one of my favorite books
Great family saga.
This story made me cry. Knowing it was based on a true situation, broke my heart, knowing how cruel some people can be. But through the cruelty, there are still people who love deeply.
Another great book
A heartbreaking story.
I could see the view points of all the major characters and, being a grand mother myself, could really identify with the loss of the ability to spend time with her grand children making her so sad. Although I didn’t agree with the husband at all I could understand where he was coming from. Thoroughly enjoyed this book.
True to life experiences. Characters easy to identify with
I enjoyed this book and it seemed to be a quick read with each chapter pulling me into the next. There were times that I questioned why the characters didn’t act in a different manner that seemed more realistic however working in education and seeing what I do with the struggles of children and so many broken families this book seemed realistic …
Shows how far a grandmother and grandfather will go to find their grandchildren and to never give up. Very simple reading. The son in law( the grandchildren’s father) was portrayed as a whiny spoiled little brat. It just read a little to simple to me. I didn’t like the going back and forth with the characters.
I’ve read several of Ms Crosby’s books and enjoy the ‘break’ they give me from reading heavier, darker books in my TBR stack. This one was a little difficult for me to complete. An amazing and emotional read, I got angry, I got sad and sometimes my heart just downright broke. I had read this a while back but honestly this book was so awesome I just couldn’t put into words what I felt in this review, so I waited on writing it and still yet to come up with the right words but here it is.
If you like books that send you …
A tragic story with a nice ending but a bit boring.
It was too fragmented to hold my interest.
I was not impressed with this book.
Story line was weak. Held no interest for me
