I may have reached my breaking point. As if trying to graduate from a school for supernaturals isn’t stressful enough, my relationship status has gone from complicated to a straight-up dumpster fire. Oh, and the Bloodletter has decided to drop a bomb of epic proportions on us all… Then again, when has anything at Katmere Academy not been intense? And the hits just keep coming. Jaxon’s turned … hits just keep coming. Jaxon’s turned colder than an Alaskan winter. The Circle is splintered over my upcoming coronation. As if things couldn’t get worse, now there’s an arrest warrant for Hudson’s and my supposed crimes–which apparently means a lifetime prison sentence with a deadly unbreakable curse.
Choices will have to be made…and I fear not everyone will survive.

The heroine:
Grace – In the six months Grace has been at Katmere Academy, so many things have happened to her, including the three months she spent locked in stone when she first turned into a Gargoyle. However, she is finally come into her own as a supernatural being.
The Hero(s):
Jaxon – one of the royal princes of the Vampire court. He fell in love with Grace from the first time he saw her and knew she was his mate from the first time they touched.
Hudson – he was killed by his brother for using his powers to kill other students. However, nobody asked him why until Grace. He came back and was stuck with Grace in her Gargoyle form, then stuck inside Grace when she finally became human again. He is finally out and completely in love with Grace.
The Story:
The gang is back together again and they now have Cyrus, the king of the vampire court out to get them, with a focus on putting his son Hudson in an inescapable paranormal prison. Grace would be forced to go with him as well.
In order to foil the King, Hudson, Jaxon, Grace, Mekkie, Macy, Flint and the rest of the gang have to free the unkillable beast and find a crown that Cyrus has been searching for over the last 1000 years. They go on more adventures and face inscrutable odds to do what needs to be done. They visit the bloodletter, giants, the dragon court, a crone, a paranormal prison and more.
The narration was done by Heather Costa again and she did a good job. She is pretty great at doing different voices and I enjoyed listening. I thought some of the world building was pretty awesome, especially in the prison. I could picture it all in my head like a movie and it was so good. Grace picks up some new friends along the way and they add to the story and the adventure as well.
Third installment in the Crave series. Don’t miss this one. If you like to choose sides in a book, get ready to make a decision. Tracy has once again drawn the reader into the story with life-changing decisions to be made. The love triangle continues to develop. Friendships are built. Friendships are renewed. Friendships are made stronger. Characters grow based on what they are faced with now and what they’ve faced in the past. You’ll shed a few tears, but it’s ok. Keep reading!
I’ve seen so many mixed reviews on this one due to the love triangle but I’m on the LOVED it side. Yes, Grace is a tad annoying with the flip flopping but that’s the point. She is supposed to be that way. If she wasn’t, and just went from Jaxon to Hudson with no moral dilemma as to her love for BOTH of them, THAT would have been what I disliked.
I actually really love the emotional turmoil and the final realization, by all parties, of what their feelings are, the sacrifices they made, and how it all comes together. I know some believe Jaxon was done dirty but I see a future with his true mate coming soon. I feel it in the way the author wrote the last few chapters.
I, for one, am absolutely loving this series so far. It seriously brings out the inner teen in me and for a short while I get to relive my youth and squeal like a girl, curse like a sailor, cry like a baby, and snort-laugh through the pages.
This book was more of a marathon than a sprint. After the events that happened in Crush I knew that some serious stuff was going to happen, but I was not prepared, at all.
“It’s written all over his face—he would disintegrate anyone—everyone—if it means saving me. He would literally set fire to the world.”
I’ve seen some terribly reviews for The Crave series and I honestly don’t get it. Going into this book you’ve got to know that it was not written for the purpose of the story being “real” seriously, there are vampires, werewolves, gargoyles, and DRAGONS!!! We all have different tastes; I know that but if you are going to read a book where you know going into it that you don’t like the storyline than that just doesn’t make sense.
Anyway, moving on. The whole story that takes place through Covet is LONG but oh so good!! From chapter to chapter, you don’t really know what is going to happen all that you know is that you are either rooting for Jaxson or you are rooting for Hudson. Also, that you want their father to die a long painful death. No? That could just be me then. *shrug* For me it was Hudson all the way, I have no doubt that Grace loves Jaxson but the chemistry for them isn’t as intense as it is for Hudson.
As for the other characters like Luca, Flynn, Macey, and Eden. I loved how they were such a big part of this story compared to the previous two books. Yes, they were in the story, but I felt like they had a role to play here and that was awesome! Now for Remy & Calder! OMG! I am dying to see what is going to happen there because it is going to get interesting no doubt.
This review probably doesn’t say much about the book, but I did lay out my feelings and for a story like this that is the best I have. Too much happened that if I were to comment on it would give too much away and I don’t want to do that. I will say that I am dying to see what is up next for the people of Katmere Academy but especially if we will see our newest Queen rise!!
*Sorry if any names are spelled wrong, I listened to the Audio.*
I guess I should have looked to see how many books there were and when the next was coming out. I finished this quickly, hooked on the characters, the tragic losses, the building intensity of the battle coming their way and now I have to wait for two more books. Sigh. All good, Grace and her band of misfits were a joy to read and I can’t wait to find out how it all ends up.
I literally just finished reading this and OMG, I am not disappointed!
I have been enjoying this series and “Covet” is no different. The group of friends in this book, are so great and they are always ready to back each other up even if there is disagreements between them. There is so much that happens it keeps making you want to read and gave me all of the emotions! I am intrigued as to how this story will continue and what will happen to all of my favorite characters.
It took me a week to decide what to write about this book.
1st off grace’s “panic” attacks doesn’t seem like panic attacks (I’ve had them)
2nd I hated everything to do the scenes from the school. So half the book.
3rd why the heck did it take so long for Grace to make her choice? We knew who it will would be.
4th that ending. Who is the other string? Twin? Mother? Grr that reason is why I’ll read the next book.
Tracy Wolff wanted to kill the readers with this installment, what a fantastic and addicting ride. Took me a day to read and 2 more to be able to write some sort of review. I so need more! Jaxon, Hudson, and Grace among the rest of the characters that are simply amazing. With all the twists, turns, turmoil of emotions had my poor heartbreaking and racing. I heard the audiobook as well and let me tell you it’s brilliant, definitely recommend it. Heather Costa and Tim Paige did a great job portraying the characters. I need Court now!
