Maggie is back in town after leaving 3 years ago. Crash has never forgotten their night together. They both have secrets from their pasts. Each trying to shield each other but knowing they have to open up and let each other in.
They both still love each other but will there be enough to build on again after all the secrets are out? Will there be forgiveness for what has been done?
This is the first book that I’ve read by this author and I am definitely adding the first two books in this series on my tbr.
This is book three in the Daring the Kane Brothers series. I have to say, I have read each book and I love these series. Each book can be read on its own but reading them all is worth it. This story is about Crash and Maggie Mae, it is sorta like a second chance but without either one knowing as for one, Cash didn’t think the marriage was real and two Maggie Mae wants a divorce as she thinks Cash wants nothing to do with her. This is all further complicated as Cash’s best friend, Josh, who is Maggie Mae’s brother dies. These two have so much history together and it is frustratingly beautiful how they work through it all.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Crash checked all the boxes for me. Second chance? Sibling’s best friend? Complicated situation with layers and layers of poorly expressed emotions and real chemistry? CHECK.
Crash and Maggie are a match in all ways but they (and the universe plus circumstances and coincidental timing) have come up with lots of reasons they shouldn’t be together. After a fake marriage, time has brought them back together – can they figure it all out or implode?
Just a fun ride to take with these characters. I like them both but definitely want to shake them both as well and just make them sit in a room and talk it out. Nothing new here, this is often my emotional state when it comes to second chance romances!
A good series worth picking up if you like this kind of read!
Crash was Josh’s best friend and Maggie Mae is his sister. After Josh’s death Crash has guilt. Maggie always had a crush on Crash. A drunken night in Vegas leaves them married. After years of being away Maggie is back in town. She wants a divorce from Crash. What Maggie never knew was Crash wanted her too, he just didn’t act because of Josh. Hold on folks this is gonna get interesting.

Crash received an unexpected visit from Maggie, wanting a divorce! Things spiral from there. Both are still in love with each other. I liked Crash and even Maggie, they have endearing qualities. It was a cute story.
So much healing is needed in this book. So Crash and Maggie have a history. She was the little sister who hung out with him and Josh all the time. Fast forward to now. They did something huge in Vegas. Crash thought he had it handled but fate had other things in mind for them. I seriously loved Crash. He has a very dedicated family that supports and loves him despite what happened. The one part I can’t figure out is why Nascar kicked him out. I mean it was Josh who did wrong but I guess it was guilty by association. Maggie is dealing with the aftermath and her mom’s health at the same time. She has a lot on her plate at the moment. She seems to be handling it all somewhat well. The problem… telling Crash their still married and she wants a divorce. This does not go over well as you can imagine. I loved how Crash dismissed her and wants to prove that they are good together. I loved both characters and the plot twist the author put in. I swear I didn’t see it coming but I was hoping for it. I will definitely looking up the other books in this series and reading them!
Crash is book 3 in this standalone series The Kane Brothers. Those who have read the series to date have seen small bits of him but he has been a quiet mystery so far. If you love second change romance mixed with best friend little sister, one click and start turning the pages.
Maggie Mae’s return to town opens many wounds and creates lots of unanswered questions. Crash has struggled since he last saw her three years ago. But neither of them were in a good space back then. They didn’t get to deal with the feelings opened up from their one night in Vegas, nor were they able to be there for each other while dealing with the loss of the person that tied them together.
The chemistry between these characters had good sparks. Crash takes on full Alpha and decides she is taking control of the situation. Even though they have had this long period of time away from each other, they both trust in one another. She willingly lets him do what needs to be done to get rid of her troubles, she never second guesses him when she discovers the one thing he has yet to tell her. Even his family didn’t do that.
After all the time, secrets and omissions, is it possible for Crash and Maggie to find their HEA and move forward in a better place? So worth the time to read this book and find out.

Broken hearts get mended
Crash gets a surprise visit from the one person he never thought would come back to town, Maggie Mae!
Maggie left town soon after her brother died and hasn’t been back to town in three years. Now she’s back to get Crash to sign divorce papers to make sure he isn’t involved in a situation that could have possibly followed her home But Crash surprises her more and more after each interaction between them.
A fantastic story of an off-limits relationship that stands the test of time and more I can’t wait to read the next brother, Nix’s story
Crash by Kelly Gendron is the third book in the Daring the Kane Brothers series and the first book I have read from both the author and in the series. Though I enjoyed this book, I did at times feels like a lot happened prior to this book. After a few chapters I felt a bit more caught up to what is happening.
Maggie Mae and Crash Kane were “married” years ago, but Crash thought it was not real. So, after Maggie’s brother and Crash’s best friend died, he let her go. Now she is back and demanding a divorce. Though they both know they should stay far away from each other, their attraction is unquestionable. But with so many secrets, lies and obstacles between them, can they ever truly move forward?
Crash by Kelly Gendron was angsty, emotional, and had a bit of suspense. Though at times I was a bit lost, the story and characters were interesting and the chemistry between Maggie and Crash steamy.

I was pulled right into this story. The story has secrets, laughs, naughty fun, panty melting alpha, and heartbreak.
If you have not read the below I would recommend reading those books(s) first as Token crossed over into Zeke’s book of the below series. Lurlene is Token’s sister:
Jax (Breaking the Declan Brothers #1)
SLATE (Breaking the Declan Brothers #2)
ZEKE (Breaking the Declan Brothers #3)
Token (Daring the Kane Brothers #1)
Steele (Daring the Kane Brothers, #2)
This is Maggie and Crash’s story. Maggie and Crash married three years ago on a dare. Then Crash’s best friend and Maggie’s brother died the next day. That blew them both away and she ran. Now she is back, and he has to figure out if he wants a forever or to let her go? She is keeping secrets that could hurt them both what happens when those secrets come out? Will they be able to figure out what they need before they both lose each other? The chemistry between these two is off the charts but is it enough for them to build a forever on?
I loved both characters. Got a glimpse of all the other brothers in this series and have to save I can’t wait for their stories. I felt I could connect with the characters and the story was a great read.
I highly recommend this book.
I received a copy and voluntarily left a review and all opinions are my own.
Ever since reading Kelly Gendron’s Declan brother series, I have been obsessed with her writing. So any chance I get to step into one of her fictional worlds and fall in love with another one of her scrumptious heroes and sassy heroines, I am all for it! The fact that it was a best friend/second chance romance just had me salivating all the more and impatiently wanting to meet Crash and Maggie. It wasn’t long and Kelly had me completely immersed in their world and more than willing to get to know these two a little more up close and personal.
Crash Kane is all kinds of delicious with his good looks, blue collar alpha “take charge” attitude, and his ever crumbling will power to restrain from succumbing to the likes of the sexy Maggie. I couldn’t wait to get to know this hero whose heart is stuck in the past, whether he wants to admit it or not. I wanted to heal all his wounds and watch the fireworks explode between him and Maggie.
Maggie Mae is a mystery that I couldn’t wait to uncover. The more I learned about this headstrong heroine, the more I was cheering her on for breaking down Crash’s walls that surround his heart. Maggie shows her spunk while also wearing her heart on her sleeve, which completely belongs to Crash and has since she was a teenager. If there was ever a heroine that needed rescuing from herself, it is most definitely Maggie. Trouble finds this girl wherever she is!
Kelly Gendron delivers a love story with history and the pain that goes along with it that we can’t wait to see the characters overcome and conquer in each other’s arms. I highly recommend the newest romance in Kelly’s “Daring The Kane Brothers” series for a story that is sure to crash into your body and soul in ways that you will never recover. I cannot wait until we get more of these handsome and dangerous looking brothers and get swept away all over again!

When I read the blurb for Crash, I was instantly intrigued. Being my first read from this author, I didn’t really know what to expect, but I will tell you my pros and cons. I absolutely loved how the story flowed. It was set at a nice pace, and the story line held true to what I thought it would. I have always been a sucker for falling for your best friends brother / brothers best friend, I think maybe because I live it. The twists and turns was also really welcomed. The chemistry was just there as well, it was like when you know your heart is in sync with someone else, you feel it, and I felt Crash and Maggie’s attraction towards one another. There was some things that I didn’t like. I knew going into this story that it was considered a standalone series, BUT I feel like from what I read that, reading the previous books would have made a lot of things make more sense. Secondly, I feel like on a lot of aspects some issues were resolved to quickly. I mean they were some pretty significant issues, that normally wouldn’t have been handled that quickly. Third, I do not know much about the racing world, so to me, I couldn’t identify with some of the terms used. I mean I don’t need a definition, but if it could have been explained a little bit more clearly, I would have understood what was being said. Lastly, I feel like I seen a crap ton of exclamation points, and every time I seen one I thought of screaming, which in turn wasn’t the case for every time it was used.
Maggie isn’t your typical girly girl. She knows all about the racing world and is not afraid to get dirty. She is brave, and doesn’t get intimidated easily. Deep down she has a good heart, and always does what she thinks is best.
Crash is that guy that loves cars. Almost every car. He is super hard on himself but deep down, he has a good heart. He is loyal to a fault, a great friend and brother.
When circumstances brings Maggie back to town, Crash is forced to face the truth. Will that be by Maggie’s side or by his lonesome?
Overall this story isn’t bad, and I would really like to read something else from this author to truly get a feel for them. I actually think most will enjoy this story, and for that I do recommend it.

This book was so much fun! It kept me entertained throughout. It is definitely a keeper. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book in exchange for a free copy.
This is such a good book. There are lies we tell to protect the ones we care about the most, our families, friends, the love of our life. Protection of a best friend and brother almost costs two people who were made for each other to lose each other forever.
Crash Kane has been picking himself up from the devastation of his best friend’s death while racing a NASCAR. Crash was banned from driving after Josh was killed in an accident while driving at a NASCAR race. Crash is trying to pull its life back together, he’s opened a garage and works on cars with his now only friend Jaggs, she’s a real tough woman who takes no trouble from anyone.
Maggie Mae is Josh’s half little sister and she’s been in love with Crash since she was 12 years old. She’s a real handful. Crash has loved her for as long as he can remember, but you don’t go after your best friend’s little sister! One drunken night in Las Vegas Crash and Maggie got married, that same night Josh died in the racing accident. With the devastating phone call telling them that Josh is gone they blame themselves for the accident and split ways.
Three years later Maggie’s back and she’s asking Crash for a divorce. Why now? Does she not love him any more? Is she with someone else? Find out why and all the other secrets that Maggie and Crash are keeping not only from each other but from everyone else.
Great continuation in the Daring the Kane Brothers Series.
I really enjoyed Crash and Maggie’s story it is a great read and a super addition to the series really well written with lots of twists and turns I was completely hooked and did not want to stop reading. If you have read and enjoyed the previous book then you will want to give this a read I would definitely recommend it.
I loved this story. It had me laughing and crying. The characters were wonderful, relatable and well developed. I cannot wait to read the rest of the books in this series!

Soooo Good!!
After disaster struck leaving Crash and Maggie in a bed in Vegas and learning of Josh’s death things went downhill from there. Josh was Maggie’s brother and best friends with Crash. They’ve been friends since childhood and Maggie was always the little sister that tagged around after them whenever she could. Crash knew the “bro code” of keeping your hands off the best friend’s little sister but that didn’t stop Maggie from having the feelings she did for Crash. After Josh’s funeral Maggie took off and Crash was kicked out of NASCAR. There were so many secrets which didn’t come to light until years later. Now Maggie’s back and she needs Josh to sign divorce papers….wait, what?!! Oh, yeah they were married in Vegas. Or were they?
There are so many twists and turns in this book that I couldn’t put it down. I had to get to the bottom of things just like Maggie and Crash were trying to do. Secret after secret is revealed only to keep my head spinning. Excellent writing job yet again and I’ve come to expect nothing else from this author. She knows how to pull you in and keep you at the edge of your seat.
For 3 years Crash has been incomplete. His attitude towards life hasn’t been the same and something or better yet someone is missing. When the wife he thought he fake married comes back to town she brings a world of trouble with her. But he could never say no to her and this will be no exception. He is not giving her what she is asking for but he will certainly give her what she needs and secretly but desperately wants. I was very surprised with how mature Crash’s character was. On the other hand Maggie has made some pretty bad decisions but the one that was good, was to come home to her man. And she is his biggest supporter. The one that never doubts him. The one that makes him feel valued. She is also learning the right decisions to make. This story has some surprising twists and I really liked how realistic the process is to dealing with and solving the obstacles.
