★★★★★ “I would love to get wrapped up in Chance’s arms! WOW! What a cowboy!”A feisty heroine and an handsome cowboy determined to make her his.
Rose Lenox has always been more comfortable on the back of a horse than wearing ribbons and bows. For years, she’s been content working on the family ranch, but lately she’s wanted more. She’s determined to strike out on her own and find freedom from her … on her own and find freedom from her unorthodox family.
Chance Goodman has watched Rose grow up from a spitfire little girl into a fiery woman. He’s wanted her for years, waiting patiently until he could make her his. When she leaves the Lenox ranch determined to abandon her former life and to say good-bye to him, he knows now is the time he must act. Letting her go isn’t an option.

I liked this historical romance about Rose and Chance. They had great chemistry and I felt like their story was interesting.

Vanessa Vale can always be counted on for well written and fast paced romances. Hot, quick and dirty in the very best ways, you can’t go wrong with any of her books.
The chemistry between the main characters is off the charts hot! The passion and emotion of the characters suck you right into the story and makes it very hard to put it down until the end. The female character is feisty, strong and very stubborn, and she is not willing to settle for anything less than what she wants out of life – no matter what she has to do. The male character is sexy, dominant, sometimes patient and very caring – even when he has to blister her butt for her own good!. The sex scenes are well written and HOT.
Well worth the read, Vanessa Vale and her sexy cowboys will never disappoint you.
I received this book free from the author for my honest review. Since I rely heavily on reviews to make decisions about purchases, I will never lie or over exaggerate my opinion. There is nothing worse than seeing a bunch of 5 star reviews and realizing the book is full of errors or just plain bad and not worth my hard earned money!
This book is a very quick, fast paced, easily read story with interesting & fun characters. Rose chafes against the expectations of society & her family & longs for her independence. However, she doesn’t know that next door neighbour Chance has his own ideas about what this means. This was a great read that filled an empty couple of hours & still managed to provide a thoughtful view on what independence was in the time period.

Rose needs something more than working on family ranch, she decide to leave and find new place to live, but trouble finds her, good thing that Chance is there to save her. Chance always wanted her and now after saving her, he can finally claim her.
Loved this story.
This is a historical romance that I found to be sexy, sweet and romantic. Rose is the sheltered naive young woman who doesn’t understand the world outside her family ranch. Chance, the successful ranch owner next door has always had a thing for Rose. His possessiveness of Rose is enduring especially, when Rose is totally confused by his actions. Their relationship takes turns in frustrations, determination and eventually the truth. I really like this story and the dynamic between Rose and Chance. It makes this a fun and steamy throughback to love and marriage.

This was a hotter than hot, quick western romance that I thoroughly enjoyed! I couldn’t help but love Rose and Chance. Their story is all about loving who you are, and finding that one person who makes your life even better!
Rose has had a very interesting life. Orphaned by the Great Chicago Fire, raised in a house full of girls by two former Madames, she knows who she is and what she wants. She just isn’t sure how to go about getting it! She isn’t your typical girly girl, but would rather be working on the ranch. She doesn’t think that a “normal” life is for her, but the one she has seems to be closing in on her. She wants more. And when she tries to get it for herself, she gets more than she bargains for!
Chase is a typical man. Strong, stubborn, knows what he wants and has the determination to get it! This time, he has to not only take what he wants, but he also has to make sure she gets what she wants too! The are both in for an adventure!
This story was a republish of an earlier work by this author. Although I didn’t read the earlier series, I have read quite a few books by this author. As I expected, this book was explosive and the characters were perfect for each other, despite initial thoughts otherwise! It was fun, quick, and dirty! Everything I look for when I pick up one of the books by this author! Absolutely perfect!
This was only an OK read for me. I thought the story was good and there was plenty of steam. My big problem was with the main characters. In my opinion Rose and chance were a bad combination of frustrating and unlikable. I tried, I truly did but in the end I could jut not come to care for these two.
Cowboys and Kisses is the first book in the Lenox Ranch Cowboys series, but is a re-release preciously titled Rose. Rose lives in a house with nine other women and she’s feeling the need for more, especially when her crush, Chance, agrees. When she tries, he has to save her and then marries her, claiming her for his own. But will her impulsive and independent nature lead her into danger?
Oh my goodness, I can’t believe I haven’t had the opportunity to read this book before now! It was a fun take on Ms. Vale’s historical cowboys and I loved the fast paced plot line, the growth of the characters, and naturally, the love that blossoms between Chance and Rose! Rose is so different from her sisters, almost a Tomboy, with her hopes and dreams to be so much more than the women of her time traditionally were. Chance had the perfect blend between being caring of her feisty nature and needing to rein her in for her dangerous actions. I loved when he described her as the flower she was named after, thorns to protect her soft heart. There’s some danger they encounter, some drama they need to resolve, but they have a steamy connection that just can’t be denied! I loved reading this book and look forward to reading more in this series!!
Language really do people talk like that?
Loved it.
This was a really weak book with a predictable ending. I was glad when it was over.
Too vulgar.
I enjoyed this book, The characters where enjoyable to get to know. It wasnt dull
lots of sex, not much on character building or tieing the story together, seemed to be more interested in getting to the next book. Wasn’t finished very well.
I just couldn’t get into the plot. Usually I enjoy Ms. Vale’s books.
I was very disappointed in the language in this book. If it’s supposed to be a Christian romance, I think it missed it’s mark. I didn’t get past the first few chapters.
Nothing but trash. It really shouldn’t even score a 1star. Ashamed that someone would write something like this. Major let down after just a few pages…log out of this one!
Loved it!
A nice easy enjoyable read of a roman story
Loved from beginning to end.
