It was an interesting romance between two people who should not have ever met in person. Baking is, it seems a good way to a man’s heart.
Very pleasing and happy book to read. Love the HEA.
This is a cute love story. It was very whimsical.
My first by Mitchell…I enjoyed this cute well written story and characters. Would have liked a little more conflict…him to remember seeing her at the bar…someone smacking Zander upside the head…etc.
A fun and unique concept about a Cupid who hits the wrong person
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. A Cupid hits the wrong person with her arrow, and she’s sent to Earth to fix the problem. She attempts to fix the cowboy up with a woman. After hitting the cowboy with two different arrows, the potion doesn’t work. The Cupid is not supposed to fall for the man. Then she is given an drink that will erase the time they spend together. It has a happy ending.
This is a great read.
I did not like much about this book. I could not get into it at all. You must start to read it and make up your own mind!!!
after 4 chapters still not interested enough to keep reading.
OVERVIEW OF STORY: Cami is a cupid on her first mission to earth. Cami’s objective is to shoot a husband with a love boost arrow. When the husband moves her arrow flys over his should and hits Rhett with a love boost. At that moment Cami sees her predestined life go way off track. Rhett still bitter from a breakup is deadest against another relationship. Cami now must find Rhett his soulmate within a couple months. Cami becomes Rhett’s new housekeeper/cook at the ranch to make it easier for her to complete her mission. There are many ups and downs throughout the book. Rhett and Cami fall hopelessly in love with each other. Relationships between Cupids and mortals are out of bounds. Cami’s whole life she groomed to be a good girl, to follow the rules and uphold the family honor. She thinks the best thing she could do for him would be to deny her feelings for him. Struggling with this she vacillates between loving him and giving him the cold shoulder.
OPINION OF BOOK: Cowboy’s Cupid was a super cute story. I was so looking forward to reading it when I got started on it. It was funny and witty. Cami and Rhett were both fabulous characters that I absolutely loved! I would most definitely recommend this book to any romance fan. It makes you feel warm and fuzzy. From the beginning, I was under the impression that Cami was the eldest child in her family. Then at the end, she has an older sister. I was a little confused by that. Because of all the pressure, she felt to become half of the “golden archers” couple. I wondered why that responsibility would not have fallen on the shoulders of her older sister.
OPINION OF WRITING: The attention to detail was not maintained throughout the book. Some scenes detailed with only broad strokes. Others are done in hyper-focus on every single aspect of a scene or something happening. The ending was more on the broad strokes end of this scale. To me, it felt a little rushed and underdeveloped. The bit toward the end with Serenity and Cami at the hospital left me thinking there would be something to come from. But it was a door to nowhere, so it didn’t really belong in the book. Despite how much I enjoyed the storyline and characters, there were times I had to put it down. The grammatical issues and jerkiness of the writing would make me aggravated. Run-on sentences popped up distracting me from the story. Sentences would contain words in tenses that didn’t make sense, so I would have to read them over. Sometimes the writing would flow so well I felt myself being swept away in the story and I loved it. Then it would leap to somewhere else and I felt like I fell off the edge of a waterfall into nothingness.
In an era of #MeToo, this fell flat for me.
So poorly written that I could not even finish it. I don’t think I made it past the third chapter.
