Sometimes you have to die to be born.
One minute Katie is eating lunch with her sister, the next she barely escapes a car bomb meant to kill her. If that wasn’t enough, someone sets fire to her home and burns it to the ground. Luckily, Federal agents are going to give her a new identity until she can testify against the man who wants her dead. They change her name to Presley, her hair color to … color to brown, and her shorts and sandals to jeans and cowboy boots. She’s not thrilled about being sent to a small town in Montana to hide, but she wants to stay alive.
Sheriff Seth Reilly is doing a favor for an old Army buddy. He’s promised to watch over a woman whose life is in danger, but he didn’t plan on her being so young and beautiful. He’s tempted, but she’s a bundle of trouble. Seth likes his women calm and sedate. Presley is the kind of woman who would keep him up at night and make him crazy. Too bad he’s starting to enjoy it.
Passion flares between Seth and Presley, heating up the cold Montana nights. Knowing they only have a short time together, they vow not to fall in love. But when danger finds Presley, Seth will risk everything to keep her safe until she can testify. Will Presley get her old life back or start a new life with Seth instead?
Publisher’s warning: This book contains hot sex scenes including an alpha male cowboy cop using Christmas lights to tie up his woman, a sexy strip tease, and steamy action in the cab of a truck.

Very good story, exciting and compelling, with likeable, well developed characters. Some rather explicit sex included, but they are very well done, and it’s a great story apart from that.
I loved this story from start to finish. I loved Presley and Seth together. I really enjoyed how Presley got Seth to enjoy life more.
The perfect mix of romance, suspense, small town, cowboy, intrique and don’t forget the steamy passion. A strong, feisty woman and an alpha, hunk of a sheriff have met each others match in this lighthearted story. I loved the storytellling, the flow and fleshed out characters ever growing throughout this book. Impossible to put down!
This is a well paced book (easy to read, engaging, etc.) and the characters are extremely like able.
While the plot of the boook is certainly original, James fails in one of the most important area essential to every good novel: character development & motivation. She does a fair job with the protagonist and antagonist, but some of the …
Enjoyable book, liked it enough to continue with the series. Even though Presley and Seth have not much in common I really did like those two together, it works for them.
Great read, great characters and story line
Presley is in the witness protection and she is too funny

What fun ! Like a mini vacation for , O loved the characters so much that I was sorry to have it end . Thanks for the escape.
The beginning was very interesting with her car blowing up at the first of the book, as the story went on it seemed to slow down and drag a bit but it ended well.
This was a good, easy to read book that was hard to put down when it was time to go back to work. I enjoyed this book and look forward to reading the next book in the series.
Great book to read. Hard to put down.
I do not like erotic romance books. I skipped more pages than I read. Then I deleted from my collection. I will not read any more books by Olivia Jaymes. NASTY
