Once again Lily Webb has written a book that grabbed me instantly. I was eager to get back to Moon Grove and see what Zoe and her grandma were up too. It’s election time…
Telepathic reporter Zoe Clarke is running for office. Since moving to the magical town of Moon Grove, Zoe’s become a local celebrity by solving more paranormal murders than she can wave her wand at.
Zoe’s polling neck and neck with some of the most popular witches in town, but not everyone’s thrilled about her candidacy. So when one of Zoe’s competitors is assassinated and she’s accused, her campaign spirals into crisis—and Zoe turns to unlikely allies to help clear her name.

Can Zoe use her soapbox to expose the assassin? Or will the killer leave her just enough rope to hang herself?
Zoe is a strong and confident protagonist, who is coming into her own magical self. I like be the quirky characters and how we learned more about some of them. There were lots of twists and turns to keep me engrossed, I can’t seem to get my hands on the books fast enough . It had become my favourite paranormal cozy series and I highly recommend this series to everyone.

This is a stand alone story but part of a delightful series that follows the transition of Zoe Clarke from bored, normal every day reporter to novice witch. This book finds Zoe running for Head Witch of the town of Moon Grove. During her campaign a murder occurs for which Zoe is accused. To clear her name and salvage her chances of winning the election, Zoe sets out to find the real murderer. There were many twists and turns to this story which I fully enjoyed. I can’t wait for the next installment. I received an advanced reader copy for my honest review.

Running for Head Witch is a lot of work. The political aspects make it harder. Throw in the Crowe’s trying to get Zoe on board with a bid for wand control (think gun control) and the politics of it all get down and dirty.
I love this series and this book is a great addition to it. The characters are amazing (I hate when I get to the end, it’s like leaving friends), the friendships so real and refreshing. I hope these stories never stop coming!

There is never a dull moment for Zoe, if running for Head Witch wasn’t bad enough now she has a murder to solve and all clues indicate to her! There is plenty of red herrings and dead ends to keep you guessing her the killer is as well as tense times on whether Zoe will win the vote, fortunately for her she has great friends like Raina and Flora as well as family like Grandma to keep her focused and provide the support she needs. Not only will you be surprised by who the killer is but also a secret Zoe finds out about one of her friends, who knows what will happen in the next book but I can not wait!!!

I believe that Coven and Coffins is the best book of the series. The book seems to pick up from where the previous book left off, but Zoe has embarked into a political race. This book seemed to be a bit different in regards to the many times that Zoe runs across town in order to track down evidence. I liked this change. It made the pace of the book go a bit faster. Overall, this book was written well and will be enjoyed by many.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. Covens and Coffins is the fifth book in Magic & Mystery series and it was just such a great read. I just didn’t want it to end. I just fell in love with these characters and getting to go along on their journey. I can’t wait to read more wonderful stories from this author.
Zoe is running for head witch of Moon Grove but quickly finds she’s been accused of murder. What else can Zoe do but put her investigative journalist skills to work and find the killer. I am loving this series and Zoe is one of my favorite characters. The story is intriguing and filled with mystery, magic, suspense, witches, shifters, warlocks and so much more. This is a fantastic murder mystery and a great addition to the Magic and Mystery series.
I was rooting for the Crowe’s. I’ve read every book in this series and it keeps getting better and better. All of my favorite supporting characters made appearances, but I really didn’t connect with Zoey like I did in the previous books. As far as Elle, I know she has magic but she doesn’t fit into Moon Grove to me. I liked her better on the farm. Overall, this was an excellent book and I can’t wait to read the next one.

From Reporter to Political Candidate
Zoe is back taking on a new task. Will she make a good Head Witch or will some decide they have had enough of her. Murder seems to surround her even when she is not looking for it.
The competition for the Witches Council is intense will she be able to win bein a new comer to Moon Grove?
This series is fun to read. Zoe will keep you guessing about what she will do next while her family friends worry, comfort and scold her.

Zoe Clark, latest newcomer to Moon Grove has decided to put her hat into the race for Head Witch. She has become hugely popular after having solved some crimes and making living in Moon Grove safer. But of course, with Zoe, crime is never really far – and it definitely spices up the election race.
Like the books before we follow Zoe as she becomes more confident as a witch and discovers more and more magical talents, while solving crimes.
Exciting and well-written, the books are a joy to read, with lots of funny scenes to interrupt the serenity of the crime, making this series a great cozy mystery.

I love this series! Telepathic reporter witch Zoe Clarke is running for the high witch position. When there is a murder and Zoe is accused, she does everything she can to clear her name while campaigning for the head witch position. She is convinced she is being sabotaged, but by who? Great read, and I can’t wait for the next one in the series!

Zoe Clarke has thrown her hat into the ring and is running for office in the magical town of Moon Grove. With the position of Head Witch open, Zoe feels that she can make a difference. With Raina as her campaign manager, Mallory as her speech writer, and Grandma as her support, Zoe is coerced in to learning how to fly on her broomstick; because all witches should know how to fly. Things don’t go very smoothly with the lessons or with the other political candidates, especially when an important witch in the community is killed and her siblings are blaming Zoe for the incident. Now Zoe and the gang are working against the clock to clear her name before the election day.
What pulled me into the story were the characters. I love the relationship that Zoe has with her Grandma and new friends. Zoe wasn’t born knowing she was a witch and I find the love, compassion, and kinship that she has developed with Raina and Mallory are a true sign of long-lasting friendships. I also love that Zoe is an imperfect character who stumbles along the way as she grasps her newfound magic, which seems to get her involved in madcap adventures and a bit of trouble. With a good mixture of humor, mystery, adventure, and paranormal elements, I found this to be a perfect cozy mystery.

I have read several books in this series now, and I always enjoy a trip to Zoe’s magical world. I like that she isn’t an experienced, know-it-all witch as often happens in these paranormal cozy mysteries. In fact, this book starts with a scene of one of her areas of witchy ineptitude: she can’t fly a broom like the other witches. Despite her lacks, she has decided to run for Head Witch because of all the mysterious events she has been involved with previously. All does not run smoothly, of course, when a rival is murdered at a town hall meeting of the candidates just before the election. Zoe becomes a suspect, and she has to use her skills to ferret out the real murderer. In an interesting subplot, some are proposing wand reform (in a way that mirrors gun control in our world).
I like how the author has made this series stand-alone but interrelated, and she gives necessary backstory in tiny bite-sized chunks that are easy to assimilate. Backstory seems to be one of those things that authors quite often trip up on, either giving too little or too much in an info dump. That doesn’t happen here. For those of us who have read previous books, the relationships between Zoe and her friends and her grandma are a delight to watch as the friendships, like with Mallory and Raina, are realistic in showing both closeness and humor, and the familial relationship shows a deep love and understanding. I just like watching Zoe and her peeps interact. I thought that the murder should have happened a little earlier in the context of the story to give a bit more time for the mystery to play out, but it was still a solid read.
Zoe Clarke has decided to run for Head Witch of the magical town of Moon Grove. Along with Raina, were witch mentor and campaign manager, and Mallory, her best friend are trying to get a video of her flying on a broom..Elle, her grandmother and Beau Duncan her boyfriend were there to cheer her on. But the ride does not go as planned, luckily Lydia Crowe saved her. She gets invited the Crowe’s mansion for a meeting only to find out their support but not without a cost. At the next town meeting Lydia is killed and Zoe seems to be getting the Blair. Now what?
This is a delightful cozy mystery filled with wonderful characters and full of surprises. The writer has developed characters that seem to pop off the page. She wove together the murder mystery with the campaign and lots of twist turn, obstacles, to make a great story that leaves you guessing to the end. This book is filled with humour, betrayal, friendship and mystery. I really enjoyed how Zoe kept trying to improve herself throughout the book. This is an awesome easy to read cozy paranormal mystery. This book is part of a series of books and I ca not wait to read the rest of them.

After all the recent mayhem in Moon Grove, newcomer Zoe Clarke finds herself running for the position of Head Witch. Wand reform becomes a hot button topic with the sudden fatal incident at a final town hall meeting before the election.
Trusting her skills and herself, and trying to learn to sort through the people who want her to trust them- a steep learning curve ahead for Zoe.
Moon Grove can only hope she faces it with her usual aplomb, self deprecating humor, and relative success in the end.
An awesome read!

A delightful cozy!
Running for office is never fun and when there are some people are not happy about but come on being accused of assassination have they meet Zoe. The story was a fun cozy with a lot going on you will find it engaging and a trip to read. I recommend it completely. I did receive a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.
Zoe Clarke has decided to run for Head Witch, Moon Grove’s highest and most powerful position and her campaign manager, Raina, is preparing her to shoot a campaign ad on broomstick while attending the broom races. The staff thought it might be a good idea to show how Zoe is mastering broom flight – but seeing the witches racing past faster than the eye can follow is pretty unnerving! But even Grandma agreed it made sense to master this most basic of witch activities – even if it killed her?! Gulp…
With the support of her best friends, Zoe’s holding her own against some of the very popular witches, but unfortunately, there are some people who are not happy at the idea of her possibly winning! When one of the other witch candidates is murdered, Zoe is accused and now must find the murderer – just days away from the election! Can she clear her name and find the culprit in time?
I love this fun series and following along on Zoe’s wild adventures! The story line will definitely hold the reader’s attention as it races along in this exciting tale of politics and murder! We again mingle with familiar characters and meet some new ones as the mystery keeps things hopping in Moon Grove! Grab your copy and join the hunt for the murderous assassin!
