The Country Cottage Inn is known for its hospitality. Leaving can be murder.
A laugh out loud cozy mystery by New York Times Bestseller Addison Moore and her partner in cozy crime, USA TODAY Bestseller Bellamy Bloom.
Cider Cove, Maine is the premiere destination for fun and relaxation. But when a body turns up, it’s the premiere destination for murder.
Kittyzen’s Arrest (Country Cottage Mysteries 1)
Bizzy Baker runs the Country Cottage Inn, has the ability to pry into the darkest recesses of both the human and animal mind, and has just stumbled upon a body. With the help of her kitten, Fish, a mutt named Sherlock Bones and an ornery yet dangerously good looking homicide detective, Bizzy is determined to find the killer.
Dog Days of Murder (Country Cottage Mysteries 2)
A seminar on how to catch the perfect man is being held at the Country Cottage Inn—but with a killer on the loose, the only thing in store for the guests is a lesson on murder. Not only do I have another homicide on my hands but Jasper’s ex is in town and she’s looking to take back what once belonged to her. It’s October in Cider Cove. There’s a fright around every corner—and a killer closer than I’m willing to believe.
Santa Claws Calamity (Country Cottage Mysteries 3)
It’s Christmas in Cider Cove and it’s time for the annual house decorating competition. But on the night set to determine the winner, the residents of Candy Cane Lane get more than they bargained for. They don’t just get an award—they get murder.
more
Even though the murder happens fairly quickly, it’s a slow build of investigation. Written more like it would happen instead of just jumping from once action point to the next. While at times the portion of hiding Bizzy’s secret felt like it was dragging on, at the end there was always a nice twist to make me want to jump into the next one to see how it was handled. The family dynamic was fun and a little crazy and exactly how twisted family gatherings can get. Love how the fur babies are incorporated into the story as added characters not just there as a footnote. It’s a good, entertaining and easy read and will definitely be buying the second set.
I was in the mood for light-hearted but interesting mysteries. Country Cottage Mysteries filled the bill. I binged from one to the next. Can’t figure out how the characters could enjoy all the calorie laden treats described and still find a way to move around though!!!
The main character in this book series can read minds.
The narrator’s first person voice telling the story is light and refreshing, definitely the best part of the books. The worst part? Another set of authors with a poor vocabulary who rely on a thesaurus and choosing words without Understanding that the words are inappropriate to the text. The breezy style almost cancels out the forced word choice, but overall the books were a disappointment.
A great setting and a great series of stories.
Love this series. I have purchased almost all of them! So glad I got the first ones free as I stumbled upon a great series!
Reading minds really is a scary super power. Yet, the real lesson of the stories has to do with secrets and the way the past can haunt you.
Easy and fun to read
These 3 books are a fun read. A woman who can hear thoughts of humans & animals. Then there is the funny way she manages to be the one discovering bodies & figuring out who done it. I’m glad I have the box set so I could go from one book to the next.
These were great books, loved the characters, the four legged ones as well. Cute easy to read mysteries. Great summer books.
Enjoyed several of the recipes in the books! Kept me interested….light entertainment.
Descriptions of the main character’s boyfriend and other people (clothes, looks, traits, etc.) are VERY redundant and not necessary to make the book interesting.
Cute stories, especially if you are a pet lover. I enjoyed reading these, but don’t think I would like to stay at this inn.
Really enjoyed these books.
I read all three books straight through. Great characters and the animals are funny!
Fast paced easy to read book. Really enjoyed reading.
Not into mind reading
The books are interesting, easily read but I do not like cliffhangers. If a book has the potential to appeal to the readers’ interest, what need is there to leave you hanging? To make you buy the next books? Just for that, I’ll not buy any of the following
Seemed pretty juvenile, and desperately needs an editor to deal with misused words and repetitive word choice
Too juvenile and cliché
