Great story line. Enjoyed the book!
This is based on a true story and all I can say is WOW! JT is a true villain and Liz was nicer and stronger than I would have been. The end had me in tears (good tears). This story definitely takes a look at how much a parent and/or family will endure.
I found the story wonderful
Great story. Got bogged down a bit in the middle. Great ending.
An interesting, tragic and unpredictable story which I found difficult to put down. This story was so entertaining that at some point I most certainly intend to read it a second time. Ms.Crosby weaved a story that held my interest from the beginning to the very end and should you choose to read the book I think you will agree!
Loved this book….first time with author….couldn’t put down.
Excellent book.
There were some twists in it.
slow start but picks up quickly
i enjoyed it, great read,
Oh my gosh….what to say about this book. The lengths parents will go through for their children is very much an understatement in this true story. Breaks my heart knowing what this family went through but what an awesome ending. Excellent, excellent story!!!!
This is not the first Bette Lee Crosby book that I’ve read and it won’t be the last. All Clare McDermott ever wanted was a family with many children, but as things sometimes happen, she was blessed with just …
Please read about grandparents rights. Love it.
Fantastic
Great read. Almost in same situation
This is a story about Mr. & Mrs. McDermott, their daughter Elizabeth McDermott Caruthers and the deplorable [husband] JT Caruthers. The doctors discovered that Elizabeth has an incurable brain tumor. They had to do a C-Section to save her unborn baby. JT can’t handle that his wife is very sick so he abandons his wife by telling her she can’t come …
Some scenarios were over the top. Overall I felt the frustration and was deeply engrossed.
I highly recommend this book. It was truly a page turner.
I truly enjoy Bette Lee Crosby books, so much so that I have a list of titles (in order) of her different stories. Thus, I was curious about the title and delved right into it. Claire, a central figure, has one child Elizabeth (Liz). Liz marries at a young age to a young man Jeffrey Caruthers (aka JT) who neither of her parents are thrilled with. …
Good read
