“Alessandra…” He breathed her name—her real name. It was the first time she’d heard it since she’d been on the ranch. And then, as if he couldn’t help himself, he bent his head toward her and kissed her. ”Lacy’s books are just so darn cozy and wholesome, without being cloying.” WendyTheSuperLibrarian book blogLacy Williams is the USA Today bestselling author of the acclaimed Wyoming Legacy and … author of the acclaimed Wyoming Legacy and Sawyer Creek series.

Once Upon a Cowboy
A princess on-the-run finds sanctuary where she least expects it…
After nearly dying in an assassination attempt, Princess Alessandra of Glorvaird escapes to a place no one would ever think to look for her: small town Texas and a ranch staffed by a herd of wooly, uncouth cowboys. One cowboy in particular gets under her skin, until she sees his softer side. She knows this interlude can’t last forever, but that doesn’t stop her from wishing it might…
Former Navy SEAL Gideon Hale might’ve rescued the princess from freezing to death, but the soldier doesn’t trust easily—or at all—especially when his gut tells him Alessandra is keeping secrets. But as Alessandra begins to fit into his life, he discovers another side to the princess—one that he can’t help but like.
When Alessandra’s enemies close in, Gideon must fight to save the woman who has become so much more than a princess…
Cowboy Charming
If the boot fits…
There’s nothing glamorous about Ethan Townsend’s life. At twenty-five, he’s given up his college education and pretty much everything else to run the family dairy farm in north Texas and provide for his two spoiled stepbrothers. When he meets a real-life princess, he can’t help but be attracted to her beauty—even though he knows she’s way out of his league.
Princess Mia of Glorvaird is visiting the States to help manage her sister’s upcoming engagement ball. Bonus: she can escape the media blitz over her last—very public—breakup back home. When she meets hard-working Ethan, she realizes she’s been looking for love in all the wrong places.
Even though attraction sparks, how can Ethan expect to build a real relationship with a princess? Especially when his stepbrothers sabotage him at every turn?

I love fairy tales, and I love westerns with real cowboys. This charming book contains two contemporary cowboy fairy tales–ONCE UPON A COWBOY and COWBOY CHARMING. CHARMING COWBOY is a Cinderella fairy tale with the hero being the Cinderella character.
I loved both of these tales. And for good reason. Years ago, the firs time I spoke at a writers’ meeting in Tulsa, I did a critique of some of Lacy Williams’ writing. I knew then that she would do really well with her stories, and she has.
I’m going to read the rest of her Cowboy Fairy Tales, and you’ll want to as well.
Cowboy Fairytales books 1-10 This took forever to read. Poorly edited. Never finished Pieter’s story. Never included his brother’s story. Very little carry through with the princesses in later sequels.
1. Book 1: Once Upon a Cowboy:4 stars
I purchased a copy of the novel Once Upon a Cowboy: Alessandra and Gideon in the Cowboy Fairytales books 1-10 boxset by Lacy Williams and this review was given freely.
This is a quickly growing attraction romance which contains glimpses into the troubled Hale siblings’ love lives, snippets into the life of a ranch during calving season, some danger and touches of suspense. After ten years, a technicality reunites Triple H Foreman Nate O’Malley with his childhood bride, dog rescuing former foster child Kayla Campbell, reinforcing his determination to win her back.
.
10. Book 10: Melting Megan: 4 stars
I purchased a copy of the novella Melting Megan: Megan and Dan in the Cowboy Fairytales books 1-10 boxset by Lacy Williams and this review was given freely.
Interesting characters and a bit of drama.
Former Triple H ranch hand and reformed gambler Dan Evans receives early parole, is welcomed back to the ranch, struggles with his sense of self worth and need to pay the Hale’s back while falling in love with single guardian Dr. Megan Fuller.
My urge to rewrite the first chapter of book one is strong. But the rest of both books were cute if highly improbable! Happy Reading!
Definitely a modern fairytale!
Enjoyed easy and relaxing reading
totally fun, but fairy tales
I liked this book because it shows how faith can overcome all things. I enjoyed the romance as well
Good book
I read the first 2 books in this series. I loved them. The characters are believable and well-defined. The plotting is interesting and plausible. I love the fact that the language is clean and still gets the point across to the reader.
Loved this book. I am so happy Book Bub has introduced me to great authors I did not know before.
Good light read with a few cute plot twists. Perfect modern day fairy tales.
Very much enjoyed both stories, following the Princesses of Glorvaird. Ms. Williams characters were very real, pulled you right into their stories. Just got a lot of pleasure from both books, loved their happy endings.
Clean reading.
a get-a-way special and stress reliever!
Just fun reading
Princesses in trouble, finds protection and love. Great story!
I really enjoyed reading about Alessandro and Gideon…learning to trust and finding love. No matter your station in life we are all human and have needs and hurts. And here is a princess and a farmer. Different walk of life and yet drawn to one another. In the next book we meet Ethan and Mia. Again a princess and a farmer and with different hurts and insecurities. The Bible says love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things and endures all things 1 Corinthians 13:7 In these stories we see love doing just that! I’m looking forward to reading more.
Beautiful
Fairytales with a modern twist. Each sister who are princesses find love in small town Texas a long way from home.
Loved these books. So much fun. Murder of wrong person. Now she must get away. Where can she hide. Picked up by 2 cowboys. Can a princess survive the country life?
You can always count on lacey Williams for a good story.
