stone’s sci-fi romance Tribute Brides of the Drexian Warriors series.

I really enjoyed this book, there isn’t a dull moment in it. Both the plot and the characters are interesting, and it was a joy to read.

Varden is the captain of the boat, the space ship where the tribute human brides live with their mates. True is a free bride who rejected any marriage who spends her time in a hologram area with her make believe warrior. So what happens when she finds out he is real, and when the boat is attacked? Their story is full of drama, passion, and love. A great story in this series.

A smooth buildup to an exciting tale! I got swept away, hooked, obsessed and addicted to True and Vardan’s story. The story builds in heat and action, depth and emotionalism, but I kept coming back for the sincere realness of the two-pronged self-doubt and insecurities that were woven throughout. We finally got a story where the dude is not overly cocky and sure of his absolute domination of a supposedly weak human woman. True showed real growth emotionally, and when she finally breaks free from her twisted upbringing, she does it whole-heartedly. It’s actually a little inspiring. I love this series, but this has got to be my favorite installment so far!
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this amazing alien warrior romance. It has an interesting, well-paced plot filled with suspenseful situations. The well-developed characters are quite complex individuals & display realistic emotional feelings & are inclined to be devious at times.
There is: a independent but virginal young woman (True) is quite attracted to a hologram of a silver-fox alien warrior (Varden) & later discovers to her dismay that he is actually quite real, twists & turns, intrigue, suspense, Drexian warrior aliens, evil reptilian aliens (Kronock), slavers, tribute brides, action, adventure, abduction, humans, friendship, danger, threats, enemies, attacks, violence, conflict, devious plans, escape, deceit, betrayal, memories, discovery, doubts, emotional turmoil, advice, determination, declaration, love, contentment, some steamy scenes & a interesting epilogue. I look forward to the next book with great anticipation & would recommend this book.
An innocent young woman finds love!
by sewsummore
When True first met Varden she thought he was part of the holodeck’s scene and he never told her he was the Drexian Captain. However when they were forced evacuate the Boat, she learned the truth. She had liked the man she met on the holodeck, but the Captain was too much male for her to accept. They were among the last to evacuate and when the ship they were travelling on was forced to crash landed, there she realized that she loved him as much as he loved her. This was a story of discovery for True, an innocent young woman raised by strict religious parents, she found living with aliens frightening. Having fallen in love with one, it had opened her eyes to a lot of things that her parents told her were false and it was interesting to read about the changes in her personality as the book progress. An entertaining read with good descriptions of an alien planet and it’s people.

The Kronock are on the way, and The Boat is evacuating! Varden is on the last ship out because he had to find True and get her on board. Little did she know that the silver fox she’d been cozying up to in the holographic suite was real! Add in crashing into a hot swamp and meeting some really rancid aliens, and you’ve got an exciting chapter in the Tribute brides’ series!
I knew they’ll get their happy ending and reading how they reach it is an enjoyable read. Cerise made up for the absence of Serge and Reina, she was an absolute gem.
I loved how it end but I wanted to know how the Captain would react when a True revealed her surprise.

I found this book much more sweet in comparison to the others in this series. Don’t get me wrong, this has NOT been a book that I haven’t loved from Tana Stone, but this one got to me a bit more. Perhaps because of all the insecurities that the characters lay out in the book? I can relate to it better I guess.
I was very excited to read how True would develop as a character in this book, as she was so shy and timid throughout the series. She blossomed like a flower in this book – you’ll have to read it to find out how.

Another great book in the Tribute Brides of the Drexia Warriors series. Captain Varden has to evacuate the Boat after finding out that the Kronock are going to attack. True is at the holodeck when notice goes out to evacuate ao the Captain has to go and find her. They make it to the last ship but it gets hit and they end up crashing on a rainy forest world. There is plenty of adventure, action, drama and steam. Great story line. I hope Ms. Stone gives up another great Sci-Fi series to follow. Loved this one. I love this series! This story about Captain Varden of the boat and True was a delight to read. Cerise, a Perogling, brought comic relief while the romance between Varden and True was a gradually progression to steamy in this story and along with the action of trying to survive after the boat was attacked made their journey a page turner. True and Varden had personal internal struggles: True was told by her parents that romantic encounters were only a duty so she chosen not to mate with a Drexian and Varden who is a older Drexian gave up of ever having a mate and children. So does Varden go to the counsel asking for True to be his mate? Also Kos, Varden’s first officer was a well written character in this story so that I look forward to his story which is next. I volunteer to read and review this ARC via booksprout and the author. ARC
Book eight of the Tribute Brides of the Drexian Warriors series a well written story with a very good storyline. True is afraid of men so when she interacts with a holodeck simulation and meets a man she can talk as she thinks he is not real. When the station is under attack and silver fox Captain Varden comes to her aid in getting her to safety with his second in command Kos and Cerise she realize he is her man. The four of them get away on a very old ship and crash land on another planet. There is suspense, drama, danger, kidnapping, twists, turns, and romance. I want to read the next book. This is the first book I’ve read in the series. I absolutely loved the story. Tory thinks the hot silver fox that is shown in a hologram is just that and not a real Drexian. But when shit hits the fan and she is escaping she realizes that hologram she just kissed was real. Will Captain Varden get to explain and hope Tory forgives him?

I could not wait to finally read this book. True is relaxing in a hologram of paradise that her friend built for her. When Captain Varden come in and she thought he was not real so she kissed him. She felt the comfort with him that she couldn’t with another because she is inexperienced. But she gets a ride awaken when they are under attacked. Now she is stranded in a jungle with the real Captain. Ha the stuff they get up too. I enjoyed reading how True grow as a women.
This novel was cleanly written and edited, with few if any typos or wrong word choices. It had competent world building, with the jungle planet our protagonists were marooned on coming to vivid life. This novel had competent characterization, with this reader getting a good feel for the personality of both the hero and heroine of this novel. I enjoyed the adventure and action elements of this novel, with this story having medium angst (internal conflict) and high stakes (external conflict). The misunderstanding between the hero and heroine when they refused to honestly communicate their feelings for each other was irritating but thankfully did not go on too long before the heroine was placed in danger with being kidnapped by the slavers and that incident acting as the catalyst for both hero and heroine to be honest with each other about their love and desire to be married. Recommended for readers who enjoy alien sci-fi space opera romances.

Of all the characters in the series, True has always intrigued me. What is she really like when she is ready to really reveal herself? We got a glimpse when she met the Captain in the hologram. Thinking she was all alone she let her defenses down. Since then, I had been eagerly waiting for this book to be released… And Tana did not disappoint.
Great job!

I loved that True finally found a man she could trust to have a relationship with after her restrictive upbringing. Captain Varden has no choice but to evacuate the Love Boat after Intel states the Kronock will attack it and Earth. True is on the holodeck when the evacuation notice goes out and the Captain goes to find her. They get on the last shop just in time; however their ship is hit and they crash land on a rain forest world. Two Drexian ships show up just in time and rescue them. The ship True and Cerise is on gets hijacked by Raith-Kan. They get rescued again by the Drexians and True and Varden make up and have their HEA.

This story is very clearly fantastically beautiful. A sci/fi at its best. If we are to believe what is written after the story then this series is coming to an end which is clearly a great tragedy, but perhaps a new series will arise equally good as this one??? But this story here is one I can recommend to everyone who likes romances as this one is very clearly a great one. Overall I am very happy to give this story the rare fantastic five stars.

True is one of the Independents who is scared of Males, but really she is scared of having personal time with Males, because growing up she was taught that it was a duty and it would hurt. Varden is the Captain of the boat and is older, he thinks his time for a mate is past and that he should leave the females for the younger warriors, but something about true draws him.
they have a lot to over come, and have a wonderful story to tell full of adventures, love and emotion.

I enjoyed reading this book , the interaction and chemistry between the characters is great, the storyline is entertaining. I can’t wait for more from this author. I received this book as a FREE ARC copy to read and I voluntarily leave this review.
True was a tribute bride but rejected her groom and moved to the independent section of the boat as the space station was called. Her best friend Ella who was also once an independent until she met her mate wrote her a holographic program for the Gulf of Mexico but Captain Varden accidentally entered the holographic room and True thought Ella had written the silver fox into the program to help her get over her fear of Drexian warriors.
The boat is under attack from the Kronocks and everyone is evacuated from the ship, but True is still in the holodeck and Captain Varden has to rescue her and she and Cerise another alien female along with the first mate leave the boat in an escape shuttle, but they crash land on a planet that has tiny aliens who live in the trees and the ground is mostly swamp.
It is here that True realises that her feelings for Varden are real and she finally tells him of her feelings and they make love in a warm waterfall. They sneak off to make love often, but don’t live openly as a couple. They are rescued from the planet after being almost found by the Kronock. But the shuttle that True is on is attacked before reaching the rendezvous planet and taken by slavers. Varden is adamant about being on the ship that goes to rescue her.
When they find True and Cerise, Varden can no longer deny his feelings for True and she is the same. They are given permission to be mates and start their lives together. True discovers she is pregnant. But she can’t be fully happy until the two tribute brides who are missing can be found.
I can’t wait to read book nine when it comes out. This series really pulls you in and leaves you wanting more.
