A swoon-worthy romance from USA Today Bestselling Author J.H. Croix!Opposites attract in a big way when an ex-military pilots rescues a sassy Southern chef in small town Alaska.Daphne is everything I don’t need, and she makes me crazy in all the wrong ways. This princess does not belong in the wilderness. Or, so I think. But then, thought is hard to come by around Daphne.Between flying tourists … come by around Daphne.
Between flying tourists all over Alaska’s skies, hotshot firefighting on the side, and raising my sixteen-year old sister, I don’t have time for anything, much less for a woman.
But time’s been laughing at me ever since Daphne showed up. I can’t get her out of my mind, and my control has fled the building. Oh, and I’m her boss.
One night, just one night, I let things go too far. Now, all bets are off.
Daphne & Flynn’s story is perfect for readers who love small town romance, military heroes, sassy heroines, opposites attract, workplace/boss romance, slow burn, emotional romance with a dash of angst, plenty of steam and swoon, and a grumpy hero with a protective streak as big as Alaska.
*A full-length, standalone romance.

Alaska as backdrop for an unexpected discovery of finding love when you least expect it. I can so relate with the characters, as if they are my own friends. Prepare for your household to come to a stop until you finish this moving story.
Nice story with interesting characters. The story flows well and is well written. A great read!
Love this series of books set in Alaska. Highly recommend.
Great well written romance novel set in Alaska at a family’s resort. Hero and Heroine both have wounded past. But the book has very adult sex scenes midway. Recommend only for adult readers. I subtracted a star for the adult scenes.
Awesome book
Croix never disappoints
I am a very big fan of J.H.Croix’s stories set in and around Diamond Creek, Alaska! I have no clue if they are anything like Alaska really is like. I’ve only been once to Anchorage and once to Dutch Harbor… and that was somewhat like she writes.
I really really really like Daphne and the events she is recovering from. I was rooting for her all through the story. I really liked Cat and the angst of 16. Every character was a person I’d really enjoy knowing if they existed in real life.
Ok, for those who don’t like steamy sex… you can skim past it. This is rather well written steam but a tad bit repetitive.
I enjoyed this book! Great setting and sweet romance.
A light fun read . Daphne, running to recover from broken marriage and son who died finds a new life in Alaska with Flynn. Easy, fast romance.
What a wonderful way to start a series. This has sizzling chemistry, betrayal, loss, drama and so much more. Daphne signed up to spend a month at an adventure expedition resort in Alaska. Her four year old son Brandon died a year ago with devastated her. She use to have a restaurant in Atlanta and her ex cheated on her with a friend/coworker. She loved to cook and bake so she took out a loan to open her bakery and cafe.
Flynn flies tourist all over Alaska and is raising his sixteen year old sister Cat. His family owns Walker Adventure and is one of Alaska’s premier outdoor expedition resorts. He left the military seven years ago to come home and take care of his siblings (Grant, Nora and Cat) after his mother died. His business owns seven small planes.
This was so well written, has wonderful characters and a gripping storyline that will have you devouring the pages.
Daphne Bell has come to Alaska to escape her life back home after the death of her son, Brandon, and her ex, Pete cheating on her. She is ready to focus on herself for the next month although her mom wants her to return home.
Flynn Walker is a pilot, firefighter and ex air force who lives in Diamond Creek, Alaska. He is shocked when Daphne arrives in Diamond Creek and can tell she’s on the run from something.
Will Daphne find the peace she seeks in Alaska or will her past find a way of wrecking everything she has worked so hard for?
This was such a great book and I enjoyed it from start to finish.
My heart completely broke for Daphne as I completely understand the toll a sick child can take on a relationship. I loved that she chose somewhere completely different and peaceful to get away as I think Alaska would provide the solitude one needed.
Flynn was a great character who truly worked his butt off with being a pilot and running a b&b as well. He was definitely full of life and a few times very inappropriate with his comments. He was judgmental of Daphne until he got to know her better.
I liked when Daphne and Flynn flew out to drop off goods for Henry Stanton as the overnight trip changed things between them and things began to go really well between them.
I was also super happy when Daphne changed her plans after Tonya quits as I knew she had found the peace she was after.
I loved how things began to progress and I loved the relationship between Cat and Daphne as it was what both of them needed.
I was super mad at Daphne’s mom for being so insensitive but I liked that Daphne was able to make amends with her dad.
I was super sad when Daphne thought she and Flynn were on different pages in their lives and then the next part of the book broke my heart and I was freaking a little!!
The end made me do such a happy dance and I was so happy with how it all ended!!
“Crash Into You” was the first book I’ve ever read by J.H. Croix, but it definitely will not be the last! I absolutely loved this funny, sweet, and heartwarming story and highly recommend it for all fans of emotional contemporary romance.
Main characters Daphne and Flynn had both faced more than their fair share of heartbreak, but the worst of their struggles took place before the story began. Learning the details of their pasts broke my heart, but IMO this story was more about trying to move forward and build a new life after suffering unimaginable loss than it was about the loss itself. Flynn and Daphne seemed to be uniquely able to understand each other because of their past experiences, and it was very easy for me to root for them to find happiness together. Their attraction was obvious from the moment they met, and the growth of their relationship felt very natural and perfectly paced. I especially loved how protective Flynn was of Daphne and how well she immediately fit in with him and his younger siblings.
The book’s secondary characters were just as likeable as Flynn and Daphne themselves, particularly Flynn’s younger siblings and his fellow pilots. I could see several of them starring in future books of the series. I look forward to seeing what’s next for this group in book #2!

This is book one in the Dare with Me series. I always love a new series and Flynn and Daphne start this one off perfectly! Flynn is an ex military pilot, attempting to raise his teenage sister and Daphne is a southern chef, all in the beautiful Alaskian backdrop, what could go wrong? Or maybe in this case, right? I love picking up this author’s stories as they are always well written with a great story, amazing characters and of course, a healthy dash of steaminess. I look forward to more in this series. Enjoy!

A long time ago, I fell in love with Diamond Creek, Alaska back when Marley met Gage at the last Frontier Lodge. JH Croix has created a village full of characters that you love, built on family and friendship and Crash Into You is no exception.
Flynn and Daphne have a super smoldering, slow burning chemistry from the very start. Daphne is independent, and keeps her cards close, while Flynn is focused on growing his adventure business.
The chemistry in this book builds and just when you think you can’t handle it anymore, it combusts. There’s so much more than just chemistry though. There’s old hurts and heartbreaks and navigating new dynamics, but it’s so worth it.

Oh the feels, the heat and the total right of these two characters together. All the other stuff is just fun. I loved the book (as I expected to). This author always delivers a well structured read with characters you’ll cheer for, realistic story lines and a darn good read. This is a safe bet if you like an HEA, like realistic characters and love watching them fall in love (even though you know they’ll get there, sometimes it isn’t that easy).
This is a heartwarming story that will have you falling in love with flynn and daphne. Daphne comes to Alaska for a break and meeting flynn who runs the resort and is taking care of his three siblings. Will sparks fly for these two?

I keep on fallin’… innnnn love with you
Flynn Walker is everything a woman could ask for. Not only is he physically a knockout but he is also a family man. There is nothing he would not do for his family and his actions have shown that time and time again. The one thing that Flynn does not do is carve out a life for himself. As the sole owner of the family business Flynn, along with his staff, has his hands full ensuring that the business grows to ensure that everyone is taken care of.
Daphne Bell is a woman on a mission… to take control of her life. Daphne has survived a loss that would bring the strongest men to their knees. It is amazing she is in her right mind but Daphne is determined to grow from her loss and come out better despite how her family has used her for their own needs. The best way for her to do that is to take some time for herself to determine exactly what it is that she wants in Alaska.
They say that first impressions are everything and first impressions between Flynn and Daphne was epic! For the first time in a long time Daphne felt alive in the presence of a man and Flynn experienced some of what he has been missing in life when he met Daphne.
This is a couple whose physical attraction just crackles and vibrates between but with so many emotional land mines between the both of them will they be able to make something of their attraction? The support and love these two receive from all around them is what real family is all about and not all family is blood. I absolutely loved these two and found myself rooting for them from the beginning! The writing flowed easily and the supporting characters were full of depth and support. The physical attraction was absolutely there but there was depth in the h and H as well that gave a richness to the relationship… Absolutely beautiful!!!

Crash into You is a swoon-worthy story about finding love after loss.
Daphne has experienced a lot of loss in a very short time and is finally taking some time for herself to try and heal. Flynn is taking life one day at a time trying to run a business, take care of his siblings and let go of his past. From the minute they lay eyes on each other it’s an instant attraction which, because of their pasts and their lives, try to deny their attraction to each other but there is no denying the chemistry they share.
A great start to a new series from J.H. Croix. I was invested in the story right from page one. My heart literally broke in two for Daphne. Tissues are needed for this story. Flynn and Daphne help each other heal which makes the slow burn totally worth the wait. I loved getting to know Flynn, Daphne and the side characters and can not wait for the next book in this series.
4 stars
Great read from an intriguing, new-to-me author J. H. Croix. This book is the first in her new Dare with Me series.
Most women cut their hair when they need a change. Not Daphne, this put together southern princess books a month away in the remote Alaskan wilderness! After a year of discovery pain and intense heartbreak, Daphne decides she needs a break, a true “departure from her life” and she certainly gets it in the wilds of Alaska. When the welcoming party to the resort she’s staying at are a moose and a bear, she knows she’s deeply out of her element but it’s the sexy resort owner/pilot that scares her the most. Hes dangerous to her wounded heart.
Flynn is too busy for a relationship. He’s owner of the resort, a full-time bush pilot, part-time firefighter, and he’s raising his 16 year old sister, to say he’s got a lot on his plate is a massive understatement. But he also keeps himself busy to avoid thinking too much about why he avoids relationships and the demons of war. The last thing he expected was for the woman who stirs him up to also be the one who quiets his soul and makes them a family.
Great swoony read from this new to me author. Looks like I’ll be reading more about this wild land I’ve always wanted to visit!

I absolutely love J H Croix! Crash Into You is a fantastic book. Daphne is on vacation in Alaska to get away from her horrific last year. Daphne’s 4 year old son died from a rare brain cancer, and her husband cheated on her with one of her friends. On top of that, her ex is still involved with her father’s business, and her parents want her to forgive and move on. Daphne gets lost while traveling to the resort and ends up stuck along side of the road with a bear outside her vehicle. Flynn left his military career to come home and take care of his siblings after his mother passed away. Flynn worked hard to build up the business to make enough money to put his siblings through college. Flynn is flying overhead when he spots Daphne’s vehicle stranded. Flynn is able to get Daphne’s vehicle out and has Daphne follow him to the lodge. The chemistry between Flynn and Daphne is off the charts. When another cook quits the resort, Daphne offers to cook for the resort since she once owned a bakery. Can Flynn and Daphne heal each other? Will Daphne choose to stay in Alaska with Flynn? Can Flynn and Daphne find their happily ever? I loved Crash Into You by J H Croix. Crash Into You is a fantastic book with great characters. J H Croix is a must read author for this reader. I would highly recommend getting Crash Into You by J H Croix.
