Ellen Hopkins writes about true life events in fiction form. In “Crank” Kristina goes to visit her dad and gets addicted to meth while out there. The story is about her finding “love” and her drug addiction. Ellen Hopkins is one of my favorite authors. I love the way she writes and the topics she chooses to write about.
This is one of the best books to read, its about a woman who gets a walk with the monster(drugs) and how it changes her life she finds her true love with in the first 10 chapters

Before she started taking drugs she was a kid on the high honor roll with a lot of friends and a bright future. She develops an alter ego, she calls Bree, who will do anything Kristina won’t. She …
