Merrillee Whren’s new release, COUNTRY BLESSINGS, is on my To Be Read list!
The story of this book made me smile and warmed my heart. I loved the characters, really loved them. They were relatable and sweet, kind and thoughtful in their own ways. The love and redemption of God flew off the pages. I’ve always loved the country so the settings here were just right up my alley.
I received a copy of this book and this is my honest opinion.
I really enjoyed Country Blessings by Merrillee Whren. It is the second book in her series the Dalton Brothers and definitely worth reading.
Rachel Charbonneau is home after being gone ten years. She had never intended on returning, but when her mother passes away she must come home for the funeral and to settle her estate. What she doesn’t plan on happening is seeing Matt Dalton again after all of these years and realizing that her feelings for him have never changed, but is that enough to make up for all of the bad memories that she has of her home and her home town?
I’m looking forward to reading more books in this wonderful series!
I was given and ARC from the author/publisher. All conclusions are mine and mine alone.
Merrillee Whren has written another winner with Country Blessings! Actress Rachel is a great protagonist who has turned her back on God because of some circumstances in her life but has come back home for her mother’s funeral. Rachel’s daughter, Becky, is delightful! Full-time school teacher and part-time farmer who was wounded in the military, Matt is a wonderful male protagonist. Matt wonders why he ever let Rachel get away. You will enjoy this sweet romance in a country setting. I received a complimentary e-book from the author. This is my honest opinion.
Sweet story filled with tenderness, love, compassion, trust, forgiveness and more. The characters are each dealing with their own stresses and need to make decisions. Will they find answers and possibly find love along the way? I enjoyed this story very much. I received a complimentary copy of the book. No review was required.
An actress who has lost her faith returns to her roots after her mother dies. When she gets reacquainted with her old crush, she tries hard not to fall in love with him. After all he has tremendous faith that she lacks and she plans on going back to her career. Being surrounded by people of faith and caring may just change her mind.
This book had so much heart in it! How would an injured war hero ever attract a well known actress, even though they’ve known each other since they were young? Matt Dalton is very happy when Rachel returns to their Midwest hometown for her mother’s funeral but he knows she isn’t sticking around. She’ll sell her family’s farm and go back to Hollywood, he’s sure. However, he does get her to stay for awhile and considers that a win! Rachel’s daughter, Becky, is so cute and she adores Matt. I liked the secondary characters also. Rachel goes through a lot of experiences during her time in her hometown and with Matt. When it’s time to make a decision, what will she choose?
