The second book in the ‘Seven Range Shifters’ series is a rough and tough in a cowboy wolf kind of way… which means that readers get a mix of dark, broody, sexy cowboy wolf that charms as well as makes readers shiver in delight. Belle and Colt are two very strong, bold characters that have a sensually stimulating chemistry that not only draws them together but sparks lots of feisty and passionate encounters of every kind. The relationship has some obstacles and their pasts and secrets cause lots of distress and emotional turmoil allowing the readers to really get a feel for the hero and heroine.

The plot is fast paced with lots of thrilling suspense and excitement as Colt tries to convince the Seven Range Pact that they the vampires are up to something no good. Readers are kept on the edge of the seat with deadly attacks and unexpected twists that changes things as fast as a runaway train. This world is quite complex, sexy and full of unique elements that readers can really get into and this story includes an eccentric horse that makes everyone chuckle. From the fiery clashes of the hero and heroine to the riveting, intense and explosive story, this romance is one that readers can really sink their teeth into.

Sometimes you pick up a book and can’t motivate yourself to finish it. Then, you get some much needed down time and finally you are pulled in thoroughly and finish it in no time…. that was this book for me.

Colt and Belle intrigued me from the get-go, but every day life was too much for me to overcome and kept me from getting fully lost in the world and the characters. I sat down late last night with a day off of work ahead of me and the pages finally just kept turning. I found myself smiling and even tearing up a time or two.

Colt’s position with the Grey Wolf pack made it seem like he had all the things that Belle wanted in life, but he was harboring a secret that made him more like her than she would ever know. This is an emotional journey for all involved and there are twist and turns galore right up until the very end. I enjoyed Colt and Belle’s journey and by the time it ended I was wishing for more!

Cowboy in Wolf’s Clothing is the second book in Kait Ballenger’s Seven Range Shifters series, and this one was full of surprises. I enjoyed the second book compared to the first because of everything that happened in this book. Kait Ballenger had me in shock several times in this book due to where the book was going and how it ended.

This book is all about the sexy High Commander Colt Cavanaugh and beautiful Rogue wolf Belle Beaumont. These two together will have a lot of tension and drama. They may look and act as they come from two different packs, but they have a lot more in common than they genuinely know from each other. Oh boy, do they have a lot in common and are stubborn.

Belle Beaumont is a wanted woman due to her connections with the Wild Eight Pack of wolves. She thought she was going to be a part of the family/pack finally. Unfortunately, she finds out who the Wild Eight is and now she’s on the run. Unfortunately, she gets caught by the Grey Wolves but manages to escape from them. She ends up running into the High Commander himself, and now she’s in more significant trouble with the sexy control freak. Colt knows Belle is wanted by his pack, but for some reason, he wants to help her. It could be that he has quite a bit in common with the Rogue Wolf. Belle ends up having to save Colt from an attack with a certain vampire in the book who has his agenda with Colt and the Grey Wolves. Both Belle and Colt end up in the crossfires of what is going on with the vampires. It’s up to Colt to let the Grey Wolves pack master Maverick know and the Seven Range Shifters.

This book deals with Belle being a Rogue Wolf and only wanting to go back to her original life, but she ends up falling head over heels for the High Commander. Colt also has feelings for the Rogue Wolf, but he can’t be with her. He tells her from the start he doesn’t do relationships. He’s known as Commander Casanova, but Belle makes him want to change. He’s being stubborn though.

There were times I wanted to throttle Colt for how he was treating Belle in the book. He wasn’t as bad as Wes in the first book though of the series. Colt is a bossy wolf who is used to getting his way. He meets his match with Belle. Belle is an intelligent, beautiful wolf who has been a loner for a while. She’s wanted a pack but tried to hide her feelings about it. I adored her character even when she had to decide on telling Colt something that happened.

This book has some big shockers in it, especially with the main characters and their backgrounds. The ending is what had me in complete shock. There also were certain other characters that were in the light of this story that I want to find out more about because of their personalities. I want to know about a particular wolf that was with Maeve (Maverick’s sister) that helped her and Belle. I also want to know more about Blaze, Austin, Sierra, and also Maverick (the pack leader). I could go on and on about the other characters. I can’t wait to see where Kait takes readers in this series. If you are looking for a paranormal romance that has Wolves as Cowboys, then I recommend this series. I love how Kait mixes paranormal with western elements in these stories and can’t wait to read the next book in the series.

Fighting for his life, Colt struggles with his attraction to a woman who could threaten any semblance of peace our hero has earned. At war with the rogue pack known as Wild Eight’s as well as the ongoing battle with a group of vampires hunting on their lands, the Seven Range Shifters must come to a decision as it pertains to the threat against all of their lives. Meanwhile, Belle Beaumont is desperate to escape the strangle hold of both the Wild Eights, and the Seven Range Shifters. Not quite a prisoner but detained none the less, our heroine struggles with her attraction to a man who doesn’t do relationships, and is more into one-night stands. A series of attacks against the Seven Range Shifters finds Belle on the run, not only for her life but to escape the man with whom she has fallen in love.

The relationship between Belle and Colt is one of immediate attraction but Colt doesn’t do relationships, and Belle is in no position to settle down. Belle gives as good as she gets including her one on one banter with our story line hero. With her freedom granted for services rendered, Belle heads to place unknown until news of a different kind changes her plans. The $ex scenes are intimate, erotic and intense but I struggle with the use of a certain four-letter word in my romance story lines.

There is a large ensemble cast of secondary and supporting characters including Wes Calhoun and Naomi Evans (Cowboy Wolf Trouble #1), Colt’s sister Sierra, Packmaster Maverick Grey and his sister Maeve, Malcolm, Dean, Austin, IT specialist Blaze, vampire Lucas, and several members of the Seven Range Shifters and Wild Eights packs.

COWBOY IN WOLF’S CLOTHING is a passionate story of family, friendship, bonding and blood. The premise is dramatic, energetic and engaging; the characters are edgy and animated; the romance is spicy and hot. COWBOY IN WOLF’S CLOTHING is an imaginative and intense addition to Kait Ballenger’s SEVEN RANGE SHIFTERS series.

Belle is a rogue wolf on the run from the Grey Wolf’s. She was being held prisoner until she breaks out. Colt is the High Commander of the Grey Wolf and works on the packs ranch. When they are attacked by vampires, he runs into Belle. She saves him and he promises to give her her freedom. They have one night together, because Colt is known as Commander Casanova, and thinks his real family makes him not good enough. But Belle gets past his defenses. When the past shows up, will he have to choose between the woman he loves or his pack?
This is the second in this series. Wolves and vampires. Secrets and action. Sex and surprises. Great story. No cliffhangers.

Cowboys and shifters – two of my favorite genres

Riveting, action-packed, and characters you can get behind. I was thrilled to read High Commander Colt Cavanaugh’s story. To Colt, the Grey Wolf pack was everything, until he met Belle Beaumont. They both have secrets, but their wolfs knew what they wanted and needed.

Lots of action, sizzling hot sex, pack politics, secrets revealed, and priorities changed. This book kept me turning the pages, chuckling, weeping (just a bit), cheering, and shouting at the characters. Great world-building, with a nice smooth read. All the characters are so real-to-life, and unique in that you can tell them apart, and picture them in your mind.

Great read. I highly recommend it to anyone who likes shifters, and/or cowboy romances.

Kait wrote a delicious tale in this book. I love it so much! Colt is definitely one of my many new book boyfriends.

This book was great! It started out with a bang and kept going! It was fill of suspense, action, secrets, humor, hot shifters and sexy curvy women! If you like hot shifter romance Cowboy in Wolf’s Clothing is the Book for you!

Second book in the series with an ongoing storyline carried over from the first book, but featuring a new couple with Belle and Colt. Colt is the Commander of the Grey Wolf army and will do whatever it takes to protect the pack. But he’s got a secret that keeps him set apart. Belle is a doctor and rogue wolf that longs for a family and pack. She got swept up with the outlaw Wild Eight Pack when she made a bad choice in boyfriend but was able to escape only to be captured by the Grey Wolves. But she doesn’t give up on getting her freedom, and escapes only to find herself caught up between Colt and vampires. Belle’s oath as a doctor doesn’t let her leave an injured Colt, and their time together only increases the attraction and draw they have towards each other. Yet while these two appear to be on different sides,they have a lot more in common than either of them know. But their journey to a HEA is not an easy one with each of them being captured by the vampires at different times. Action, romance, secrets, and twists you won’t see coming plus the fantastic banter between Colt and Belle will have you glued to the pages of this book. And when you’re done reading it, you’ll be counting the days until the next installment in the series comes out.
