“Alessandra…” He breathed her name—her real name. It was the first time she’d heard it since she’d been on the ranch. And then, as if he couldn’t help himself, he bent his head toward her and kissed her. ”Lacy’s books are just so darn cozy and wholesome, without being cloying.” WendyTheSuperLibrarian book blogLacy Williams is the USA Today bestselling author of the acclaimed Wyoming Legacy and … author of the acclaimed Wyoming Legacy and Sawyer Creek series.

Once Upon a Cowboy
A princess on-the-run finds sanctuary where she least expects it…
After nearly dying in an assassination attempt, Princess Alessandra of Glorvaird escapes to a place no one would ever think to look for her: small town Texas and a ranch staffed by a herd of wooly, uncouth cowboys. One cowboy in particular gets under her skin, until she sees his softer side. She knows this interlude can’t last forever, but that doesn’t stop her from wishing it might…
Former Navy SEAL Gideon Hale might’ve rescued the princess from freezing to death, but the soldier doesn’t trust easily—or at all—especially when his gut tells him Alessandra is keeping secrets. But as Alessandra begins to fit into his life, he discovers another side to the princess—one that he can’t help but like.
When Alessandra’s enemies close in, Gideon must fight to save the woman who has become so much more than a princess…
Cowboy Charming
If the boot fits…
There’s nothing glamorous about Ethan Townsend’s life. At twenty-five, he’s given up his college education and pretty much everything else to run the family dairy farm in north Texas and provide for his two spoiled stepbrothers. When he meets a real-life princess, he can’t help but be attracted to her beauty—even though he knows she’s way out of his league.
Princess Mia of Glorvaird is visiting the States to help manage her sister’s upcoming engagement ball. Bonus: she can escape the media blitz over her last—very public—breakup back home. When she meets hard-working Ethan, she realizes she’s been looking for love in all the wrong places.
Even though attraction sparks, how can Ethan expect to build a real relationship with a princess? Especially when his stepbrothers sabotage him at every turn?

Fun to read
It was a good read
Absolutely loved this book couldn’t get enough
A modern day fairy tale.
Based on the story of Cinderella, this is a series of books that begins with an assassination attempt on a princess. When Alessandra escapes, she finds herself in the back of a pickup truck heading for a ranch in Texas. She and her two sisters eventually find love with Texas ranchers who have given up their dreams to care for their siblings. Throw in a lost princess from their father’s illicit love affair years earlier, and an aunt with a mental illness who was banished from the kingdom, and you have a great story.
Great read!
Not a great development of the characters but it is very easy to read and keeps you captivated for two hours..
I enjoyed this lighthearted book. The characters were unpredictable yet enjoyable. Though the characters were worlds apart differences were explored and addressed. The characters were enjoyable and the plot was interesting. This is a a quick read and fun. Curling up by a wood stove with a great cup of coffee and this book would make for a great afternoon!
Just a fun, easy (although extremely unrealistic) read with a twist on well known fairy tales.
These fairy tales are fun, romantic, original twists on classic tales.
It was a quick and fun read with enough interest to keep me reading..easy and enjoyable.
Good, easy read with likeable characters. Both stories are short, so not a lot of time for plot twists or character development. Not completely realistic, but enjoyable entertainment. I’ll probably read again.
Fun read and deciding which fairy tale it related to.
It was truly a Cowboy fairytale. I bought the next 3 book in the series.

Certainly were fairytales complete with real princesses. Cowboy falling for Princess Alessandra was book 1. Dairy farmer falling for Princess Mia in book 2. There were death threats, sick king, lost slipper, a fancy ball, poisoned apples, rescue of damsels in distress, an awakening kiss, thieves, bad guys, everything a good fairytale should have. There were some silly errors, for example – pokes should have been folks. They were cute stories and quick reads. Buy and enjoy reading.
I found the story charming I enjoyed the Cinderella twist.
I was disappointed at the over abundance of the story that revolved around their physical responses to one another though it stayed pg.
I also felt that the spiritual insight that and growth was a lightly sprinkled. The opportunity for richness was there but not well developed.
Just a simple entertaining read without having to worry about explicit sexuality. I call it romantic, but apparently the word “romance” really means porn these days. Some days I just need to read a book that isn’t complex or dramatic. This pair fit the bill. Sadly, they are really just novellas, though.
Add the words “fun” and “relaxing” to this review.
Light and fast reading. Not a lot of substance but pleasant.
Predictable
Short and sweet.
