Crash Into You by J.H. Croix is another 5 … no 6 star read by one of my favorite authors
It’s a character driven story about two people who realize that together they are better and stronger than they are apart. This book, the start of a new series (Dare With Me) is set in Alaska and connects with the Last Frontier Lodge series.
Daphne as a main character is STRONG … she’s honest and knows what she wants … but more importantly what she doesn’t want. She’s been through the worst life can throw at someone and is stronger for it. She knows she needs a break and change of scenery, which is how she ends up in Alaska.
Flynn had his carefree days as a military guy abruptly cut short when he had to come home and take care of his siblings. Ever since, he’s been working 7 days a week, around the clock, building a resort that will bring stability to his family. He’s trying to keep all the balls in the air when he and Daphne meet up.
This story will warm your heart and having you canceling appointments and putting off household chores. Download today, settle into your favorite reading spot, and curl up with this book. You’ll be happy you did … and prepare your self to download Ms Croix’s other books as well. This author is that good and her other books need to be on your TBR!

J.H. Croix
Daphane ser out on the trip to Alaska that her deceased four year old always wanted to take. After a year of nearly crazed grief, she was anxious to get away from a cheating ex, who still worked for her parent’s company. Little did she know that she and Flynn, the cranky manager/owner of the resort she planned to visit for a month, would have such hot chemistry. When the cook left, she pitched in and wowed everyone with her talent for cooking and baking, the same talent that made her restaurant in Atlanta successful. She was eventually hired and became Flynn’s regular side dish. In spite of her love for Flynn, will she return from Atlanta when her mother comes for her? Will Flynn and his buddy die when their plane crashes? The love Flynn has for his siblings and male employees makes this an especially good read!
Crash Into You: A Dare With Me Novel
Flynn and Daphne are adorable together! I loved their story!
Received this ARC and am leaving an honest review.
4.5 Stars
This is book one in the Dare With Me series and it features Daphne and Flynn. They both have tons of family responsibilities. She was able to escape hers and go to Diamond Creek, Alaska, where she meets Flynn and his family. I love that she had the courage to leave the toxic people behind and take time to breathe again. This adventure of hers turned into SO much more than she expected. They both have had their share of tragedy and they deserve some happiness.
This story line is fantastic! I love the setting and the awesome characters. I can’t wait for more!
I loved this book Another awesome book by JH Croix.
Both Daphne and Flynn have been though major losses that affected their lives in major ways. Flynn loosing his career in the Air Force because his mom died and he had to go home and take care of his minor siblings. He is always working so he could put the two older one through college and the youngest still in high school so he is still working all the time to have enough money put away for her college. Because he is always working he is always grumpy. Daphne lost her 4 year old son to brain cancer and while he was dying found out that her husband was cheating on her with her friend. After she finally gets her act back together, she decides to go to Alaska for a month because her son has always wanted to go there. Can they help each other to finally heal and find a lasting love?
Crash into You was a fantastic romance that will keep you entertained from start to finish. I really enjoyed it. I am voluntarily leaving my honest review after reading this arc.
A brand new series set in Alaska. The story is about Flynn and Daphne. Da-home has live a nightmare the year prior and heads to Alaska on vacation. She lost her 4 year old son from cancer and to make matters much worse, her husband cheated on her with her BFF. Daphne gets lost on her way there because the GPS doesn’t work in the mountains – on top her car gets stuck, and a bear is outside her car. Flynn is looking for her since she didn’t t arrive at the resort. Their meeting is epic. He’s a grumpy pilot and she’s upset because of getting lost. But there are some sparks. Beside the fact that Flynn has been raising his siblings since both parents died and tries to be both a parent and brother to them. Flynn is a grumpy guy but loyal and kind to those he loves and cares for.

This book had me laughing and crying and cringing in just the first few pages, let alone the rest of the book; one minute I would be laughing so hard then the next I would be gritting my teeth or crying and I loved every minute of reading Daphne and Flynn’s story. Daphne decides to take a month long vacation at a resort in Alaska. On her way there, she gets stuck and watches a bear come eat at the blueberry bush and then she is rescued by Flynn. The snark is deep and the physical attraction sparks are flying fast and furious. Flynn is jaded and worn out after having to work hard to take care of his siblings and he doesn’t really remember how to have fun. Daphne harbors a deep hurt, but still finds joy in the little things. Neither can deny the attraction they have for each other no matter how much they would like to do so. Of course Flynn’s family and his Army buddies are always willing to put in their two cents on how this relationship should go, but at least they do it because they care for Flynn’s happiness. Daphne’s parents on the other hand only seem to care about themselves and appearances over what makes Daphne happy. It might take a tragedy or an awakening for the truth to be revealed and for Daphne and Flynn to find their HEA, but I promise that you will enjoy reading every page to find out what happens at the end and have you looking forward to the next book in the series.

What a way to start a new series. This book is the first book of the Dare With Me series and I can’t wait for the next book. The book is set in Alaska and Flynn is the owner of a lodge and also a pilot. Daphne is a recently divorced woman who recently lost the son. With everything going wrong in her life she decides she needs a vacation. This book was very hard to put down. It is full of drama, trauma, chemistry, sweet, steamy, and makes you want to go travel to Alaska. What a great read.

JH Croix has done it again! Given us an angsty, sexy, swoony story filled with amazing characters. Daphne was fleeing from some painful events that had recently occurred in her life. Heading to Alaska was her way of getting away from all the emotional stress and a place to clear her mind. Flynn was not looking for love as he has a family to care for and was working very hard to make sure his business was a success. At their first chance meeting there were a few sparks, then it smoldered and then the heat and desire ignited. Flynn’s family and friends immediately embraced and fell in love with Daphne…didn’t take long for a Flynn to admit his love for her.
I received an arc of this book in exchange for a fair review.
J H Croix always writes stories with the characters are the main focus and where you are drawn into their lives and this one os no exception I loved every minute of this book and the scenic description had me wanting to head to Alaska this minute
Flynn has a life that is basically out of control he is flying visitors all over Alaska works as a hotshot firefighter and tries to wrangle a sixteen year old sister on top of this he is suffering form PTSD from his time ion the military and fighting those demons so his life goes totally of course when Daphne enters it. Daphne has her on demons she lost her son to a rare disease and instead of her husband supporting her he had an affair with her best friend and when she divorced him her family picked his side because they need him for the business Flynn knows she doesn’t belong in Alaska but maybe she does belong in his heart You will have to read to see if they do get a HEA
Daphne is a southern belle disenchanted with her life and grieving from terrible losses. She takes a break from her life in Atlanta and heads to Alaska and a town called Diamond Creek, a place JH Croix’s fans are very familiar with. We get to catch up with some old characters like Cammi, the Red Truck Coffee owner and Delia, the chef at the Frontier Lodge.
Flynn runs a wilderness resort his mother started before she died. Since her death, he returned home to run the lodge, raise his 3 half-siblings, and takes tourists on flight-seeing tours. Flynn and Daphne have a memorable first encounter and it takes Flynn awhile to see how wonderful Daphne is even though he’s attracted to her from the start. This is a complete opposites-attract story.
My favorite part was Daphne’s reactions when she encountered the bear. Priceless!
Flynn and Daphne are two strong independent people who find love when they least expect it.
I received an ARC from Booksprout. This is my honest review.
Oh my, I had a deja vu moment & then this impossibly possible story came to life…
I won’t detail the story which has been outlined by the blurb & previous reviews so I will just relate my feelings about this beautifully scripted love story…It was off the charts otherworldly for me in a country that rarely gets snow, certainly not in our province, but brutal Alaska was a perfect setting for the hardened locals & this remarkably adaptable woman who everyone instantly loved, petite, skilled, generous in spite of her grieving. She exuded caring & love & it came back tenfold. The hero, much as he cherished her, not only for her skills stepping in at his resort as a chef, was not good at expressing his feelings for this remarkable woman who made a huge impact on everyone she came in contact with. Eventually his brain acknowledged what everyone else already knew… the end, happy sigh! I received an arc & this is my honest & voluntary review.

Let’s talk about “Crash Into You by J.H. Croix”. This is the first book of the Dare With Me series.
This is an awesome beginning of a new series, there’s so much for me to love here: airplanes, pilots, Alaska! All of the things that I wish I had, be and go. The details of the scenes were so clear to me, that in my imagination I could really see the places and things happening. I wonder if the author have already been there, in Alaska.
The story goes around between Daphne and Flynn. After the death of her son and the caos with her ex-husband, Daphne is taking a month in Alaska to find herself again. In the first day there, she has many encounters, with a giant moose, a bear and then finally with Flynn.
He is the owner (with his family) of the resort she’s staying in and also the proud owner of a flying expedition business. He lives for his family and to work. So Daph and him start denying their attraction like the plague, but there was no hiding the awesome chemistry.
I loved everyone we are introduced in this book, Flynn’s family is amazing and their friends as well, of whom we’ll probably have many books to come. Well, I liked almost everyone. Daphne’s parents are awful, especially her spiteful mom, I wanted to crack her head. And I highlighted the book a lot during Daph’s conversation with her father.
Such an amazing beginning of the series that I can’t wait to read more, it was light, steamy, beautiful and lovable read. From her cooking skills, to friendships and a lot of planes, can’t wait to read more from this series.
Daphne Bell and Flynn Walker have soon become two of my most favorite characters, and their story kept me reading all night long, till I reached the end. Daphne has a heavy baggage, she lost her four-year son from cancer and she discovered her husband was cheating her with her best friend. Since he is running her parents’ firm, they didn’t want him to leave. So she decided to go to Alaska on holiday, at Flynn’s resort. He saves her from a bear, when she got lost driving to the resort, and there are immediately a huge chemistry between them. When Daphne finds out Flynn is looking for a cook, she offers to stay and fill the job.
I loved these characters, Daphne is a very strong woman, who struggles to rebuilt her own life, after all she went through. Flynn is rising his siblings after their parents’ death, and I loved his “teddy bear” side and I was happy they found their happy-ending.
This book confirmed what I already thought about this author… can’t wait for the next book of the series!
Crash Into You by J. H. Croix is an emotional, captivating, intriguing, enjoyable and steamy romance story of Flynn and Daphne..An ex-military pilot and a Southern chef/baker looking for a fresh start collide in the wilds of Alaska…Daphne went to alaska for a vacation and to scape and to move forward after her Divorce and the death of her son.She met Flynn when her rented car went to the ditch when she saw a bear and also Flynn is the owner of the resort with his sibling.their chemistry is off the charts but both of them is scared to open their heart because they dont want to be hurt and to hurt someone..but love is powerful and they only need is a little push..cant wait for the next one, well done! I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book
Daphne comes to Walkers Advetures to try to figure out what comes next. Flynn the owner comes to her rescue, getting her car out of the mud . The attraction is immediate but it takes them a while to realize it.
Always good to be back in Alaska
Another wonderful romance from Ms. Croix. I never have to wonder if I’ll enjoy the book when she’s the author. Every romance is HOT, emotional and very satisfying. This is another series set in Alaska and the scenery is breath taking. Reading her series I feel as if I’ve been to Alaska and experienced the beauty firsthand. This was Daphne & Flynn’s story. There were lots of twists and turns but it ends with a HEA. Daphne is a Southern girl who goes to Alaska to rediscover herself after a very tough year. Flynn owns the resort she’s staying at and he’s also a pilot. The chemistry between them is off the charts and it was really nice seeing their relationship develop. Can’t wait for the next book in this wonderful new series.

An Alaska Setting for Romance.
A heartfelt story about Daphne from Georgia who decides to go to Alaska and spend a month there to figure out her next steps. Daphne has gone through two devastating family events that has caused her to re-evaluate her life. By chance she picks a resort in Alaska owned by the handsome Flynn, who not only owns the resort but also a small airline for site-seeing and deliveries. He is the brother/parent to his three siblings when they lost their mother six years before and he left the Air Force to be with them.
The two main characters were written beautifully and with heart. To be honest there are parts that I became tearful but it was worth it in the end. I did end up reading this book in one sitting, it just flowed that seamlessly from chapter to chapter.
Highly recommending this book for your reading enjoyment and am looking forward to the next Alaskan couple, Elias and Cammi. Peace.
The new series completely captivated me from the start. Ms Croix never ceases to amaze me with her talent in
writing the best stories. Her characters are so well developed and the story line was extremely well written.
This book is filled with emotions that just tugged at my heart string in reading about the loss of Daphne’s son
and top it off a cheating husband. She needed to get away from everything and start a new chapter in life.
She decided to go to Alaska where she made a reservation at the lodge. Getting lost was not fun and encountering
a bear was the worst. Her car got stuck in the mud.
Flynn, ex military is a pilot and owner of the lodge noticed from flying over the area where Daphne was in is
distressed. He landed his plane and drove over to offer assistance. He knew exactly who she was.
There were sparks but both had issues with their lives. Flynn is busy taking care of the lodge and his siblings after
his parents died. Boy, when they got together…….WOW!! hot tamales!!.
Flynn is need of a chef and with Daphne experience she offered to help.
Will they both give love a second chance?
Will Daphne return home for good since her mother has been hounding her?
You will have to one click to find out.
I can’t wait for the next story to come out.
