Ain’t no way that’s her.Not my Carol. She said she’d always be country down to her cowgirl boots. She used to help out a bit around my ranch in exchange for a little walkin’ around money and time with my horses. She worked harder than any ranch hand I ever had. And she took to ridin’ my horses like a natural. But she’s gone and turned into one of them uptown girls. A city slicker that only cares … slicker that only cares about fancy things and livin’ the good life.
Well the good life’s with me down here on the ranch…enjoying the simple things. Most important thing of all being a family to call your own.
And that’s exactly what I want. But she don’t even notice me anymore. She should be lyin’ down by the creek with me listenin’ to bullfrogs, but instead she’s in the big city listenin’ to them hot shot downtown douchebags spout a different kind of bull.
I’m gonna show her what she left behind, and when I do I’ll ride her bareback and make her mine forever. And there’s another thing we’re gonna make together.
Our own little bronc riding baby.
I’m gonna make hay while the sun shines, and make something else at night.
A family…together with her. Forever.

What a beautiful love story between an older man (Colt McCoy) & young daughter Carol to his best mate Volt Walker. She’s had the hots for Colt since she was a teen, before she went off to Chicago to College.
But its the 1 day just before Christmas where she’s started to work for a fairly new finance business to help with Farming /Ranching.
And its during this time things take a complete turn for them both….
Loved it no matter how short it is
Now it is time for me to stop reviewing stories written by this author as I am starting to feel like I read this one before – but still I know I haven´t read one written by this author about cowboys. But the rest, the behaviour the phrases, the sayings, the types of guys, it all has started to feel like I read it before. This story certainly is sweet and romantic and fast paced and short, and not badly written as such there are still also the typos that have become somehow more troublesome the more stories by this author I read… I would love for all authors to have the pride of not sending stories away for reviews or publishing that had more than two typos or errors in them… Some really do, but … again something I have pointed out to the author before and well they are not getting better… So this time around three stars, and they are because I liked the leading lady.

Colt has to go to the big city, Chicago, and while there he is going to look up his one and only love Carol. His best friend Volt’s daughter. Colt finds her a few days before christmas and things are really looking really good for them. This cowboy has got a heart bigger than TX even though he lives in Santa Fe. Love how everything turns out. There is some rough and tough spots but it great how Carol and Colt work it out. Fast insta love story.

Carol has had a long ago forbidden crush on her dads best friend Colt, as fate would have they both meet up at a time before Christmas. But fate is not only generous it is also mischievous with a dash of drama. The ending has a small surprise twist that will give everyone what they deserve.

In this book we meet Carol Walker and Colt McCoy. Colt has come Chicago in the hopes of saving his farm. He had to put a morgage on it to get health insurance for his parents. He lost them in the end but it wasn’t for saying he didn’t try all he could. He knows that Carol is in the city as well but doesn’t know where. He knows nothing about technology so he has no way to find her. Bumping into her in the bar was the last thing he expected. Carol has had a crush on Colt for since she was 16. She knows she is a long way from not only the man but his farm that she learned so much at as well. So when she literately runs into him in a bar near her place she can’t believe it. Seeing him doesn’t mean all of her problems magically go up in smoke though. Will they find a HEA in the end or will there be people out there that will do anything to make sure that doesn’t happen?
This is a great story by this author. It does have its ups and downs that I really want to tell you about. However I don’t want to ruin the story for any other readers. I will say this book will have you hooked from the first word to the very end. The story-line is so amazing it has twists you never see coming. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.

Hot and Satisfying Novella.
Author Flora Ferrari’s novella #30 has a storyline based on two of my favorite genres: Older man younger woman, and Cowboy/Rancher.
Colt is the Rancher of a horse ranch. It’s a ranch where is Best Friend, Volt’s daughter Carol worked for awhile before leaving for college in Chicago and then staying there after graduation. Colt finds himself in Chicago to try and save his ranch from foreclosure and runs into Carol at the investment company. They end up acting out their fantasies of each other. Needless to say Volt finds out. Will everyone be ok? There are wonderfully extended epilogues that you can always expect with this author and she does disappoint.
Definitely recommending this novella for your reading enjoyment and pleasure.
Peace.

Love this story! Carol left the ranch to go to college in the big city. Colt goes to the city to sign papers to save his ranch. He sees Carol grown and falls madly in love with her. And proceeds to work a way to get her…forever.
I love a cowboy, and this is a sweet and steamy older man younger women holiday cowboy romance. Colt is an old fashioned rancher. Who’s word and way of life is everything. His Santa Fe ranch is in trouble. He heads to Chicago to discuss options to save it.
Carol has just graduated with a degree in finance and landed a job in Chicago as a PA. She didn’t expect to run into her dad’s best friend and her teenage crush. There is Colt McCoy. Her crush hasn’t diminished. When Colt sees Carol all grown up, he knows she is the women for him.
Loved Co!t and Carol. The epilogue’s finished their story up perfectly. A great holiday read.
