it showed how grief and self blame can affect ones whole life. Enjoyable and nicely done.
Good
Fair but boring
Loved it. Loved the entire series
Wonderfully flawed characters. a bit stubborn but works for them in the end. interesting twist of how the protagonists know each other — tragic and real.
Luke Tanner is one stubborn cowboy. Sulky, cantankerous, hard-headed, yet Jillian Crane is able to soften him. Well, she’d softened him long ago when he first laid eyes on her. She is almost as stubborn and hard-headed, certainly doesn’t take no very easily for an answer. They find their way through the loss and the pain… to their happily ever after. A good read.
COWBOYS DON’T QUIT is a standalone read with a HEA. It is set in Colorado The hero, Luke, is a cowboy rancher that has retreated to his isolated mountain cabin to grieve for the loss of his best friend Keith. Luke is just an ordinary cowboy when he is approached by a director to be a stunt double for his star. It is easy money for doing what he does every day so Luke takes him up on it. He becomes best friends with Keith as they travel the world making movies and having a bit of fun and adventure. Then two things happen. Keith gets a serious girl friend and he is killed in a tragic accident that Luke feels he is to blame. He suffers terrible guilt.
At the funeral Jillian says some very unkind things to an already wounded soul. He leaves without answering back and for 2 years he stops living as well. Jillian is a very successful writer that met Keith while doing a story on him. She tracks Luke down to his cabin and asks his help in writing a book on Keith. Luke has been in love with her all this time but he is not happy to see her.
There is drama as Luke deals with his demons and his love for Jillian. There is humor as he deals with Paco, a neighbor’s young son. It is a good love story as Jillian will not give up on him. It is an entertaining read and I would definitely recommend it. If you like a good cowboy romance, then you will like this book. I found it to be a good read and I loved the cover!!
