Twice-buckled American Extreme Bull Riders tour world champion Kane Wilder is riding high at the top of his game, rolling in fame, adulation, women, and money. When he hits his hometown of Phoenix, he’s sure of another win. Nothing shakes his confidence and focus–until he comes face-to-face with his former friend and lover, Sky, holding the hand of a toddler with his eyes and trademarked dark … curls and smile. Suddenly winning is about more than sticking his ride for eight seconds.
When one of her artworks is chosen for a world class hospital guild art auction, Sky Gordon thinks she’s finally going to make a name for herself artistically and cleanse her life and heart of Kane Wilder for good. But when Kane shows up at the gallery and learns the secret she’s kept, Sky realizes more’s at stake than just her pride and heart. Kane may be even more devastatingly sexy, but he doesn’t take no for an answer, and he plays to win at any cost.

Leaves you wanting to know more about Kane, Skye, Montana, Colt, and Laird.
Kane Wilder is a rising rodeo star. He had a brief relationship with his best friend’s sister four years ago, but she was 19 and he was 22. After the wonderful summer they spent together, he insisted that she go back to college, not wanting to hold her back from her dreams.
Sky (I don’t think we ever learned her last name) had been in love with Kane since she was 11 and he was 14. She suspected she was pregnant when they parted after three wonderful months when she was 19, but he’d never said he loved her and, when he dropped her off at the airport to go back to college, he never looked back. So, Sky assumed that keeping their daughter a secret from him would be a good idea; after all, he needed to move on and become the big rodeo star he was destined to be.
When a sculpture Sky is actioning off for charity – that looks exactly like Kane – comes to the attention of Kane’s management, he drives to Phoenix to confront Sky. When he finds out they have a child together, he kidnaps them both (sorry, that’s the only word I have for it) and demands that Sky marry him.
Both characters were TSTL, sacrificing their happiness because of what they assumed the other wanted and now angry at each other because of their own stupid choices. Although we ultimately get a HEA, it took too much work to get there.
Hero such a complex but good guy
Good story. Too much explicite sex.
A little too graphic
Not my favorite but I did finish it
At the end you see a strong female charcter
I really enjoyed this book, writer did a really good job of the bull riding part!! I thought it was a good storyline and loved Montana and her middle name was perfect! Not much cussing with some sex made it great. Other than the picture on the cover with Kane carrying a bridle instead of the bull rope, which is the way a bull rope is carried but NOT a fancy bridle, and that in a couple of places the bull rope was called a flank strap, it was awesome! Sorry, this old ranch raised woman knows sometimes things can’t be perfect so those of you who look at the cover and know the difference, don’t let it stop you from reading!
Not real sure about any of the above, first few pages using the F word was all I could take. Why do you think people want to read that? Think I would have liked the story but deleted it after 13 pages.
The writing did not impress me – I probably won’t read this author again.
Loved it
I could only read a few pages at a time of Sky’s wimpiness. I can’t imagine what Kane ever loved about her, except maybe his power over her. The only reason I kept reading at all is that I liked the story, but I skipped to the end and then quit. I really like strong independent women and I hope that I am one, but I know for sure I’m not like Sky. How she ever found the guts to keep the baby I don’t know. I wouldn’t recommend this book to any woman.
Really bad book. Trite.
Very good
Moving, exciting, can relate to characters.
I enjoyed it as a fun fast read.
Too much repeating the same thing over and over. Didn’t finish the book
Kept me reading
It was great and held my attention until I was finished with the book.
Really enjoyed this one. Couldn’t put it down.
