A swoon-worthy romance from USA Today Bestselling Author J.H. Croix!Opposites attract in a big way when an ex-military pilots rescues a sassy Southern chef in small town Alaska.Daphne is everything I don’t need, and she makes me crazy in all the wrong ways. This princess does not belong in the wilderness. Or, so I think. But then, thought is hard to come by around Daphne.Between flying tourists … come by around Daphne.
Between flying tourists all over Alaska’s skies, hotshot firefighting on the side, and raising my sixteen-year old sister, I don’t have time for anything, much less for a woman.
But time’s been laughing at me ever since Daphne showed up. I can’t get her out of my mind, and my control has fled the building. Oh, and I’m her boss.
One night, just one night, I let things go too far. Now, all bets are off.
Daphne & Flynn’s story is perfect for readers who love small town romance, military heroes, sassy heroines, opposites attract, workplace/boss romance, slow burn, emotional romance with a dash of angst, plenty of steam and swoon, and a grumpy hero with a protective streak as big as Alaska.

This was a slow burn melt your heart romance
Flynn and Daphne were both a little lost in the world.
They knew what they didn’t want, having been there done that. They even had an idea of what they did want but life had short-circuited their plans leaving them both floundering in uncharted waters
For Flynn, things were finally falling into place. Life was still chaotic and his time was still not his own. But he had a general direction.
Daphne needed a reboot, a chance to find herself amidst all her grief and anger. On a whim, she ends up in Alaska for a month soaking in all that Walker Adventures (misadventures) has to offer –
What happens when you mix a princess with
Bears – Mud – Prickly Bushes – A Moose –
and one smexy Bush Pilot?
One heartwarming fabulously fun romance
I enjoy a heroine that doesn’t do the emotional flip-flop and Daphine was definitely that. She was searching for her inner reason, the will to move forward and enjoy each moment. Sure she was still a bit bruised from recent events that had turned her world upside down. But dang if she didn’t face each new challenge and ride it out – Be it ditches, grazing bears, bull-headed moose, prickly bushes, or prickly bush pilots –
She’s got this!
Flynn was working double-time to ensure his siblings had a chance at the world. He was battle harden and secretly a bit afraid he would mess up the whole parenting thing. Yeah, he was tired, burning the candle at both ends, occasionally even a bit grumbly but he had responsibilities!
He had seen first hand what “relationships” cost a person – the damage and destruction they left in their wake. He was still mopping up the mess his mother had left.
He knew better.
Nothing would get past his glacial walls
Two lost souls + One mountain resort =
A wonderful story about finding oneself, finding one’s purpose, and finding love.
Crash Into You is the first book in the ‘Dare With Me’ series by J.H. Croix, it’s also my first read from this author. I love discovering new to me authors and I’m happy to say, Ms. Croix has been added to my ever-growing to-go lists of authors.
It was a great start to a new series, the main characters were well fleshed out and had some serious baggage to deal with.
Daphne especially has a lot going on, in her head and her life. She needs a break and decides to hit the Alaskan wilderness in search of it.
Flynn is an ex-airforce pilot who’s returned home to run his parents’ company Walker Adventures. Sparks fly from this first meeting and they share a strong attraction that only grows as time goes on. This was a sexy, but sweet, slightly angsty, and slow-burning story, one you’ll want to savor as you and the characters get to know each other, and all the secondary members of the tale too. I’m already looking forward to the next installment.
This is the 1st in a new series and what an emotional roller coaster this story is. Daphne is broken and haunted after she loses her baby son to a rare form of brain cancer, and finding out her husband is cheating on her with her so called best friend, she needs an escape as the anniversary is approaching of her son’s passing, plus the added pressure of her family who want her to get back and forgive her ex for appearances sake. Flynn helps his family run a resort and to bring up his siblings, as well as being a hotshot pilot and firefighter, who flies tourist all over Alaska, and is haunted by his military days. When Flynn rescues Daphne when her car is stuck in the mud, the chemistry between them is tangible, but he knows she is only staying for a short time. Can these two heal each other and move on? This is a beautifully written story which is emotional, heart-breaking, humorous, entertaining, and is a steamy read. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend for all.
A Sensational Romance .
I volunteered to read and review an advanced readers copy of Crash Into You . I loved reading this story . This is a well written and emotional story . Daphne Bell finds herself out of her element when she arrives in Diamond Creek Alaska . A getaway for a month she definitely needs . Hoping to piece her life back together her way at the Walker Adventures Resort . Flynn Walker comes to her rescue when she gets lost and stuck in the mud . Upon their meeting they have intense attraction . They both have issues they need to work through so they try to ignore their attraction . Flynn needs a cook for the resort and hires Daphne . Spending time together brings them closer . This story is entertaining . It is heartbreaking and heartwarming . It has all the feels . I couldn’t put it down . I highly recommend taking the time to read and enjoy
This was a really sweet story. Daphne needs to escape her old life that is full of heartbreak and loss. She is in desperate need of a second chance. So on a whim she takes off to Alaska to stay a wilderness retreat for a month just hoping to figure out where she wants to take her life. There she meets Flynn and his incredible family and friends and quickly becomes immersed in life in Alaska and falls in love with Flynn.
Although both Flynn and Daphne never expected love and it takes them a little bit of time to admit it they have and instant connection with tons of chemistry.
This is the first book in a new series which is a great thing because there are some many incredible characters in this book that it would be a crime to to visit Walker Adventures and Diamond Creek again! Next up is Elias and Cammi!
I LOVE Flynn and Daphne’s emotional journey…..
Daphne takes off to Alaska for a month trip after her world is turned upside down. She’s still suffering the loss of her son. She just needs a break. She meets Flynn a sexy hot shot pilot. He’s arrogant and a total grump. But dayum is he HOT!
One look at Daphne and Flynn has other things on his mind besides caring for his kid sister and running his business. She’s gorgeous and everything he’s looking for in a woman. Well if he was looking. But fate has other plans for them. Sparks fly and the more they try to deny their feelings the stronger the pull between them becomes. With plenty of steam and a few bumps along the way they finally figure out they were always mean to be together!

Run and Hide
Flynn and Daphne are at different stages in their life but when their paths cross the world seems a lot less lonely
Daphne is looking to change her life as she moves forward from a life she was not sure she ever wanted.
Flynn has been single minded while carrying for others in his life that he has not taken a moment for himself in years.

This is book one in The Care with me series and it is Flynn and Daphne’s story and omg what a story it is and a brilliant start to a new series. Daphne was going to stay at Walker Adventures for a month to get away from everything that has happened and what she had gone through recently but now she was stuck in mud thank to the near in front of her and with no cell phone service Daphne was truly stuck and then a truck stopped and the man that got out simply stole her breath away and he was.so handsome and she felt something that she had never felt before and that was not good. Flynn runs and works at the family adventure resort and when he rescues Daphne he thought that she was beautiful and everything in him went on high alert as she was only there for a month. Daphne and Flynn have been through so much and they were both so guarded around each other even though there chemistry and connection between them was so strong that you could feel it sizzling of the pages and you have to keep reading to see what would happen next and this book was so addictive. JH Croix is an amazing author and writer and I have read all of her books and I have never been disappointed. I definitely recommend you read this book and others by her and you will definitely not be disappointed.

Daphne heads to Alaska to escape after the previous year and a half of her life. Flynn runs an adventure resort in Alaska and has experienced his own struggles in life. Daphne and Flynn meet when he has to rescue her from the side of the road. They didn’t get off on the right foot, however, there was a connection between them.
I felt for Daphne. She experienced a lot of loss, pain and heartbreak in such a short amount of time, yet she keeps going. She keeps fighting and moving on with her life despite the heartache. Flynn also has experienced a lot, after the loss of his mother he quickly had to leave his military life and take care of his younger siblings and treading that line as brother and parent.
I loved the chemistry between Daphne and Flynn. They both truly needed each other to heal and to find happiness. Their souls needed each other to heal. I loved seeing everything progress for them. They started off thinking they didn’t like each other, however, things quickly start to shift and everything becomes more.
Crash Into You is a beautiful story that will have you falling in love right along with Daphne and Flynn.
This book was such a heartwarming read with wonderfully created characters that I was totally captivated from the very beginning! Both Daphne and Flynn were strong characters who have suffered great losses and as each page was turned I really rooted them on as a couple!
Another fantastic read from J.H. Croix! I loved Flynn and Daphne’s story. Daphne went through so much with losing her son and her cheating husband. She never expected to find more then just some time away in Alaska. Flynn didn’t have time for romance or anything else with him running the resort and raising his 16 year old sister. But sparks flew and their chemistry was off the charts. I loved everything about this book. I loved Flynn ‘s siblings and friends and I hope we get books on all of them finding their happily ever afters!

Flynn and Daphne’s story is a heartwarming story of two people struggling with what life has thrown at them coming together and finding the love they need. I love every book set in Diamond Creek and even though this is the start of a new series it is really great when we get to visit with old friends from previous stories. This story is full of great characters and Flynn and Daphne have great chemistry, there is drama and romance, a little stream and lots of family dynamics. I look forward to the next book in this series.
I loved going back to Diamond Creek (well, as close as we could get without being in the city) and getting to know the new gang at Walker Adventures Resort. Flynn was a hard nut to crack as he’d lived the life of a man burdened with obligations. Daphne was hard to read since she’d closed herself off after surviving the worst kind of loss. It was beautiful to see them open up to each other, as well as to the opportunity of the kind of life neither had even dared dream for themselves. This was a VERY slow burn, but the anticipation and angst made up for the wait! I just wanted them to throw themselves at each other but both were exceedingly cautious about how much to give into. The character and story development were superb and I was riveted from start to finish. I love books that give me warm fuzzies!

Daphne found herself in Alaska. She had a bad year and half with her son dying of a rare form of brain cancer and a divorce from her husband. So the first place she saw on the map was Walker Adventures resort. She met Flynn on her way there , he saw her from the air so he came to met her. Flynn is the owner, he flyers planes and select the chef. . Daphne was to spend a month at the resort. When she met Flynn her skin tingle when he touched her . He said she gave off the Princess Vibe so that what he called her. Flynn came from the air force to help when his mother died. Daphne had a restaurant in Atlanta before her child got sick. She loves to bake and cook. She even help Flynn little sister Cat learn some cooking skills . Cat is 16 and she gave Flynn a lot of lip. This is story of Flynn and Daphne with all the up and down where they learn each other . You will see a interfering mom in a plane crash and many more things . You will enjoy all the family with Flynn sisters and brother plus all the pilots that came in and out of the resort

Intense. Captivating. Unpredictable. Tempting. Unforgettable. Warm and fuzzy has no place in the worlds that J.H. Croix creates. Stories like Crash Into You pull you in by your heartstrings. The beauty of characters like Daphne and Flynn is that they could be anyone. Their heartache could touch any of us. Croix forces emotions to feel the burn. From painful to hopeful, we feel.
Crash Into You is the perfect start of this amazing new series! I can’t wait to see what comes next for the men and women of the Alaskan Adventure Resort! Daphne has always lived the good life… or so she thought until the past year. After her family and husband betrayed her and she lost her son she needs a break away from everything known to heal. Little does she know Flynn is waiting in that Alaskan wilderness. Can a wealthy city girl and an adventurous pilot from the wilds of Alaska have anything in common other than a hot fling? This book is a must read! J.H. Croix is one of my favorite authors and this book shows why!

This is a wonderful start to a new series by J.H. Croix. I love her series of books that are set in Alaska and this is no exception. Daphne decided to go vacation in Alaska to get away from the terrible last year of her life. Not only did her four year old son die from cancer but her husband cheated on her with her “best friend”. As Daphne is traveling to the resort, she gets lost because of no GPS signal in the mountains, then her car gets stuck, and a bear is outside her car. Flynn is looking for her since she didn’t arrive at the resort. Their meeting is epic. He’s a grumpy pilot and she’s upset because of getting lost. But there are some sparks. Beside the fact that Flynn has been raising his siblings since both parents died and tries to be both a parent and brother to them, he’s stretched really thin trying to make money for his youngest sister to go to college. Since he’s so grumpy, he can’t keep a cook for the resort. Daphne overhears and offers to help since she used to own a bakery. They both need each other and it’s a journey for them to figure that out. I enjoyed the book very much and can’t wait for the next one in this series. I received an ARC from Booksprout and I’m leaving my honest review.
Hard to put down 5 stars – Love this new book from this author! It deals with heavy topics like cancer and death but it still has the trademark sweet and steamy romance. Flynn and Daphne’s romance will pull you in. Daphne’s background story gives me a heavy heart. Flynn has a great family with Grant, Nora and Cat and is surrounded by good friends from the Air Force – all wonderful characters I can’t wait to read about! [I received an advanced copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.]
Believable, Relatable and Swoon-Worthy!!
I always feel good when I finish a J.H Croix Story. I adored these characters, and wanted so hard for their connection to work out.
Flynn left the Air Force when his mother died to raise his three younger half-siblings. Running an adventure lodge and flying with old military teammates. His focus is on work, raising his siblings and making sure they have money for college.
Daphne has had multiple emotional hits. She lost a son, a cheating ex-husband, and someone who professed to be her friend. Her parents are pushing her to reconcile as ex-husband as he is a big part of the family business. Fed up, she decides to spend a month in Alaska.
It is apparent she does not belong in the “wilderness”. Yet she doesn’t back down from anything or anyone, and befriends all who are around her. A ray of sunshine despite the ordeal she has suffered.
I literally could not put this one down. The secondary characters are fabulous also – and I look forward to getting their stories in future stories.

Crash Into You is my latest favorite book by this author and the very promising start of a new series.
Back on the scene in Alaska, Ms. Croix pulls out all the stops and convinces with authentic-looking characters who have been badly shaken by life. After several heavy blows of fate, Daphne is on a self-discovery trip in the wilderness of Alaska. She is vacationing at the lodge of Flynn, who not only runs the lodge, but also has to care for three orphaned half-siblings and is also a pilot. The chemistry between the two is off the charts hot and causes the book pages to smoulder …
This book is full of intense emotions and has touched me deeply. A new reading highlight from the pen of this highly esteemed author.
