Justin Woodward is one of the best new authors I have come across in a long time. I’ve read EVERYTHING I can get my hands on of his and am NEVER disappointed. The action is fast, and the stories are truely imaginative. Plot twists and endings that make you say, “WHOA!!” No matter which of his books you read he always leaves you wanting for more. A REAL favorite!!
This is by far my favorite book in the series so far. The plot and storyline really open the world up into an even more immersive adventure that leaves you gasping, scared, or with goosebumps or any combo of the three! This book really delved deep into the emotional side of the entire experience, making it even more scary if thats possible! I have read this genre so much over the last twenty ish years that I have become unflappable, but this one lingered even days later! I loved it, and now my teenage son is reading it and loving it so far! (THANK YOU!!!! He hates to read!) I love it, thank you for not only a stellar story, but one capable of scaring the most hardened fan!
This is my favorite book of the series to date. I read this during the COVID pandemic and I kept relating the monsters to the virus as they kept recreating and coming on strong. I absolutely couldn’t put this book down. It is hard to believe that two writers have shared this creation since the writing is so seamless and so imaginative. It is hard for me to find a sci-fi that I adore from the plot to the characters to the outcome but this one is a slam dunk. I am particularly fond of how the authors grab the attention of the reader by the different styles of writing (some in the heads of the characters, some in interviews to plant a seed, some in timed thought processes). It is very clever. WOW!
Foster and Woodward have hit their stride! The third installment of the Reality Bleed series is the sharpest yet. There is so much to love about this series and this particular installment, I will try to break it down. First I have to say the characters are well written and three dimensional. Alice Winters is a badass and one of my favorite female characters written by men. I am 100% invested in her. Also the villains, oh lord, some are human, some are not, but they are all vile and unique and greatly entertaining. The atmosphere is so terrifying. I find myself getting second hand anxiety for the characters. Another thing I love about these books is the length, they are perfect for a one sit read, which is really what you need because you can’t put them down once you start. I think one of the most important things about this series is that it feels plausible, which is ridiculous considering the subject matter, but these authors have created a world that feels real, real enough to frighten you. I don’t know if I consider this a pro or a con, but they absolutely leave you hanging and dying for more at the conclusion of each book. Both of these authors are great on their own but their collaborative work is on another level, you might even say it is out of this world(I couldn’t help myself). This series is inexpensive and easy to read so you really have nothing to lose. READ THESE BOOKS!
I opened this books with questions running threw my head. Will the crew make it off mars and back to earth? Did the creature make it onto the ship? Who’s still alive and who has died?!? COME ON I CAN’T TAKE IT ANYMORE!!! Book three is going to have you turning every page until you get to the end just to be pissed that you have to wait till the next ones releases… or wait…. maybe that’s me, na can’t just be me
