A wonderful start to a new series Cover Six Security. It provides some background information to two of the characters. I am looking forward to continuing the story about Mac and TR. Lisa Kamps is a new author to me and I enjoy her writing.
I actually rate “Covered by a Kiss” (nook) as 4-1/2 stars. It grabbed me hook, line and sinker. I could not wait to read the next book “The Protector: MAC!!!
This book pulled me in and kept me entranced till the end. The feelings of love, hate, and pain coming out in waves making you want to cry while you read. This was such a beautiful book! I loved the characters’ wholesomeness!

Book 0.5 of the Cover Six Security series this is a must read series, this is the prequel to The Protector: MAC, Cover Six Security 1, and ends in a small cliffhanger. I will be reading book one. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Wow! I’m always hesitant to read a book that I know ends in a cliffhanger. Lisa Kamps is a new to me author, and I figured I wouldn’t be investing too much time in a novella length book, if I didn’t care for it. I am so very happy I took a chance on it and can’t wait to read the series. Covered By a Kiss is a prelude to the Cover Six Security books and I’m surprised my kindle didn’t go up in flames with the steamy ending. If you’re just looking for romance, the book gives that to you and you can read the last page and be satisfied. If you want to find out what TR gets Mac involved with in chasing down a story involving a killer and a shady senator, Covered By a Kiss is a fantastic start.

This is a prequel to a series that is already available I assume it was written to give more background information for the storyline
In this book we meet TR a journalist who is asking questions that put her in danger and Mac the man that works Cover Six a security company. There will be plenty of drama and suspense in this book and you will need to read Mac to see how it all ends
I loved TR and Mac’s story. The book is well written with good flow and pacing. The characters are well crafted and likeable. The cliffhanger through me a little but didn’t detract from the my joy. I can’t wait to find out what’s next, does the mystery get solved, does Mac give in?

This is a great prequel story to the next book – The Protector: MAC. This prequel introduces Tabitha (nicknamed TR), a reporter for a small newspaper, and Gordon MacGregor (nicknamed Mac) who she loves. He loves her, too, but left her a year before, thinking he was not good enough for her and that the scars on his face from an IED explosion make him look like a monster. A series of events happen to TR: a mysterious email, an unexpected invitation to a black-tie event, an odd interview with a Senator who has something to do with a training facility mentioned in the email, a break-in of her car, and more. And a mysterious, dangerous man is watching her! She needs help from Mac, who is a security agent for a company called Cover Six Security. She needs to find out how all the events are connected and what exactly is going on, which leads to the book which follows this prequel. I highly recommend the prequel as a good suspenseful introduction to the next book. I am looking forward to reading it as well!

Cliffhanger, but I wAnt to continue the story! Lisa is a new to me author – and this was an enjoyable read. Suspense, sizzle, interesting characters I care about. Looking forward to the rest of the series!
This was a great teaser and warm up to the new Cover Six series and even though it is a quick read there is plenty packed into including action, mystery, deceit and denial of how attracted to each other TR and Mac are. All of this has you needing to know what happens next to them both as you know things are about to get crazy one way or another!
I was sucked in hook, line and sinker!! Now, I have to wait for the “Protector” to figure out what happens, not only between two main characters, but also what she is going to uncover. I don’t like the senator already. This is a nice start and teaser to the “Cover Six Security” series. I really look forward to the full story. I really liked Mac and TR! Great characters and great chemistry!
The author brings strong characters and weaves a dark, sexy read and pulled me in from start to finish. She does a great job bringing a mystery with twists and leaves you wanting more with the cliffhanger. It’s well written, moves quickly and smoothly and I enjoyed reading.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. All opinions in this review are my own and freely given.
OMG! What a great start to a new series. They have a history. Some seriously hot history. TR needs Mac. And he’s the man to do the job. The story sucks you in and I cannot wait for the next book!
As with any new release by Lisa B Kamps, I was excited to read this novella and it didn’t disappoint. This 5 star introduction to a brand new series was full of intrigue and attraction. I may have shouted in disappointment when I got to the end as I wanted to know what happened next. Covered By A Kiss is a great taster of what’s to come, and I can’t wait for TR and Mac’s full length book due next month.
*I voluntarily reviewed an advance complimentary copy of this book
This is a prequel to a new series that Ms. Kamps is writing and wow what a start this is! Mac and TR have a history and though they fight and are fighting their feelings, it’s very apparent that they still care very much for each other. But what will they go through to get to a HEA? Looks like I’ll have to wait till the next book comes out and that’s going to seem like a long wait! I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving my review.
A great start to the Cover Six Security series!
This is a novella so there’s not a lot of background about the members of Cover Six Security or Tabitha “TR” Meyers and Gordon “Mac” MacGregor. But there’s enough suspense and intrigue – both between TR and Mac and with an issue yet to be revealed in this story – to captivate and set the groundwork for a compelling new series!
Can’t wait to read the the conclusion of TR and Mac’s story and to see what else is in store for the Cover Six Security team!
Loved it! I cannot wait for more of this series!!!! Couldn’t put it down! I am a big fan of Lisa’s Hockey romance series’ and really enjoyed this book as well! Amazing chemistry and story premise – if this book is any indication – this series is one you won’t want to miss!
I read an arc copy of this book
Wonderful preview to the Cover Six Security series by one of my favorite authors, Lisa Kamps, introducing unforgettable characters and whetting my appetite with a well-crafted story that has me waiting on the edge of my seat to see what happens with Mac and TR. I received an advance reader copy of this book and this is my voluntary and unbiased review.
I loved this story it has awesome action but needed more romance…
Possible SPOILERS
Tabitha “TR” Meyers has an invitation to a New Years party and needs a date so she goes to the best person she could think of Gordon MacGregor or Mac…but he turns her down.
Seeing TR is like a blast from the past and she is asking him to go on a date but it feels like something…sketchy!
When an interview with a senator ends with TR leaving with more questions than answers she thinks sometime is going on. TR’s car was broken into so she calls Mac and he is worried that it might be something else because of how it was done
Wow! What a wonderful and intriguing novella that is an intro to this new series by Lisa Kamps! Besides the interesting story shaping up, Mac and TR have oodles of chemistry and sexual tension. I can’t wait for more of them as I am already thoroughly hooked! Mac can cover my six anytime! I can’t wait for the rest of their story in The Protector:Mac coming in January! I only wish I didn’t have to wait!
