Great series! Must read.
Three books three brothers with issues heart of their own. I was pleasantly surprised that I enjoyed each one. Going to continue to reading series.
Have set and still reading . I have on book 5. I like how you can see what’s going on with the characters in the previous books.
Great stories of real mean and the way they love. Wonderful characters and heartwarming love stories.
Prairie Heat was the first book I read from this author and I think I just found a new favorite author. I will be 1- clicking everything she puts out.
I really enjoyed this book. It has everything – love, growth, hurt, betrayal, crazy ex, crazy families, heart and sexy times.
What can I say about Blake, he was a definite book boyfriend. He is just an all-around good man who wanted to do right by his family. Some of his choices were a little misguided but his intentions were true.
Maddie was a character that at times I really liked her but there were other times I wanted to knock sense into her. To me, emotions are basic human characteristic. Everyone has them and most expresses them. So, I had a hard time relating to Maddie in a few scenes because she was acting almost like a robot. But I had to keep in mind, given how she was raised and then what happened with her first boyfriend, I might be closed off also.
This was a wonderful book and I can’t wait to read book two.
Prairie Passion, what can I say about this book. It was a book that brought many different emotions out in me. I felt happy, sad, angry, frustrated and the sexy times were amazing!
In the beginning, I was not a fan of Jamey. She was a harsh character and all she did was bitch at Brodie. He seemed to not mind it, but there were times I wondered if a guy would really stay around and deal with that even if she was hot. I was able to get past this because as the reader, you were able to read her thoughts and understand why she reacts the way she does. As the story progressed, I really started liking her. She is a headstrong woman who keeps having more and more things thrown at her and she deals with them privately which doesn’t allow for much of a support system. The part of Jamey that I really respected was how she dealt with Brodie after she found out what was going on with him.
I really liked Brodie, to me he has so much depth to him. On the outside he was the lazy slacker that was just looking for a good time and a laugh. All the while, no one knew he has the horrible secret that was preventing him from feeling worthy. He also was one sexy dude. When it comes out what his issue is, all you want to do is hug him. Finding out what his dad did to him because of it and the lengths his mom tried to help.
I liked the chemistry between these two. Once the conversation went from bitching to flirting, you got to see Brodie in his element. To have a man say the things he said and the fun responses that Jamey gave right back was hot to read.
I would highly recommend this book.
Prairie Desire: Cowboys of the Flint Hills
I have been WAITING semi patiently for this book. I have really liked Ben in the other books and couldn’t wait to find out what was going on with him. I think I can relate to him the most being the peacemaker.
I bet every one of us made a decision as a kid that we wish we could go back and redo. Ben made a split-second decision concerning Beth and it has haunted him for the past 8 years. When Ben finds out Hope is coming home, he is going to do everything in his power to right his wrong and get the girl back.
Eight years ago, Hope put her heart on the line and after one hot kiss, Ben shut her down. Ben was Hope’s go to guy when life got too hard and when her overbearing but lovable family was too much. He was her home just as much as the tree house they built together was. When he turned her down, she was devastated.
Hope returns home to reevaluates her life after some choices were made while she was away. It is something she wants to keep close to the vest but everyone seems to want to know what is going on. With Ben looking for redemption, her brothers prank in the paper and Hope trying to decide what her next step in life is, we the readers are in for wild ride.
