What a dark, tortured story with such a beautiful ending! I absolutely loved it! Ari and Uriel are such beautiful souls!
I am an Honest reviewer, even though i received an ARC copy for my review ,I was entertained by the story and the darkness spoke to me..Gus was great.. Krakon was kind of lame , the over-all story had enough twists to keep it interesting , and the Characters were awesome. awaiting the next in series, this was the 1st for me.
I like Everly, although her life is full of darkness, she is very brave, determined and compassionate. I felt sorry for her feelings of rejection but I also think this very dangerous adventure she is on helps her come to terms with herself and her true purpose. Plot is very detailed and intense. I received an advance review copy at no cost and without obligation from the author.
What is a witch and how do you describe what a witch is? Everly was a witch with red hair and blue eyes. Nobody looked like her and no one wanted any thing to do with her. She went on a strange journey by herself and what happened would knock your socks off! But she also meant a guy and a babe. Now her life is different and she hopes, she never faces another fae again.
I loved this story. While it’s not the first of this series that I’ve read, it’s my favorite by far. It’s a strong story with great characters. I loved the mix of fae and witches in this book. Everly is a character I’d enjoy seeing more of in the future.

But Can Everly, One Hated, Ostracised, Throwback Orphaned Witch, With The Highly Unusual Red Hair and Loathed Blue Eyes (Instead of The Usual Inky Black Which Is The Witches Norm) Escape Out Of Avalon, Pass The Feared Kraken (Which Has Been Attempted, But Never Before Achieved), Make It Into The Human Realm And Find This Chosen One, (Knowing The Only Knowledge On The Prophesied One, Is It’s Meant To Be An Orphaned Child), Return The Child Back Pass The Kraken In To Avalon And Light Up The Realms, And All Before The Dark Fae Coalition Find The Child First? If She Can Survive, Everly May Just Have A Chance, But It’s A Million To One Shot At Best, At Worse…
This is the story of the journey undertaken by Everly (a witch) & Ari (a human), who she meets upon waking in the human realm after escaping Avalon and a mighty battle with the Kraken (the protecteor of Avalon who’s job it is to keep the witches from leaving and any undesirables from entering the realm . They are two very different, flawed individuals who play the leads in our story, along with young Uriel (believed to be the prophesied orphan to return the light to the lands. Can these two adults, whom seem to have different agendas and secrets of their own, put their differences aside, coming together, work as one, not only for assured survival, but for the sake of all and return light back to the realms or will they too succumb to Gus and his band of Brigands, or worse yet the the Grim One’s, because once your Lumens (light) die out, so do you!
While I have read and reviewed many books by Thea Atkinson, and loved them, I did not feel this was her style or up to her usual standard of writing, but this is a long awaited first for me reading Rebecca Hamilton! (l do own some of her books but haven’t had a chance to get to them yet)! And this is my second read in the Charmed Legacy, Dark Fae Hollows series as my love of the Fae, brings me back to their stories time and time again, but was quite disappointed there was so little of the Fae involved in the story!
I found the beginning quite slow and little confusing and did retread it as I had a migraine and while I enjoyed the book I was quite surprised this was written by two extremely talented and award winning writers. I hope it was all due to the migraine but I’m not 100 % sure.
There were a few twists and turns along the way, but the major twist I worked out before the plot was revealed and while I enjoyed the book and got into the ending this is not one of my favourite books nor one I can highly recommend!
I rate Coven Keepers (Charmed Legacy Dark Fae Hollows Book 10) 3.5 out 5
A Good Solid Read, With Likeable Main Characters, And Some Secondary One’s You Just Love to Hate, But For Me Personally, I Feel As If One Authors Voice Is Missing From The Story, Lacking Her Usual Passion And Intensity!
I received an ARC of Coven Keepers to read & this is my fair, honest, impartial review as always.
