Abandoned. Unwanted. Orphan. In a time of war between mankind and fae, no one ventures outside of the safety of the human kingdom. Abandoned in the furthest corner of Amnestia, in a convent long forgotten by most, Cress grows up thinking she’s nothing more than a human of horrendous skill and grace. One moment, the quiet countryside of Amnestia where she’s been raised her whole life is devoid of … whole life is devoid of any danger and the next, it’s there. Powered by a strange magical spell, a castle appears seemingly from nowhere. Ruled by a court of fae few humans had ever laid eyes on and lived to tell the tale, Cress stumbles right into the center of three royal princes. There, she discovers that perhaps she’s not a human at all, but a changeling–a fae child left behind in the ancient tradition of an extinct court.
In the face of possible execution, she better hope she’s a fae, because the worst thing a girl can be in the court of crimson is human.

I loved this unique Fae story. I read this within a few hours. I could not put it down. The characters are well developed and I love their interactions. I need a Roan in my life. He fits his court to a T. He’s fire through and through. Orion is dark and mysterious but has the heart of a King. And Sorell makes me want to throat punch him and then jump him in the next breath. Cress has her hands full for sure but I think she’s up for the task. The mystery of the story really drew me in. I’m so curious as to Cress’s past and can’t wait to read more.
Court of Crimson by Helen Scott is an awesome story that I hve read. This is book number one in this aawesome start to a brand new sereis that I have fallen in love with and can not wait for the next book in this awesome series. I highly recommend this story to everyone who loves reading about fae and paranormal romance.

What a story that is full of twists and turns that is so original and unique. It is beautifully written with amazingly beautiful characters. I loved Cress and her strong personality. She is kind but also has a fiery spirit. Roan, Orion, and Sorrell have such different personalities but yet they are fierce and strong. They chemistry is strong and felt throughout the story. There is drama, suspense, a bit of mystery, lots of action and some sexy love scenes. It is a gripping story that pulls you in and doesn’t let go. This is a fantastic first book in the series. I can’t wait to read the next one.

Fantasy/RH
I love it when I dive into an unfamiliar author, or authors in this case and they completely blow me away. This book was a breath of fresh air. I was slowly sinking in the quicksand of Kindle Unlimited, dying slowly from all the books I couldn’t finish. I read this book straight through, very consumed with the mystery surrounding Cress and her patronage. There’s mystery like I said, plus three sexy fae princes, a sassy herione, and a touch of humor. I really enjoyed this RH/Fantasy. The story is easy to follow, not much world-building thus far, I really appreciate that when starting a fantasy series. The characters were vividly written, each one described with a spark of interest. The last few chapters had me on the edge of my seat. If you’re looking for a new world to dive into, I definitely recommend!
I need to read the next book right now.
A Great First Fantasy RH Read!
I’ve always wanted to read a fantasy book but never knew where to begin, and then I joined Lucinda Dark’s/Lucy Smoke’s street team and it was like fate. This was such a good read, I was hooked from the very beginning. I’ve never read anything like this before and because of this book, I definitely will be reading more.
Real equaled adventure. Then again… real could also mean death.
I felt an almost instant connection with Cress at the start of the book. She was the girl that never fit in, always knew something was different with her but couldn’t quite figure out why. Cress was a girl that felt trapped for 21 years, being left as an orphan at a convent. It wasn’t until she hit her 21st birthday that things finally started to change for her and in my opinion, for the better. Being drawn to the castle of the Court of Crimson, there she meets our RH: Roan, Orion, Sorrell. The three of them all skeptic with her, Cress never faltered and stood her ground strong. I loved how she wasn’t afraid of them, and given the sudden revelations throughout the book on who she really is, the jealous female faes, and the hot and cold from Roan and Sorrell, she stood up for herself like a true fae.
This book is filled with a great feel of comedic relief while still keeping the seriousness of the plot. I loved the natural progression she has with the rest of the harem, it’s not too slow nor too fast; just perfect. The book is hot, the book is fun, the book is swoon worthy.
The ending ends in the perfect kind of cliffhanger that makes you want to read the second book as soon as possible.
Court of Crimson is the first in the Twisted Fae series and the first I have read of the author and I can’t believe I have waited as long.
The story finds us in the middle of a war between the Fae and Humans at a human orphanage that has been the home to Cress for 21 years.
Things quickly changes when a castle appears from nowhere and Cress stumbles upon the 3 princes that rule it.
She may not be human either and as she faces death if she is I was hoping that she would pass the tests to prove she is in face a changeling (a fae child left behind as a human).
I found that I quickly loved Cress as she was such a sassy female who had always been outspoken and a rule breaker. They guys were all so different and I want to get to know them.
The authors have done a great job a setting up this intricate world with fab characters which has left me eager for more.
Definitely on my recommend list for those who enjoy Paranormal Romances.
Ive never read a book about Faes before and I am so glad I started with this one! I couldnt put this book down and finished it in 1 night, im so glad I finally read it. Cress is a young woman who grew up in an orphanage during the wars between human and fae, she always felt like shr never belonged and soon finds out why that might be when she stumbles upon a castle of 3 princes. The style of writing is fabulous and the Authors should be very proud of themselves, Court of Crimson ends with a boom and I had to start the second book straight away!
A delightful fantasy book starring Fae’s and their need for sex to reload their magic.
Cress is a young woman who came to the monastery as a baby. On the day she turns 21, she hears a strange noise that only gets louder. She faints and when she comes to she wants to know what she has heard and what she smells now. On her search, she comes across a castle she has never seen before. She manages to enter and then she turns out to be in a castle of the Fae’s. According to the 3 princes who rule there, she broke in. Until they breathe in her fragrance; that is not ordinary human air but something else through it; Changeling? But weren’t they eradicated? Who is Cress, or maybe; what?
While she tries to find out who she is, her presence is not appreciated. 1 of the 3 princes distrusts her and a woman who is in love with 1 of the princes wants her dead
I thought it was a great book! HR romance wrapped in a paranormal story

This is a fab fae read! A fab collaboration with a great storyline and intriguing characters! It’s well written and has plenty of action, suspense and romance, there’s good guys and bad and that ending, well Can’t wait to read the next book!
Court of Crimson sets up an intriguing world, introduces wonderfully crafted characters, and brings the reader into a story that promises intrigue, drama, and passion. Cress has led a sheltered life, and watching her discover who she truly is, including her sensual side, is a lot of fun. Roan, Sorrell, and Orion have mysterious pasts that I look forward to learning more about. I also look forward to learning more about the world this book is building. Warning – it does end on a cliffhanger, so wait until book two comes out before reading if that will bother you.
Wow! I absolutely loved this! Cressida’s inner dialogue is just hilarious and her curiosity gets her into some dangerous situations that are just such a joy to read. The world-building in this book is also wonderful and I love all the characters (except the ones we’re not supposed to like, of course). I love that her relationship with each of the guys is progressing at different speeds, it leaves some romantic anticipation there to go along with the action! Literally the only thing is I wish there was a bit more steam, but the story was so captivating that I am still giving it 5-stars. I can’t wait to read what comes next!

Multi POV
Our heroine was raised in a convent thinking she was nothing special. But when the Fae castle shows up out of nowhere, she learns that nothing could be further from the truth.
This is book one of the series, so an obvious place to start.
This is a fantasy story that has a bit of a reverse harem going on. The writing is good, but the book starts very slow. The world is intriguing and seems to have a lot of depth to it, but it is not well explained. The characters are interesting, but we don’t get much background on the relationships between them. There seems to be history, which makes sense with fae, but it is not explained well to the reader. In short, this book suffers a lot from being a first book. There is clearly a lot that the authors wanted to present, but couldn’t fit in. If you have patience, I suspect we will get more details in the next book and the premise is really intriguing. I myself am unsure if I wish to proceed or not.

These authors did a fantastic job writing this book together. I love reading stories about the Fae and this one definitely did not disappoint. It’s one of my favorites so far. I enjoyed all the characters from the very start and I am so excited and can’t wait to read the next book.
Court of Crimson is off to a great start on this Twisted Fae series. I am a big fan of both authors so I knew going in I was going to enjoy this, and I did very much so.
The storyline itself was one that grabbed my attention, and pretty much from the start you are pulled into an action packed fun read that I could not put down until the end. However I found myself a couple of times somewhat lost, but that is just due to not much past info or history. So that being said, since this is book one, I am sure that any confusion will be cleared up in upcoming books.
So overall I feel Court of Crimson was a great first look into Cress and her story. If you are a fan of either Helen or Lucinda, you will enjoy this series very much.
Dropped off at an orphanage at only a few months old, it’s all Cress has ever known. Now that she is about to turn 21 she must either become a nun or leave. The night of Cressida’s 21st birthday she becomes mysteriously ill and ends up wondering off and into a fae castle/fort. Cress meets the three princes in charge and they are all fascinated by her and the fact she was able to enter their castle. Humans and Fae have been at war as long as Cressida has been alive and their first impulse is to execute the human. However, they decide to take some time to figure out what happened and discover lots of secrets. I received an advance copy of this book and voluntarily left a review.
This book is very different from most books regarding the Fae….in this story the Fae are not hidden from the humans, as a matter of fact they are at war with one another!
After growing up in a convent and never feeling like she fit in, Cress is looking forward to her birthday so she can get out into the world!….She has only ever experienced the Fae in books but soon she is in a castle full of them and they are telling her that she is not just a human girl as she believes.
These authors did a great job with their world and character building but the way this book ended was not the cliffhanger you would expect when there is a next book in the series…. despite this I will be reading the next installment.

I’m totally in love with Cress, Roan, Orion, Sorrell, Nellie, and even the pixies. It’s one of those books that is so good to read that we forget the world around. Hope the next title comes very soon.
I love both of these authors and was really looking forward to this book but it didnt live up to my expectations at all. Really dissapointed. I dont know what happened but it seems to lack that spark its as if both authors have neutralised each other.

What a great start to a new series! Cress, an orphan, does not fit in with the nuns, she is different from the others and life is not easy for her, but little does she know what’s in store for her, life is about to change in a way she never predicted.
Very well written this story flows along at a great pace, I love how descriptive the story is and with a great cast of characters (I am team Orion btw) great world building which sucked me right in, looking forward to book two!
Great start to this new series!
This story will entertain you and captivate you from beginning to end. It is full of drama, suspense, intrigue and lots of little twists and turns throughout. The story is original and unique with some very interesting characters. Cress is one tough girl, with a very sassy mouth, a strong personality and all kinds of fiery spirit. Roan, Orion, and Sorrell are sexy, unique in their own ways and utterly fierce and strong. The chemistry between these four characters is strong and oozes off the pages. It is a gripping story that pulls you in and doesn’t let go.
This is a fantastic first book in the series. I can’t wait to read the next one.
