Whooo weeee! Those Dalton boys sure know how to fire up an extra large helping of ovary squeezing romance! “Cowboy Flirtation” is cousin Ford’s chance to show the world that lurking behind that serious, hard working exterior is a slow to smile, loyal and protective man– especially towards a nearby neighbor who has stolen his heart, Susannah Ryan. Dumped after a career ending rodeo accident by his previous fiance, Ford’s heart is locked up tight. Susannah is just the woman to tempt him though, but can he trust her not to hurt him?
“Cowboy Flirtation” is a sweet read, full of steamy passion, tight Wrangler wearing cowboys, and an honest glimpse of what it takes to work a ranch and to love the men who work the land. If you are a fan of the books about the Dalton Boys, you are in for a treat. They are all in this book and you can get caught up on what is happening with the whole crew. Another definite “must read” book by author Em Petrova!
I reviewed an advance read copy of this book.
An enthralling read! There is so much to look forward to in this book – a well-developed consistent plot, family, friendship, witty banter, humour, and suspense. The book is well written and relatable; and the ideas are well-thought out and there is a great pace from scene to scene. The characters Ford and Susannah are great together (Ford is a bit broken however), strong, and show true depth; their chemistry is instant, potent, undeniable, and off the charts amazing. The author’s descriptions are vivid and the imagery is superb, I felt like I was there watching everything unfold. This is another enjoyable book in the Dalton Boys series by Em Petrova and I look forward to reading more from this series. Ford is a down on his luck cowboy that after a career ending injury is home trying to find his new purpose. A frantic call from his relatives takes him to the only place he has truly felt at home. Through the devastation and clean-up, he might have just found his purpose and life long partner.
Susannah is a woman with a plan. She wants to get her new business venture up and running but is in need of some horses. When she heads to the Dalton farm, she meets Ford for the first time and the sparks fly. Not all of them in a good way.
I loved watching these two circle each other. There was obvious interest but yet Ford kept holding back. I respected Susannah for waiting for Ford to come clean but when he didn’t, I loved that she was sassy enough to call him on it.
I got a copy of this book from Booksprout. I chose to review it. I have been reading the Dalton boys for a while. I loved this book. This was a quick easy read for me. A well written story. It is worth your time and effort. I will have to say that when I see Em Petrova’s name on a story I know I will be getting a fantastic story. She has become one of my go to authors. This is one you should go and get and I will be encouraging everyone to get this one.
This was a great addition to the Dalton boys series. I really liked Ford and could not help but feel for him. I just loved the chemistry between him and Susannah they were well matched I am hoping we get to know ford and Susannah’s brothers better in future books.
Cowboy Flirtation is the latest addition to Em Petrova’s Dalton Boys and continues the fun, excitement and drama that has accompanied the previous books.
Ford and Susannah are wonderfully engaging characters, written into a captivating and interesting plot, with well-rounded world building and a great support cast.
A fabulous series that only gets better with time.

I would give this book 4.5 stars, just because I wish it was longer. Ford and Susannah’s story just seemed to end so quickly, but, I guess it would be since it is a novella.
When I first started this book, I was thinking it was going to be full of angst because of Ford’s mood and demeanor. That changed once he arrived in Paradise Valley and was back with his cousins.
A quick, easy read. A sweet, sexy story. A tale full of love, loyalty, friends, and family with a side of steamy passion.
I voluntarily read and reviewed the Advanced Reader Copy.
Em has done an outstanding job with this one. The emotions of the characters are spot on and their story keeps you pulled in from the very beginning. Getting an update on all the Dalton brothers is amazing, but adding on the cousins is fantastic. Getting to interact with the original crew as well as the newer ones, and meeting a new family at the same time….wonderful! I cannot wait to see what happens with the other Dalton boys, as well as the Ryan’s. I’m voluntarily reviewing an advanced reader copy of this book.
