What in the world are the two of us doing in bed together?>Big city girl Lucia Morales’s boss at the New York Tribune has to bail out of an assignment at the last minute. Since Lucia is fresh out of college and has only been on the job a few months, she’s stunned when the editor agrees to let her cover the story. The problem is that the article is about old-school cattle ranches, and Lucia … ranches, and Lucia thinks cowboys and everything about their culture is silly and unsophisticated. So she’s less than thrilled when she arrives at the Big D Ranch in Montana and is greeted by searing heat and all the smells associated with several hundred head of cattle. And then there’s the ranch’s owner, an alpha male cowboy with the body of a Greek god who seems to keep getting under her skin.
Ricky Bascom has never been to New York City. Hell, he’s never even been to Helena, and it’s only a three-hour drive. So when this mouthy newspaper reporter arrives at his ranch and starts rolling her eyes at his lifestyle, his first inclination is to send her on her way with swift a kick in the saddle. Then he decides instead to give her a personal demonstration of what the Big D is all about. Maybe she’ll change her mind after she’s been ridden hard and put away wet. There’s only one problem: This hot little pony has never been ridden by anyone before.

Save a Horse, Ride a Cowboy
Cowboy’s Cherry by Alexis Adaire is another great story in The Big Sky series by the Flirt Club author group.
This story contains all the great things you want in a fun and sexy short story – a hot cowboy who is mouth watering sexy, a feisty and curvy young city woman with a job to do, some major sparking between the two and a lot of fun and witty banter between them, along with a personal mountain spring soaking pool and some tight fitting Levi’s.
Lucia and Ricky are wonderful together as they try to figure out how to deal with each other, him being a smart azz and her throwing it right back at him, as any good Brooklyn raised Puerto Rican woman would.
I really enjoyed reading Cowboy’s Cherry and would recommend it to other readers, along with the other books in The Big Sky series.
I received a free ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.
City girl meets country boy and sparks fly.
This time our Flirt Club theme is cowboys. This is part of a themed series by well established authors. Each story is a standalone, sharing only the theme (and setting in this case), so you can read one or more of them as the fancy strikes you. No prior reading required.
This is a short romance story, no two ways about it. Our characters start out with some preconceptions and rapidly learn they are all wrong. The story is very well written with a straightforward and easy to follow plot. We also get two well developed characters that fit well into our story and setting. They have real chemistry, providing a pleasant evening read which is easy to read, provides a nice dose of steamy and is over all too soon. It all wraps up with a nice HEA. Overall, a very pleasant evening read.
Highly recommended.

Ricky gives her a tour of the ranch and talks about his life ranching and they grower closer. Lucia is attracted to Ricky but she knows that she isn’t there for long and isn’t sure if she wants to act on it especially with her being a virgin. When she tells Ricky about being a virgin she expected him to pull away but he told her that he would be patient with her. Will she leave for the city after being with Ricky? Can Ricky convince her to stay with him?
This is a great story that will draw you in from the first chapter. The chemistry between them is blazing hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

This sweet story held me captive from the very beginning with the great character and storyline development! As I turned each and every page I felt like Lucia and Ricky jumped from the pages and pulled me right into their story as it effortlessly unfolded!
A well written sweet romance; a captivating and interesting read! It is a fast pace page-turner that is completely engrossing from start to finish. I always enjoy a story that is well written, has little ups and downs and is happy. This book is just that – I had fun reading it and it made me happy. The characters are beautiful and sweet and you will fall in love with them. A recommended read.

City girl Lucia is a journalist who heads to Paulson Montana to write a story about old school cattle ranches. Ricky is the owner of Big D ranch and she Lucia was not expecting to meet a sexy young cowboy. This is a short, insta love story between a city girl and a sexy cowboy. The characters are believable and the HEA is great.

This Lucia and Ricky’s story He is a hard working rancher trying to make the Big D ranch a success and he agrees to been interviewed by a New York reporter. Lucia has only worked at the pare for a while and isn’t to keen on heading to Montana. Imagine Ricky’s surprise when a pocket rocket stunning young woman arrives rather than the older lady he had been skyping with. They both have preconceived ideas about one another but gradually the barriers fall When he discovers she is a virgin he will be more than willing to deflower her if that is what she wants but do they have a future together You will have to read to see

When I received this book as an ARC from Booksprout, the author asked us not to ‘ding it for being short’. I always do as I’m asked when reviewing an ARC, but I do want to say it’s shortness wasn’t apparent; this was certainly not a problem, and it didn’t feel short.
It felt like a full-blown novel; you really get involved in the characters and their attraction to one another. You learn enough about them to be invested in their happiness, and even though the story leaves you wanting more, it’s not in an unsatisfied way.
I was apprehensive to how a HEA could happen with these two as they are from such different worlds. Lucia is from the Big Apple and loves everything that is made convenient in life by living and working in New York. Ricky is the complete opposite, lives in the middle of nowhere on a ranch often not seeing another soul for days. In the local town everything closes at a ‘normal’ hour and Lucia is shocked by the stark comparison.
She does, however, start to fall in love with more than just Ricky. Falling in love with the serenity that comes along with living on a ranch.
This story was well-developed and brilliantly written. I loved the characters, and I loved how the author managed to make everything work out for the best in the end.

Perfect example of opposites attract
Lucia is a reporter sent to write a story on ranches. Ricky is the hunky cowboy she’s shadowing/interviewing. Their initial interactions are a bit bumpy with Lucia’s city girl preconceived notions on ranching and Ricky’s preconceived notions on city girls but you can’t fight fate. Short, sexy, fun read that I highly recommend for a dose of HEA.
This short story is part if the Big Sky collection by the Flirt Club. If you have not checked these authors out, you should. Lucia is a new journalist for the New York Tribune. She has been there three months when she gets the opportunity to cover a story. It is a cattle ranch piece and she needs to go to Paulson, Montana for a week for research. At the Big D ranch she meets Ricky. Lucia had no idea about cattle ranching and cowboys but she is about to get one heck of a lesson. That virginity she has been holding into will also not be returning home with her. A well written, great story where polar opposites meet and fate takes over to make a HEA. Enjoy!

A fantastic short story just perfect for your lunch break and you need a little something with your salad. Alexis seems to pack so much in to such a short read. Lucia is a journalist who volunteers to go to a ranch to do a story. What or who she wasn’t expecting was Ricky, a tall drink of water. Things heat up in this hot insta love story. Will Lucia get her story done for the Tribune????? Love the characters and story.
A Novella That Checks All the Boxes.
Cowboy’s Cherry by author, Alexis Adaire was a sweet novella that was just perfect for reading at the end of the day when you’re snuggled in bed.
The storyline allows the reader to peak over the shoulder of the Virgin journalist, Lucia take on the assignment that will place her on a cattle farm in Montana. There she will spend a lot of time with the very handsome and guy who likes to take his shirt off, Ricky. They are immediately attracted to each other and surprise surprise they work well together.
By the time she leaves, she looses something, she gains something but, both their their lives have changed forever.
While this was erotic, the storyline and both characters had substance and purpose…I liked that! Kudos to the author. She could have taken it easy but didn’t. And that says a lot about the author’s work ethics.
I’m wholeheartedly recommending this book for your reading enjoyment and pleasure. Peace.
